It seems like every time I talk with a native all they keep talking about is the plans they have for when their casino money comes in. I am sitting there thinking you know by the time that money comes you could have gone out and earned 1500 bucks...🤷🏼‍♂️
 
Totally off topic with this post but you fellow veterans will know where I’m coming from. My daughter’s boyfriend is at Camp Schwab in Oki. He’s been there about a week. His unit is on quarantine as a precaution for COVID. They just delivered packaged sandwiches to him and said check for mold. The sandwiches expired December 2018. Yes over a year and a half ago. He made a post about it on Snapchat and his unit found out so they crawled his ass about it. Some things never change. The Corps has always gotten the leftovers and the worst of it as well.

Most wont see much of anything, there is alot of corruption in many native groups.

The Natives in best position are the ones that arent recognized as official "sovereign natives" by law and get crap from the government, instead they have the entrepreneur spirit and earn money such as the Lumbee Nation.

There is a chain of command for that and that chain of command is not a fan of embarrassment and attention to things that don’t make them look good. If I was active duty I would not be on social media or be extremely cautious of what I were to post.

Hell this is the closest I get to social media. I don’t have Facebook or any of that ****. He said his unit could possibly be on quarantine for up to two months.

I stayed off of social media until this year when I finally got a twitter and Instagram account. But I am no longer in a position where I have to give a **** what anyone thinks of me or if I am offensive to anyone.

The quarantine thing is an exercise in stupidity. Quarantine 2 weeks before going down range. Then go through contaminated airport and airplane. Land in theater and then quarantine again on a different base for 2 more weeks and then get in a contaminated vehicle with a driver that hasn’t quarantined to be brought onto base. Meanwhile there are contractors that have special badges to come and go without needing to quarantine.

I am about another instance in stupidity from changing the name from China Virus to Moron Virus. This virus is bringing out the idiot in everyone.

Totally agree with you. There’s so much that makes no sense about this virus. You can’t keep your environment completely sterile. Lots of paranoia and misinformation has been spread.

It's best to not use the US as a prime example of quarantine working.

Look much further abroad for countries that have done it right.

Lol I was thinking more like Europe. Italy practically stamped it out after huge widespread outbreaks because they were so effective at quarantining once they realised their population was so vulnerable.

We hit 0.71% positive rate, the lowest or one of the lowest in the country. 6 deaths yesterday with 408 new total confirmed cases. This is in a state that is 4th most populous in the nation and still have some traffic coming in from other states.

Been traveling across the state this past week and a half for the first time in my life being that I cant go to China this year.

Its really funny, Ive never felt so privileged before being a New Yorker and having a New York ID. Certain places you go you cant even enter such as the Casino and some hotels if you come from out of states and dont prove you quarantined yourself for 14 days or tested in the past 72 hours and have a document to prove so.

Best part about it, its not really best because of the circumstances but all my traveling in the summer has been void of massive crowds as the Summer in norther and western NY regions are usually jam packed in the summer. Its really been a benefit although I gotta say I wish it wasnt for these circumstances.

They certainly lost alot of tourist money, I do know Niagra which is amazingly in despair was suffering heavily from tourist revenue due to the borders being shut down on top of lack of domestic travel.

My example was the military not the US. My state never did a quarantine and we are just fine.

Usually no, but milestones in society are meaningful. Obviously Im voting for Jo because of her political ideology, education and qualification, if she breaks a milestone and earned it without any type of affirmitive action its something that should be acknowledged and cheered.

I was just using Mitchell and how she primarily stole opprotunities from other people because of her skin pigment rather than her individual qualifications and drive.

Pokihontis wants to use both her womenhood and her pure native american background to get ahead, and then lies to female children when women with different political ideologies are on the very ballot just a step away from achieving the dreams she pretends to admire.
