Anyone worried if Corona virus keeps spreading the gyms will shut down?

I agree, winter will be a bleak time unless a vaccine is found and rolled out (extremely unlikely imho). Typically a flu season places the medical services under higher levels of pressure so it wouldn’t take much of a ‘second wave’ for everyone to lose their ****.

I’m hunkering down in my home gym with the absurd amount of juice I’ve stashed and getting massive this Christmas. When we start to re emerge next year and the pressure is on to repopulate the earth after 90% are wiped out I want to be first on the remaining females list (just none of you fuckers tell them I’ve had the snip 🤣)

bro, I have no intention of repopulating the earth - I just want to be the first pick on the ladies ‘trying to repopulate’ the earth list.....

not sure if you have kids but for me the trying for kids bit is way way more fun than actually having them 😂

my stash includes plenty of cialis so I’m think I’ll be ok getting steel rod hard as and when required 😉

Will this event now show that the latest therapeutic's and antibody treatments can beat this thing? If an obese 74 yr old can quickly recover there is real hope for getting gyms open again soon! (*second wave pending....)

Will Trump take a figurative victory lap when he gets out of the hospital (after his real one the other day in Limo1) to show no-fear of the virus? Or will he use this health scare to display a more serious cautionary tone regarding the virus?

Lib friends are really hyperventilating over that limo ride.... as if the secret service will take a bullet for the man, but not a chest cold!!

I can’t fathom being in a place where the gym is still closed. Ours was technically closed down for a couple weeks, but all members have their own key so some never stopped going.

i am 62 and no longer have any worries about contracting covid---trump put it to bed!!!

i said from the beginning i had little faith in a vaccine, it was going to be therapeutics for treating symptoms that would win the day, and here we are!!!

1) You know he had much better care than any of us could get right? Go try and get the regeneron cocktail and let me know how that works out for y’all.

2) Big difference between the USS taking a bullet when someone shoots at the President and the President being the one to (metaphorically) shoot the bullet at them. He didn’t have to needlessly expose those agents and he should show some common decency and respect for people who risk their lives for him and not have done that.

Hilltern - terrible Analogy. In this case Trump is not shooting bullets. And no secret service agent has ever died of covid. And these agents are generally young and healthy with no real risk from the virus. And everyone in the limo was wearing a mask, which we were told is the one thing needed to keep everyone safe from Trump!

Also with Trump being on the most advanced therapeutics in the world, having not had a fever for 48 hours, injected with antibodies... can anyone prove he was even contagious in the car??

Did those particular agents even volunteer for his car ride?? Remember - this isn't the white house with Hillary Clinton screaming at the agents and throwing ash tray's. LOL

Finally cancelled my 24 hour fitness membership when I saw that they charged me $1.37 for an online class I didn’t sign up for.

Ugh... just checked. They’re open again but I just bought another gym membership somewhere else. Ugghhhhhhh!

Yah crazy my gym has been charging me again to randomly one month my membership the next month my wife’s .... they are being very sneaky ... I think our gym opens next week

It wasn’t the best analogy but you get the idea. Throwing yourself in front of a bullet is inherently different than the person you’re saving purposely putting you at risk they could otherwise prevent. And, an absence of proof that he was contagious is not proof that he was not contagious. Also, they edited his videos to remove him coughing, so clearly even with amazing therapeutics (regeneron cocktail) that mind you no one on this site could get right now he was still having difficulty. Hell, he still needed supplemental oxygen. If you told me we could all get his level of care that would be one thing, but we can’t. Furthermore, there appears to be long lasting effects from the virus in people who recover and/or are asymptomatic. Why not just try to avoid it like the plague that it is? I just don’t get why that would be a bad idea.

This sudden media concern about the secret service ignores everything these same brave men have gone through in the past, for every protectee and their innumerable photo ops around the world. On both sides of the aisle. And given how it was well documented how Hillary treated these same agents without a peep from the leftist hacks, it makes my blood boil.

But to recap, I think former secret service agent Dan Bongino responds to this bogus hysteria the best.... agents are stationed near the president even when he had raging Corona standing guard 24/7. At the white house, in the helicopter, in the car. At ALL times. It's utterly ridiculous to attempt to made a political outcry over one moment of coverage among ENDLESS secret service coverage.

My gym doesn’t require it either, but I keep mine on. Since it’s such a small gym, people are pretty good about wiping the machines down.

I don’t know who ever said that’s the end all be all. Stop listening to idiots and/or straw manning. Masks just aid prevention significantly. Just as Trump could have not spent our tax dollars on a little jaunt around the block.
 
59k cases reported yesterday. My gym doesn't require a mask now and they spin a huge ceiling fan in the gym. Stay home or keep going?

Man why are you so angry? Hearing my governor and Biden talk about masks as, yes being the end all to stop the spread of COVID, is making me sick. And name one president that hasn’t spent tax payers dollars on a “jaunt around the block” or a seemingly needless trip somewhere.

I'd make that decision based on personal health. If under 50 and without comorbids (overweight, asthma, heart conditions, etc) I'd not worry so much. But for those more at risk there is nothing wrong with living a more cautious lifestyle until out of fall flu season!
 
Covid 2nd wave picking up speed fast in Europe. France and Germany announcing some form of nationwide lock down again. And Belgium and Czech Republic might even be worse..

Any local reporting from our European members?? Our media only covers Covid to claim it's all Trump's fault!

i read where the death toll in europe has passed 250,000.
 
I was always hoping "herd immunity" would eventually catch up... but from what I have been reading, natural antibody immunity is very short lived - like 4-6 months.

As such, it would seem the 2nd wave could be even worse than the first.

Already starting here in CO. They said if current rate continues, the hospitals will be at capacity in the next 3 weeks. They are planning for 100% remote learning after the holidays and our counties are moving into level 3 and stopping "non-family related" socializing. Also, the resorts are talking about possible delays in opening as well.

It's F'n lame and depressing to think about a winter of this.
 
Time to invest in a home gym boys. If you plan on working out for 10 more years its worth every penny.
 
My gym closed for one day then said, “f it” and opened back up.
 
All gyms and indoor dining closed until January 1st. Thank god I put together a nice home gym with everything I need plus some haha

Yea I feel like by that point everything will be shut down again anyway. I don’t care about the gym but I work in hospitality so that’s definitely concerning. I’m in Philly and they’re shutting down indoor dining. It was 27 this morning, who’s dining outside?
 
Looks like it is back to cardio focus. On the plus side of that, I took my annual and did all my bloodwork last week and my doc said whatever you're doing keep it up because my BP and HR were as low as they've ever been.
