Yes, he had all the symptoms they talk about, he said it was scary. He have isolated himself in his home since.
it would have been much worse if he were over 60 and not so healthy to begin with...I am 61 and pride myself on staying in great shape and health, but even for me I fear it will affect me more than someone who is younger and in decent shape--i'm not concerned with it killing me, but I have older people I am in contact with who are not so healthy-been trying to avoid them as much as possible and when i do have contact keeping my distance and wearing a mask.

I was sick a couple months ago pretty bad...I felt like **** but got over it...if all of this was going on at the time...i, no doubt, would've thought it was "much worse" because I actually had the infamous virus.

Hell, I may have actually had it...who knows...everyone now is saying its "way worse" because it's been treated that way by the mainstream media

Could be but he had more symptoms than those usually flue comes with like trouble breathing, dizziness and blurred vision. High fever and fatigue is expected but the other symptoms can be scary. Also, his gf got it as well and they have a 5 month baby, baby didn’t get it, luckily it doesn’t look like young kids get it.

I can say as a father of 3 and granddad of 4 there is almost certainty the child would have caught the flu....if there is a silver lining[no pun intended]it is that children are for most part being spared from this virus, at least moreso than from past pandemics, at least in my opinion!

But will it actually make a difference or is it all just hopes and prayers? I have yet to see a definitive answer. I use Epicor year round, and believe it helps. Anecdotally it has prevented me from catching colds from coworkers while working(construction) in close proximity. Covid-19 has shown to be extremely contagious though. Is there any reason I should believe boosting my immune system will stop it in its tracks?
The immune system that you cultivate (or not) is your first and last line of defense. A robust immune system prevents viruses from taking root, or in the event they do is still the foundation for how your body fights it. Which is directly tired to both the intensity and duration of the disease.

If you don't believe that, take a look at people with compromised immune systems and how they fare insofar as incidence and severity. They get sick a lot more often, and the sickness is almost always longer in duration and more severe in its symptoms. AIDS is a great example. Acquired, Immune DEFICIENCY Syndrome. These people eventually contract a virus or other pathogen and die from it - because their immune systems are non-existent. No soldiers to fight an enemy invader? You're done...

Usually sooner vs. later...

This study shows that bAET will increase cytokine production, but to what extent? One of the ways that makes COVID-19 deadly is the cytokine response, so how would this not make it worse? Let me be clear that I am NOT saying it does, just curious how we can say one way or the other.

I can't find a copy of the paper as it's not showing up in sci-hub, so I'm only going off the abstract and maybe they provide more details in the article. But they're just using ConA rather than actual virus or infection in a rodent model, so kind of seems like a leap.
Great post and observation. I just started a run of Suppress-C (B-Triol). If it helps with immune function, great, but that's not what I'm using it for. But with the data like you mentioned, if I or anyone using it were to contract Covid, I would say to stop using it just in case because no one knows for sure.

I run Invictus off and on all year long and never catch a cold or flu even when those much younger than I are around me and sick. i'm 61

I don't think any supplements will stop you from contracting it. I think any company claiming such a thing is being reckless and irresponsible.

I do think though that the healthier your immune system is to start with, likely the better chance you have of it not being as bad and recovering quicker.

There have been some good suggestions in this thread and props to the person that mentioned Lysine because its inexpensive and often gets overlooked.

My personal immune support stack:

Immune Support XT - 6 caps per day (Elderberry, Black Currant, Olive Leaf, Echinacea, Grape Seed, Vitamin C, and Zinc)
Buffered Vitamin C - 1.5 grams per day (Immune Support XT has 500 mg. additional)
Lysine - 2 grams per day

+ I take a lot of other vitamins and a few herbs as my year round basics. I'm glad to answer questions about those, but the ones above are the ones that come most to mind with this.

And most people that get it will be so mild or have no symptoms. Like any other virus. A couple years ago the media was freaking out for 2 to 3 months about influenza hitting hard and killing young healthy people.

Obviously because of what our community is, most of us are more than likely taking measures to boost our immune system. Hypothetically we hope this will keep us from catching the Coronavirus, but is that the case? If exposed, will a strong enough/boosted immune system keep us from catching the virus, just shorten the duration of infection, or are we kidding ourselves?
If what we are taking either increases parts of the immune system that inhibits or fights the virus yes. Several drugs have shown the ability to inhibit the virus from getting into healthy cells or directly inhibit the virus.

I'm taking Arbidol (and a few other things) for that reason so my risk of getting enough of the virus to cause an infection should be lower than not.

My cousin is recovering from corona, felt like death for 10-12 days but feeling a lot better now and recover more for every day. He’s 40, in great shape, eats well and working out a lot, but, he runs a nightclub in Miami...

Social distances is the best way to avoid getting sick, so guys, please be careful and avoid contact with other ppl as much as you can. Stay safe!
You know, it's amazing how the experience is different for everyone. Some people who recovered from the virus said that they just felt a bit of discomfort while others said it was a miserable recovery.

Please, nobody take Colloidal Silver. Ever. For anything.

Can colloidal silver help with disease prevention?
No.

"Scientific evidence doesn’t support the use of colloidal silver dietary supplements for any disease or condition," according to the NIH. In fact, the institution goes on to reinforce their stance with the following statements.

  • Silver has no known function or benefits in the body when taken by mouth.
  • Silver is not a nutritionally essential mineral or a useful dietary supplement.
  • Colloidal silver and other complementary products or practices that have not been proven safe and effective should never be used to replace conventional medical care or as a reason to postpone seeing a health care provider about a medical problem.
And if you read that last one closely, now you might be wondering...

Wait, hold up, is colloidal silver even safe?
No.

Harvard's Medical School warns that taking colloidal silver may cause brain, nerve, and kidney damage, as well as cause stomach distress and headaches.

And it can also turn your skin blue.

Like, Smurf-blue.

The science on it is certainly weak however Silver nanoparticles is more promising.

Silver nanoparticles have been studied for their antimicrobial potential and have proven to be antibacterial agents against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria [1216], and antiviral agents against the HIV-1 [17] hepatitis B virus [18] respiratory syncytial virus [19] herpes simplex virus type 1 [20] and monkeypox virus [21]. The development of silver nanoparticle products is expanding. They are now used as part of clothing, food containers, wound dressings, ointments, implant coatings, and other items [22, 23]; some silver nanoparticle applications have received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration [24].

Btw a coworker of mine got tested and already had the anti bodies, that means he had it and didn’t even know it! So this seems very individual, my cousin (big, in shape, healthy guy) felt like death and a my coworker (skinny small guy, not so healthy but not unhealthy either) didn’t even know he had it, and some other ppl just fall down and die, scary!

I am taking 12-18 g vitamin C per day, 10,000 in vitamin D and Gut Health.

There are some other good ideas on here too - but I feel like these items are cheap, safe and modulate immunity such that you can both fight infection and help prevent an over-response from the immune system.

I work for a big corporation that have unlimited resources and that guy is a part of the “quarantine group”, it’s a group that stays at work for 2 weeks, sleeps there and can’t go home. All in that group have been tested, I have not been tested so idk how it works. This just from what I heard. We’re not allowed to be in contact with them.

You are probably right, but over doing zinc can cause problems. I guess the key is to not be deficient. I take 30 my at night with my sleep stuff.

And if course, I am taking this time to get plenty of sleep. I have been sleeping in since this started, since work is slow anyway. It is amazing how tired I have been and after 3 weeks I am actually just now starting to feel recovered from the work I have been doing.

I think I've stated this before, so, please mind the lapse.

*"Shield and Defend" from BLR has plenty of zinc if you don't already have a sup.
Also, to fill in or even if you don't, you can easily provide enough zinc with food.

I mean, dietary zinc in oysters is crazy, then you have meat, etc., Most of us will not
be wanting for more zinc in our lives. Also, I have a sleep aid that has zinc in it.

*That said, there is more to D&S than zinc.

Yeah, I’m only getting 7.5mg zinc in my multi but I get over 30mg total from food a day. It’s probably enough, but I might add another supplemental 15mg as well.

My current stack (updated)

Vitamin C (4-6 grams)
Vitamin D3 (6000 iu)
Vitamin A (8,000 iu)
Vitamin K2 (100 mcg)
Selenium (100 mcg)
BLR shield and Defend, containing:
Elderberry 400mg
Quercetin 200mg
Zinc 15mg
Greens Powder

Anyone seen anything redundant here, or any concern with my dosages? I'm open to suggestions and critique...

**a couple weeks ago, my Vitamin D3 levels were 47 mg/ml. Thus, why I'm at 6000 iu supplementation***

I work in a field where I deal with people on a daily basis, many of whom have bad hygiene.

Usually it gives people diarrhea or at least loose stools at high doses. I take 6 g a day for years...si this isn't as huge a jump for me. I had some looseness in the beginning but it is back to normal now.

Although it can drip cortisol and reduced cort can seem diuretic..

honestly, I think that vitamin C should be at least double! I’m with Hit4me at about 12g now.

if you can find it, Evomuse GutHealth might be something to consider too. It gives me side effects (histamine) so I use a bifidobacterium/lactobacillus blend to control histamine and antiviral activity.

Not SARS exactly, but can’t hurt and controls my histamine issues.

Great post. Gut Health actually, in theory, can help prevent some viral infections in a few ways. Obviously healthy bacteria can help kill off some things. But these healthy bacteria occupy spaces in our guts that a low things into out blood stream. If those spaces are all full of healthy bacteria, it is much harder for unhealthy bacteria and viruses to get through (in theory).

Also, thickening up mucous in the gut lining can be helpful for the same reason and gut health helps with that as well.

Of course, if you inhale a virus into your lungs, having a barricade in your gut doesn't help.

So, I was wondering if Metformin may have a roll in helping avoid SARS and such, since I thought I have seen that it had some anti-viral activities.

But I came across this, which seems to be important for people to know, especially since the people on metformin clinically are also the same people who are most likely to be critically ill and need chloroquine treatment.

Did someone say this things is slowing down? "There's light at the end of the tunnel"?
I think the numbers are going up. It's math. Some people just don't...

The mortality rate has gone up:
From my previous calculation of 2.71 to 2.86
I would say that's a significant increase, and definitely not a slow-down.
More cases, even more death.

Stay home.
Oh, and don't be taking any non-FDA "approved" treatments for Malaria. Sh*t can kill you.
Or, you'll can just go blind.

Trump: “What do you have to lose [by taking an unproven drug]?”
President of the American Medical Association: “You could lose your life.”

This is the drum I have been beating. Obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes are high risk factors. In America, that is basically everyone. If this runs loose - major problems. It will be way worse for us than it was for China it Eurooe, etc.

Having said that, for someone who is against brainwashing, you really jump to blame trump for everything huh?

Trump has always taken the stance that drugs should be available to people with terminal illnesses - approved or not. If you are going to die anyway, what is the harm?

Having said that, I agree with his sentiment even if I understand it can have complexities. People should be able to fight to save their lives with anything they feel is appropriate as long as it doesn't harm others.

I mean, you make similar statements about marijuana in here all the time about how people should be allowed to use it - it hasn't been approved for pain. It causes brain damage, can cause cancer, can worsen pain, has hyperemisis which people completely deny exists or are unaware of, etc. It isn't going to kill people, sure, but it isn't risk free like people promote.

Likewise, I tout Vitamin C and D, and people on here are touting zinc, quercetin, elderberry, etc. We think these things are safe but who really knows with this virus?

And Trump has never told anyone to take it. He said it could be helpful, he even said it could be a game changer which was outrageously optimistic, and now it is being tried and the results look to be very mixed so far. I have seen some optimistic reports from doctors, some optimistic studies, and some other studies that really shed doubt and show the death rate isn't improved much.

You just have this knee-jerk reaction to blame trump for everything which is ironic when you go around telling others they are brainwashed and can't think for themselves man.

But, not gonna lie - I am so sick of the Trumo bashing I have a knee jerk reaction now to just not believe it because it usually turns out to be a waste if time (like trying to impeach him from the day he took office and grasping at straws for 2+ years when they could have been doing something for the country.)

Exclusive: Pressed by Trump, U.S. pushed unproven coronavirus treatment guidance
No, he's quoted. It's dangerous to go on national television and tout this to people.

I would say this about anyone doing so.
I provided a quote, and a response by the Pres. of the AMA.

I'm sorry, you seem upset and tangental regarding my support for legalizing all drugs, and are using my words as such to show it's ok for the President of the United States to say it's ok to take them to treat a condition it was not tested for. There is a vast difference in meaning.

I wanted to use Marijuana for my mother and father's cancer so they could stop taking the Morphine which was causing horrible side effects and a quality of life that was unacceptable, and it was prescribed by Doctors. Again, a big difference.

We are in a pandemic, and it's a serious problem that requires serious people.

It's clear I think the President is a reckless and selfish person that has not once done anything without some sort of angle to profit himself, and it is also my opinion he is pushing this drug for selfish reasons. He doesn't care about life and death because he is a Malignant Narcissist. Not capable of empathy.

Why can't you see it is what troubles me more?
He deserved to be impeached and removed from office. The evidence was clear and the GOP failed their oath.

Edit.
I think Pence would have done the right thing! Early, and we'd probably be in a better place.
