I grew up gulf coast. My seafood consumption is way down. Put in PI it’s pretty all I eat. I think the meat there is nasty and cheap quality. So fish is always safe.
the pig and chicken i ate out in the province was home raised--everyone had a pig and chickens were everywhere---i used to pay the neighbor kid to get the chickens to screw-they would be up in the air for about a minute going to town, i really got a kick out of that....fresh eggs too!!!

but you are right, the seafood was top notch!!!

damn...those were some good times, somedays i feel like convincing my wife to pack up and move there but can't leave kids and grandkids behind with all this crap going on and that is about to happen.

Democrats are truly the dumbest creatures on this earth. Followed closely by single cell organisms.

To think they used to say (and probably still do) Trump was unfit to be president. Meanwhile, this administration can’t even secure our borders or provide us with f*cking gasoline! Nor do they want to..

you are right-they had to see this coming if diben got elected and they still voted for him :geek:
Everything has been quite predictable for sure. I will never understand the motive behind why some people close to me voted for him. Early onset dementia, mental illness, and extreme naïveté?

Even if that is not the case, Trump spelled it out for everyone in very simple terms on numerous occasions before the ”election.“ I guess they thought he was just kidding 🤷‍♂️

A very good Post from another forum I am on:

Only 4 months in!!!!!
So...Israel is on fire, war in the middle east, Major US pipeline hacked, price of everyday goods is skyrocketing, Russia is massing troops on the border with Ukraine. Ukraine is threatening to take Crimea back by force. China is threatening Taiwan and its neighbors while also threatening our ships and Navy. N Korea is testing missiles again and restarting their nuclear weapons program. Iran has been emboldened and making more than their normal threats.
Our southern border is a humanitarian disaster caused directly by this administration, and the administration that promised transparency is hiding it and not letting the media have access. Ford is closing a plant and moving it to Mexico after just bringing it back from Mexico because of the current Administrationâs plan for Increased taxes.
Price of steel up 145%,
Lumber 126%,
Wheat up 25%,
Food index up 25%,
Cotton 35%,
Silver 38%,
Copper 50%,
Soybeans 71%,
Oil 80%,
Pipeline jobs lost.
Wall construction jobs lost.
1.9 trillion in stimulus that funds the administrations pet projects and only paid a fraction to the people.
29 trillion in debt with 4.8 trillion projected 2021 deficit before the 2 trillion dollar stimulus proposed today for the new green deal.
6+% unemployment with millions of job openings that canât be filled because federal unemployment assistance makes it more advantageous for people to stay home than work.
Man what an interesting time with the new administration but at least NO MORE MEAN TWEETS!!!

Its all about the mean tweets.

Excuse me, I'll have to go put on my skinny leg jeans and a hat, but after I apply my organic beard oil.
If I start adding this to my coffee and cereal will I start to understand the suboptimal thought process of a liberal?

yup-always, even when buying new and especially used. my son in law is a avid bow hunter, i won't make a move until he checks things out.

on the other hand had another great day fishing, nothing spectacular like that 20lb catfish but enjoyed the hell out of getting out early in my boat--country living is the life for me!!!

If it was up to me and I had to implement a "fair tax" it would be a flat tax rate with the lower 20k or so exempt to help poor people.

Progressive tax is absolute lunacy, you shouldnt get punished more for being more productive and successful. With flat tax you already pay more with each extra penny you make. Of course I would eliminate (over time) socialist policies and get these taxes as low as possible and so tax money is spent on thigs that only help our country as a whole.

Now with the actual "fair tax" your talking about Im doing some reading and hmmmm.....first impression is not bad.

Forget flat tax. What we need is VAT. That way every person is paying their fair share when they purchase things. Don’t want to pay taxes? Then don’t buy ****. Young, old, rich, poor, everyone gets a fair shake.

The great thing about a fair tax (fed sales tax) is that is captures taxes even from illegal drug money. And if the rich are buying yachts, they in essence pay a higher wealth tax by choice.

And there would be money saved on some IRS (though likely still very involved with business/corporate taxes... unless you propose private citizens add that tax burden too!)

The BAD thing about a fair tax, and the reason Dems will always oppose it, is because:

1) the poor and middle class have less disposable income. All of their money, paycheck to paycheck is spent on necessities. And thus all taxed. It becomes a higher tax rate per income by percent.

2) Meanwhile the rich would not be taxed on money not spent. Savings and investments not taxed when not actually spent. And the rich for the most part already bought their nice house and expensive cars.... they could go with buying less and avoiding some taxes.

I like the Herman Cain style 9-9-9 plan... or adjusted to be like a 6-8-10 plan.

Everyone pays something. Everyone has some skin in the game.

And maybe let's focus more on cutting spending, and worry less about how to forcibly take the money every year.

Voting would look much different if everyone that was voting had some skin in the game. Nothing worse than a bunch of gimmedats wrecking our country for no other reason than some scumbag promising them free ****.

Thats what Im all about. Punishing productive behavior is a human rights violation, yet there are those "life is slavery people" who prop up the very system that enslaves them.

1) no, actually the poor and middle class have far more disposable income. plus you are not taking into account the monthly rebate on all living expenses. Remember.. everyone is now taking home their entire income instead of 60%.

2) show me one rich person who for what ever reason just stops buying new stuff. I know these people .. I have built homes for some of the wealthiest people in the country. they aint going to stop buying dik all. In most cases they are paying sales taxes plus fed taxes. Trust me .. they will have so much extra cash they will buy MORE new sh17.

remember too, this was Herman's way to get to the fair tax federally.... He was one of the biggest supporters of the Fair tax.

How is anyone going to have "so much extra cash" in one tax plan vs the other?? The total amount raised raised to run the country is the same with any tax plan. So if you imagine someone is paying less in one plan than someone else is paying more.

In your idea of a fair tax, who is paying less and who is paying more of their money each year.... poor, middle, rich, corporate? In your idea of a "fair tax" which of these groups is going to pay more and which pays less to come up with the same yearly total?

I like the tax plan under which the Federal Government only is funded for essential core functions, not all of the nanny-gate crap they are increasingly involved in. The more things they get involved in, the more things they control and eventually the more things they completely take over - creating more dependence on the Government (until there is complete dependence on the Government).

The Government is staffed by people who have never had any operate under P&L responsibility, and who usually have no experience or expertise in whatever they are responsible for. It amounts to an ongoing and expensive armature hour staffed by liberal ideologues who believe the Government should have a say in EVERYTHING.

Get rid of the Federal Dept of Education, stay the hell out of regulating MY supplement choices, stop social re-engineering ...

All of this crap is ruing our country and leading us into bankruptcy.

First off.. the fair tax is not my idea.. its completely fleshed out by the some of the smartest economists in the world, and again.. if there is 0 taxes coming out of your weekly paycheck then you would have more money.. its plain math. Now as to your question.. Being that the individual has complete power on "when he wants to pay his taxes" is on him. In the Fair tax.. sales Items can only be taxed 1 time. and that is when its new only.. If you were against paying a certain amount OR any at all.. one could abstain from buying new ****. in fact you could buy a house without paying any taxes on it... or a car ... or anything at all, and after all that still receive a monthly rebate check.. meaning you could actually game the system so to speak.

@thebigt my little girl and I got compound bows this year, I’ve still got a lot to learn about them. The sound of an arrow arrow cutting through air and slamming a target sounds so awesome. Requesting you make a bow thread and post a shot vid if you get the crossbow! I’m interested in how much harder they can hit.
If you are going hunting with them I highly recommend you change out the nocks for lumenocks. Awesome watching that glowing arrow. Finding an arrow out in the woods after it deflects off of bone and soft tissue gets complicated.
