Don’t tell me that you think by handing out more money in the form of reparations will all of the sudden make all their problems go away? What other program, benefit, scholarships, affirmative action, preference, or other program can we possibly give to make white liberals like you happy? a lot of us lost our ass in 2008. i lost my longtime job making good money at international paper and was forced to cash in 401k at a huge loss due to stock market crash plus early withdrawal penalty plus double taxes. i was crushed, i had lost my lifes savings at at age 50, and had no prospects.... i spent many sleepless night on my knees praying.
we sold our house and moved to a small town and used proceeds from sell of house as start up funds for my business--the 1st few years we were barely able to eat and pay our bills....but boy we sure did have it good-eh?

Shouldn't the end goal be a strong and united nation? I get that everyone has different views on how that is achieved, but if you constantly pigeonhole the less fortunate and make them suffer because they don't have the same opportunities you do, then don't get angry when they decide they've had enough.

This is the typical definition of what makes a socialist state: a system where the means of production, distribution and exchange are nationalised or under state ownership, or simply a system in which social values or workers' interests have economic priority.
In a true Communist state, the govt is authoritarian and there is no private ownership of anything.
That obviously does not apply to the US. A lot of people prefer private ownership of things. Most liberals I know believe in the idea of class structure, but where they draw the line at companies, who have literally said increasing wages for their bottom line wouldn't hurt them, but refuse to do so anyway.
The reality is, like I said before, you guys grew up at a time where wages were relatively high and costs of living were relatively low, house prices cost 3-5x your annual salary and that the entry requirements for entry level jobs did not require a degree or more to enter. If wages had stayed in line with when you guys were younger, people wouldn't be complaining so much. Its really not that difficult.
The average income of a family in 1970 is the same as it is now - and that is despite house prices and the cost of living rising exponentially in that time.

Most people spouting inequality and are militant about the rich propping up the poor have never been poor. I grew up straight trailer trash immigrant family, yet I don’t hate the super rich. I admired them and studied them and decided that I would get my ass out of the trailer park. You will always have a group of people that can’t be happy for peoples success or have the willpower to achieve that success. Their solution is to drag everyone down to their level. Well I say **** that. I worked way too damn hard to get myself where I am.

Where is your family from?
Mine is from Sicily, my father dropped out of school in the 5th grade. When it came to college he threatened to disown me if I left. Anyways mad drama after and my youth wasnt easy which included living in my car for a while because I had no direction in life, but just saying, alot of people have a story and it has nothing to do with melanin. I never asked government for shyt or understood the concept of stealing from innocent people to pay for my problems.

i do...i was raised next to the biggest project in indianapolis, the vast majority of people i grew up were either black or poor white trash like me-yes, i definately met the description of poor white trash. raised by a single mom back when everyone with only a very few exceptions had a mom and dad living in the household and poor as dirt.

lol, college-yeah right...my high school had close to the worst graduation rate in the state, i look at it as a major accomplishment to have just graduated high school. back then either you were truly exceptional or family has lots of money for college--back then college was reserved only for FORTUNATE SONS of which i wasn't one!!!!
