Yea I feel like by that point everything will be shut down again anyway. I don’t care about the gym but I work in hospitality so that’s definitely concerning. I’m in Philly and they’re shutting down indoor dining. It was 27 this morning, who’s dining outside?

Looks like it is back to cardio focus. On the plus side of that, I took my annual and did all my bloodwork last week and my doc said whatever you're doing keep it up because my BP and HR were as low as they've ever been.

Governor DeSantis is the best. Probably a future presidential canidate.
😂😂 not gonna lie, from over the pond it’s never seemed like ‘being the best’ candidate normally correlates with who ends up on the ticket in the states...?

and yes, I appreciate that right now we also don’t appear especially great given our recent choices.

I want that New Zealand prime minister personally, she seems fucking spot on 👌

you know what I think is so **** with Harris is every headline I ever see about her states that she’s a woman and of colour, like those are her greatest achievements in life.....I think that’s horribly offensive to her as a person. Talk about her achievements as a DA for fucks sake, the success in crime detection rates under her increased massively but literally all anyone focuses on is her gender and ethnicity which I think is a bit sad personally......

And Harris isn't even black, in the African-American use of the word. Her mother is from India and her father is half Jamaican and half white.

At best she is 25% dark complexion, and last I checked Jamaica is in the Caribbean, positioned closer to America than Africa.

She wins the title of first 25% Jamaican, if titles like that even mattered. I would be more impressed if she earned a slot on their bobsled team.

The crazy thing is CNN classified Don Lemon as a “journalist”, rather than a commentator. Same thing with Chris Cumo.
Fox does the same to Hannity. It’s the system to blame rather than one political side.

Also, do y’all think gyms will be like pre-corona after the vaccine has been widely distributed? I read an article about a box gym here in VA that redid their ventilation because of corona and an infected instructor got 0 members sick, despite exposing ~50. Personally, I think changes along those lines are good going forward. Maybe in the future getting a cold from someone in the gym will be practically a thing of the past!

I personally think it's much that reporters now put information mixed with opinion and personal emotion and can play it off as facts. I remember when at the bottom of most articles said something to the effect of "these views do not represent the views/opinions of the body". What happened to putting out fact and letting people make their own call.

Public life won't be the same but I'm not worried about all this corona crap. Yes unfortunately some will pass. My tenant did about 3 weeks ago. She was overweight with multiple health problems. Her son, d-il, husband never tested positive despite being in the same home 🤷.... Truthfully I'm more concerned with bringing shower shoes to the gym so I don't get warts or athlete's foot. If I die from corona I'll take i played a part, but I'll never be ok with the government making personal decisions for me.

at least hannity says he is a conservative and doesn't hide it...unlike cnn which claims it isn't biased?

if i want just the news without opinion bret baier is the man-tucker carlson also isn't afraid to call out the right.

here lately i've been getting turned off on fox, they are going way too left for my taste...if you want left winged biased news you have many choices to choose from---you lefties always turn to fox because it's the only channel that gives a conservative point of view and thus always kicks cnn/msnbc ass, because lefties have so many choices to choose from.

Next the sheriff's and health inspectors will come back with paperwork to shut them down for real. And THEN the business owners all gotta unite and push back at the same time. There will never be enough gestapo to man-handle every business at once.

These dickhead politicians are drunk on power right now. The cure for the virus has already become worse than the virus itself at this point. But that’s okay...we are saving the fat diabetics and people with one foot in the grave already. Great.

this is why democrats are into defunding police-they want to install brown shirts with legal authority to enforce laws current police would not, imo.

Sure a virus sucks but many physicians I’ve spoken to have seen a massive surge in suicide, depression, child abuse, spousal abuse, substance abuse, etc. So you’re spot on when you said the cure is worse than the virus.

It’s a blatant power grab yet the masses are begging for a vaccine with zero long term safety and an experiential rna MOA.

To everyone worried about gyms closing and building a home gym, you should be putting your money to preparing with food, water, medical, and defense supplies.

I kind of just ignore the stuff now but, at least in my area, they couldn't get enough people from various culture to even sign up for vacc testing and they were paying them like they do all genie pigs. I'm not getting a vacc anytime soon and don't feel like I'm against the norm... it was kind of ironic the local anchors were pushing how important and needed it is... Be nice to see them volunteering but do as I say, not as I do

1) I choose Fox because it’s well known and mainstream. Not using OANN as my reference of choice lol.
2) Fox isn’t getting too far left. They are just telling the current occupant he lost. What a shame someone is doing some math these days, right?
3) Bret Baier and Chris Wallace are pretty honest reporters. Tucker Carlson always feigns ignorance like some kind of jackass and that stunt got old after the first time.
4) I prefer to get my news & opinion fill from Michael Smerconish on SiriusXM. More down the middle & good insight from people who call in from all walks of life. Mindlessly tuning into any big program whether it be OANN, FOX, CNN, or NBC is for lazy people.

Because 95% of the population are window licking mouth breathing mongoloids. And I am being very generous with that calculation. The people hoarding TP deserve this virus.

I hate the updates on this site....this thread is still going and I haven't seen it for months!

Like most things in life I think the answer is complicated. Yes, the virus is real and we need to do something and take precautions and probably make some sacrifices. But, Yes the democrats have used it as a power grab. I don't see that as proof it isn't real - it is still a tragedy. But this is what dems due, Just like Rahm Emanuel always preached, never let a crisis go to waste. This IS a crisis, and the dems don't give a F about citizens.

The sooner we all start realizing we shouldn't be focused on proving this to NOT be a crisis and should be focused on showing how the Dems screwed people during a crisis and used it to their advantage to advance their own agenda, the better off we will be. Instead we are debating whether we have lost 250,000 or 225,000 Americans this year and if that proves masks don't work.

We have become desensitized to the massive loss of life this has caused. In February if I told you that we would have lost 50,000 Americans to a cold by April I would have been a quack. I am on this board estimating 200-250k deaths by the end of the year in April and I was being told I was insane and that it will be closer to 100K.

Now we are past 250k and we just stopped caring. I don't even check the numbers anymore really. But the Dems have fooled the conservatives into believing this is about wearing masks and death rates and while we are fighting that, they are making their real moves.

We lost 250k to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other terminal diseases. China virus was just the straw that broke the camels back. If America wasn’t a bunch of fat fucks eating like there is no tomorrow, zipping around Walmart on mobility scooters, and drinking 2 gallons of soda a day we probably wouldn’t have a fraction of that. Gluttony is what is killing Americans. Not this scam virus.

Sorry man, I agree with you on a lot - but I call you when I see it. Yes, obesity and commodities play a huge role and yes, this is what makes this disease particularly deadly to Americans. It's a reason to be MORE afraid of it, not less.

But your logic is flawed because if it was obesity, diabetes, etc. that was killing Americans, we wouldn't have hundreds of thousands of deaths more this year than previous years. Those comorbidity are not new, they were their last year and the year before, and before that, etc. Ultimately, we are all going to die and you could use your logic to ignore ANY disease. We are all terminal. If something kills us sooner, well, we were going to die anyway.

Also, just so you know, obesity is generally associated with a lifespan equal to people who are "normal weight" and being overweight is generally associated with having a longer lifespan than "normal weight" - being overweight doesn't kill you; the data suggest it lengthens your life. Similarly, we have evidence that obesity improves the survival rates of stroke victims. Just an interesting side note for you.

I agree that Americans are out of shape, and could improve their health, but they are not and that means they are susceptible to this virus. 70% of Americans are overweight, 40% are obese. This doesn't include the people who have commodities and are normal weight. Yes, you can have diabetes, immune dysfunction, etc. and be otherwise "in shape" - so you're probably easily looking at 80%+ of the population that is "at risk".

Further, there are plenty of people who are strong and healthy that are dying from this disease - we even just lost a power lifter in his 30's (yes, I'm sure he was probably overweight).

But focusing on death rates is only part of the story. Plenty of otherwise healthy people, even the ones who were symptom free when they had Covid, now have long-term neurological and cardiovascular impairments that are effecting their lives. But we don't hear as much about that because the immediate threat is death.

And I agree we are doing a lot of dumb things, and we have too much fear and emotion and not enough logic, and this is getting old. But the virus can be a real threat/crisis while all of that is true...and we shouldn't fall into the trap being set for us because we are now arguing over something stupid when we should be fixing the real issue.

You basically articulated what I was saying. If America wasn’t a bunch of lard asses we wouldn’t have as many dead from this pathetic virus that most never know have it. It’s the lifestyle that is making this idiotic virus so deadly.

As for the power lifter that just died, have you seen him? Not exactly a beacon of good health there. This virus has panned the globe and it has affected Americans most. As someone that spends more time out of the states than in it I can tell you straight up, Americans are fat beyond belief. It’s downright disgusting compared to any other country save for Mexico.

The mask is just a false sense of security bestowed upon us by our two bit chump dictators so that people will venture out of their home and keep the world somewhat spinning. It is not going to stop that virus. Sorry, that is absurd.

Bottom line: we have a gluttony problem. Easiest way to solve it would be for clothing companies to stop making clothes above a certain size. Can’t fit in a XL shirt...too bad here is a bed sheet and a safety pin.

Part of me likes the clothes idea. Part of me thinks that I've already seen too many fat people who can't fit into the clothes they have.

One thing is for sure. Whoever thought making plus size booty shorts and yoga pants was a good idea should be castrated and then drug behind a truck for about 20 miles and then drawn and quartered.
