Paypal Store Nuked

At the culmination of an absolute **** couple of years, Paypal waited until I put every cent of spare $ into paying off my loan, then immediately nuked the account claiming I am selling illegal/prohibited items.

There is nothing there. They did this before, claiming Clear Edge was a "prescription", but I was able to get that reversed. This was a few years ago and I can't remember what I did.

As of now, we are completely shut down and there is no way to contact them to find out what they are talking about.

Anyone dealt with this before? Any suggestions?

My store funds are frozen and I'm not sure how long I can hold out with zero revenue.

Yep.

They have zero information and there is no appeal process. They refuse to provide either a phone number or email address for a human that can look into what happened.

Ugh.

I hate it when companies do that.

I hope you get a good resolution man.

If I happen to think of anything, I'll let you know.

It's not about the money. There isn't any, luckily, but I am unable to take any orders or ship any product. My store is shut down.

Oooooooh. We were running the store through squarespace; we were just using PP for payment processing.

have your domain run by WIX or squarespace where they have payment processing option for businesses that doesnt go through paypal. I do not see anything related to PAypal on wix website. perhaps cut ties with paypal

Greg/Admin is helping me. I'm clueless here. This will derail the rest of the year. Probably zero restocks or new products, if we can even keep going at all.

I dont know PP fees for purchases but WIx states this

"Wix Payments charges a processing fee of 2.9% of the transaction amount, plus $0.30. This is charged for every payment you receive through Wix Payments. Wix's processing fees are pretty standard – both PayPal and Stripe charge the same 2.9% + $0.30 fee as their basic rate"

best of luck. creating websites on Wix is pretty easy, if needed just run a very basic storefront. later on you can design better. swithing the domain to run by wix may take 24hrs+ that may just the timeconsuming part.

best of luck

Honestly you have enough of a rep on here to run email and cash app until resolved or a new store is up and running. A certain segment of the BB industry run their entire operations in this fashion if you know what I mean. Far from ideal I know but better than zero money coming in. F**K PP to the moon and back I will NEVER do anything through them ever again as I had issues years ago. IMO if you are in the business of processing payments then do that and STFU about everything else. The games they play with people livelihoods is despicable.

Hate to hears this man, hope you find a resolution or way around things so you can reopen shop and take orders. Most who know your rep on this board would have no issue paying through cashapp or something either.

Just run a cash app/bank transfer until you get it resolved and then get away from PP.

Apply at authorize.net asap and get up and running again. Just don't let them have you use EVO payments as they will drop you as well. Ask for a flexible/high risk processor.

You can do what russianstarpeptides do is advertise your product on wix and give nicknames to your product without giving away any hint that it’s test or pharm or whatever... use code words... and then set up western Union payment method or so... we all trust you. Instead of setting up payment via wix, wix will only be used as an advertisement front and when you get the “order”, email your clients instructions to pay via western Union.
PayPal is notorious of screwing people over and I too have bad experience with them.

Paypal are the absolute worst when it comes to this - claim supplements are a high risk category.

There is no contact number to speak to any actual person, the entire process involved you needing to submit things through their portal and wait ages for a response (generally just repeating the initial rationale), until you finally just concede defeat.

What are the legal ramifications if u run your business through bitcoin?

I dont know your marketing reach beyond AM, but I bet 90% of your AM business already has at least a coinbase or something similar.

It's a pretty common cryptocurrency. Its fairly anonymous, when compared to PayPal. And I think it could be set up without having stop business, which I suppose is the point of this thread.

I won't pretend to know what tax laws are for running a business through crypto. So maybe that would be one of the things a company would need to learn while setting this up? I'm sure dsade had an accountant who could help with that.

Oh no T!!! LOL I think I might need reinforcements for this explanation.

You don't have to use PayPal or crypto, and can still use old school payments methods. But maybe do a quick YouTube search for them just so u know what they are since a lot of us cool kids use them

Bitcoin is legal much in the way accepting goats or chickens is legal as long as you pay tax on said earnings.

Paypal froze my merchant account as they said I had a large increase in the volume of transactions in July vs June years ago. I said yes but that is because I went into business in july you f**King idiots lol. They did give ME MY MONEY back after a couple weeks, which was so very nice of them. Screw them to the moon and back.
