I tried the mango this past weekend. It was really good. The initial taste was mango but then it faded into a peach flavor. Very refreshing, light, crisp and delicious. The carbonation was on point too. Not too munch like but not too little. The “bubbles” were small (if that makes sense) and really complemented the taste well. I will say, the only downfall was a slightly weird/vitaminy aftertaste, but not overwhelming to where it makes the drink unpleasant. No doubt due to the ingredients and dosages they included.

Overall, I’d give it a 9/10! I would have zero hesitation buying a case when it drops

My review of beams
Adjustments.JPG

vegan protein that @The Solution sent me. Posted on fb. Thought ppl might be interested here.

I’m a bit bored on a Monday morning. So thought I’d write up a review of this sample pack of Vegan Protein I got from a buddy. The company is Beam. To my knowledge they’re a newer company in the supplement market.

Anyhow so they carry two flavors in their Vegan Protein Chocolate Brownie and the one I had, Blueberry Muffin. Each serving gives you 100 calories. 20g Protein. .5g Fat and 3g Carbohydrate. Mathematically this comes out to just about 97 calories so things match up pretty well in that respect label wise. Label is also transparent, which in today’s market, is a great thing to see when deciding on a new product. I’ve included photos including the breakdown of protein sources they used as well.

Price is a bit higher than I typically pay but 25 servings for 36$ after discount is very comparable for vegan proteins, which typically do run a little higher than whey blends due to the higher cost of the raw ingredients used.

Years ago when whey alternatives hit the market I tried several of the Vegan options. They were mainly Pea based and to be honest I wasn’t a fan the consistencies were not agreeable and the taste itself did not intrigue me any further. Fast forward to 2020. I’ve been hearing about the lengths Vegan options have come since the earlier days. Lots of excellent reviews. This is the first chance I had to try one and I’m impressed.

Opening the packet you get a typical powder smell but I got a decent scent of the blueberries, and it definitely wasn’t offensive to the nose. I mixed the powder with 8 oz water. You can definitely use other liquids and use higher or lower measures to taste. But if a foam upon mixing in the water, but it settles down very quick. Mixed pretty good, not much sediment stirring around. There was a clump at the bottom of the sides of the cup, but that most likely was me not stirring deep enough. Some protein you just swish the spoon around and it’s mixed, others you do have to do a little work, making sure you get anything that settles to the bottom of the cup. Some hate this, but if you know what to expect up front, it’s never a dealbreaker to me, just 2-3 seconds extra stirring.

The shake was on the thicker side, which is a huge plus for me. Protein flavored water is fine and all but feeling like you’re actually having a shake is definitely something I desire in a shake.

They did an excellent job with the flavor. It’s a nice blueberry taste, not fresh like out of the garden fresh, but way better than a lot of the artificial blueberry tastes that are out there. You also get the muffin aspect, during the sip but more prominent in the aftertaste. And none of that artificial blueberry aftertaste that lasts for hours after. I couldn’t tell the difference that it was a vegan option and not whey based, which definitely shows how far these options have come since I first tried Vegan blends years ago.

Bottom line: great tasting protein that I’d consider in the future if I was looking for a blueberry flavored protein. They did a really nice job that I think Vegans will enjoy and look for but also something that non-vegans will have no problem enjoying as well. The 20g protein is a bit lower than most whey blends but is on par with the average amount in vegan proteins, but in all honesty if you’re choosing a protein because it has 23-25 grams you’re kinda just looking for a reason not to try it. 20 is fine.

Anyhow You can get 4 free samples by emailing @The Solution. protein #vegan #veganfood #veganprotein

How the mighty have fallen eh.

Can't believe no one commented on the fact you get 24 less serves per tub as well.
Ya I didn't think the change was too bad. Choline + Carnitine is the backbone of so many powdered "fat burners" nowadays, Theanine at the end of the blend means it probably isn't super high, but Ornithine at the dose in there is probably a wash.

Then I saw it is now 60 servings and I was pretty "meh". I feel like one of the few dudes who doesn't just rip on PES on here, but unless this is like $20 a tub it seems pretty crappy to make those switches.

Energy was solid. I like the 200mg of caffeine, anything more is too much for me and not needed IMO. To be honest, I can’t comment to the full effects, because I shared it with my wife. But I did feel a bit more focused afterwards. I have a lot of experience with the ingredients (as most of us on here have as well) so I know what to expect.

I don't understand Gaspari. I feel like they re-imagine their brand and label design every year. I have no idea if they are coming or going or what their newer products are.

Ghost Whey
Marshmallow Cereal Milk — with full size marshmallow
Coming soon
Bob you know the guys at Ghost right? any insight to what flavor this might replicate? Is it cereal milk with just added marshmallows or something else? With that said, cereal milk is a badazz flavor so probably still worth trying.

Lucky charms . That’s why it has full size marshmallows.
If you watch the videos I post on here it dictates that as you can see them testing it and Dan explaining it.

8:30 mark

It took Ghost a little longer to develop Marshmallow Cereal Milk because they wanted to nail the oat flavor, and not just have it taste like the OG cereal milk with marshmallows.

Also — Ghost is working on a vegan version they just need to finalize vegan friendly marshmallows

I like the look of this profile and the fact that there's NO L-Theanine to ruin the stimulant effects
makes it look even better on paper.
At least there is that but they did the whole blast of B vitamins thing that is annoying. I think that companies do this to try and make people think that B vitamins are somehow going to make you superman. Sure if you are deficient you might feel a little extra kick but otherwise they are vitamins like standard fair that you live with day to day. That much B6 isn't necessarily a good thing and that B12 will just to go waste and be excreted from the body.

A lot of new new from BFF
New product should be dropping next week :)
Any idea on when they might do a big sale again? I know they had one in August but didn’t see any for Labor Day. Apple Pie is worth a buy when it lands just for unique flavoring, to me.

Also ---

Big news from Nutrabio as Eric Schwartz left.
Curious to see where he goes as he left Universal for Nutrabio, and is now a free agent.
Did Eric ever own LG Sciences at one point in time?

New Olympus labs Massacr3 formula below along with a brief write up.

IMG_4928.JPG

The Story Behind Massacr3:

As many may notice, this is not the first version of Massacr3 to be released, Olympus Labs set out to improve upon the previous version which contained Laxogenin, another well renowned ingredient. They are incredibly happy and confident to say they delivered!

While Tectochrysin is incredibly potent in its natural form, Olympus Labs never settle for good, they strive for outstanding. Olympus Labs utilized its custom PhytoFUSE delivery system, to help improve the bioavailability of Tectochrysin dramatically! Not only does it significantly aid in the oral absorption, it also increases the serum half-life of the compound, allowing a longer duration of action. Typical extracts of Black Ginger Root will only contain minute amounts of Tectochrysin, their extract process yields a highly pure 98% active! This is on top of providing you with a whopping 200mg dosage of its PhytoFUSE form.

They did not stop there, they wanted to give you a serious turbo boost by adding in two of their most recent innovations.

The first was Vaso-6, a potent vasodilator that stimulates nitric oxide levels 10 times greater than Citrulline.

And then there was the ingredient that perfected it all, Urolithin B, an ingredient that in studies outperformed Testosterone while using significantly lower dosages. An ingredient that is essentially a bodybuilder’s dream; a natural ingredient that helps to build lean muscle while preventing muscle breakdown. Let the next chapter of your muscle building journey begin today with Massacr3!

The Science Behind of Massacr3:

Tectochrysin PhytoFUSE: Derived from the roots of Black Ginger, this ingredient is essentially a building block which your body uses as a blueprint to create its own benefit. A study into the various Methoxyflavones in Black Ginger showed that Tectochrysin was the most potent of the Methoxyflavones in respect to skeletal muscle hypertrophy, delivering the greatest increases in Myotube diameter. Its beneficial effects include increased protein synthesis and nitrogen retention while promoting other anabolic effects such as increased, muscle endurance, muscle recovery, and lean muscle mass through increasing skeletal muscle hypertrophy. Additionally, Tectochrysin has been shown to aid in skeletal muscle ATP production, skeletal muscle glucose uptake and exercise performance. PhytoFUSE, is a unique delivery technology that enhances the bioavailability and absorption various classes of compounds, including Methoxyflavones. Research has shown that this method of delivery can enhance potency and duration of action substantially!
