Donald Trump running for president

But what am I to do if I agree with certain people? Hitler values getting up in the morning, eating breakfast and going to bed at night. Do you or do you not espouse the values of a certain satanic dictator?

I don't think those are the core tenants of Naziism whereas reducing gov power and intervention is the core tenant of libertarianism.

I think you've bought into leftover red scare propaganda. If Gubmint always bad, we should just have anarchy? Whenever Gov pulls out the richest people just take over and exploit the less fortunate.

Basically, there's always going to be a government. Do you want to be governed by rich guys or elected officials?

For one thing, Ive said a trillion times I am not an anarchist, and we will make that a trillion and one.

Look at it like this, your trying to label me with something. Larry Sharpe and the Coke Brothers are both labeled as "Libertarian." The prior I love, the latter I would love to **** and urinate all over their faces.

So how does your labeling work?

I think Larry Sharpes ideology is what allows the Koch brothers to exist.

Jeeze, I had enough, have a great weekend.

And pardon me for the ^^^ I gotta get to the gym and back then catch up with some work before going to Jersey to take the wife to go eat, watch a movie or 2 (we are AMC Stubs A-list members!) and go to the asian grocery store. Just not the time for to dig myself into a blackhole, lol

Fair enough. I'm home with a sick kid and bored AF.

Into sports? Today is the opening day of the XFL, I’ll miss it but my NY team plays tomorrow.

I had no idea they were trying this experiment again until I saw people posting about it today. I wish them luck, but doesn't seem like it ever catches on.

They are staying away from the over the top route this time and trying to be professional. No big boobies and panties. Bunch of rule changes to have more action and better gameplay, we will see how it turns out. I cant believe the other league AAF that broke ground last year went broke before they finished the season. They had contracts with CBS, NFL network and a deal to let players go to NFL and all, looked like the XFL was to be doomed with competition and XFL is now here today.

democratic populism, IMO.
Which version? The Trump version where the elites convince masses of people that they're not elites or the occupy/99% version where a bunch of people don't contribute anything at all to society, but want society to take care of them?

Libertarians have a lot of good ideas, but these are such vague concepts now. To draw a line in the sand and say libertarianism is good or bad, is extremely shortsighted.

I think Libertarianism has some value in markets when it comes to luxury goods especially.

So Trump's version would authoritarian populism and the OWS version is closer to socialism, at least as you're characterizing it.

What I'd like to see is a government dedicated to serving all of its citizens and more direct democracy now that we have the technology to support it... Iowa notwithstanding.

Thank you for clarifying! Now this isn't a trick question, just probably me not understanding your full view, but does true democracy really serve all of its citizens? Definitely it shouldn't randomly choose to attack certain groups based on the personal beliefs of the politicians, but isn't it true that there will always be groups in the minority who are not being served? For example, if the majority votes to go in one direction, there is almost always going to be a group who wants to go in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, there will always be contrarian who enjoy being on the other side no matter what.

I agree with you on the technology part, but the caucus system in my opinion needs to die. There is absolutely no reason that we can't have an electronic version that is safeguarded and checked without putting money into the pockets of private companies that have their own political leanings. There could be one system for federal (state elections can do whatever the hell they want) and it could give you a specific ID number when you vote that is random and unique to you (not tied to any other parts of your personal information), so you could then go and check yourself what that number shows as your vote. That way on top of any other QC checks, individuals could know for sure that their vote was not manipulated.

Depending on what it is, a simple majority may not be enough. Beyond that, everyone has to accept that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I'm also in favor of giving more authority to cities and states so people can vote for what works for their lifestyles. For instance NYC may need different gun laws than upstate does.

True. Rules for a country were easier to write when most of the country wasn't inhabited.

But thats how they were written in the first place here. State powers and powers of localities, limited Federal Government. Nothing new needs to be created but rather restored.

They're written, but now it all depends on who has the power in the Supreme Court where they're going to get "interpreted." States rights vs federal is always going to be an issue, and probably will get worse in the future.

So the DNC announces that Buttngag gets majority of the Iowa delegates at 14 and the communist gets 12...as of now as long as recounts happen. Pokihontis 8, Bitten 6, Klobberinsuckitash 1 and Yang gets none.

That really is an unfortunate last name lol. Let's hope they figure out basic math by the next one.

Doomberg just made 3rd place in a national poll and even surpassed Pokihontis.

Tulsi Gabbard has rumors floating around that she may be going for a 3rd party run. She isnt my cup of tea, too big government for me but her name isnt crossed off my short list yet.

Dump supporters should dump Dump and jump on Bill Weld for the Repulsivkins ticket.

I'd give her a chance. As far as Democrats who are running go, I'd put her at the top for my own interests. Bill Weld actually seems pretty open-minded, so I'd consider him as well. Of course, either one could just be like the rest, but there are worse choices.

That pendulum is eventually going to swing the other way if this becomes precedent

Rare occasion Im not complaining about our little spoiled King.

Dumb DNC just lost one of their two best in Yang who probably had the best chance for the Demicans to take on Dump for the election.

They could have really propped him up with good marketing and had a strong experienced VP to back him up and they could have done Dump some damage, but apparently the swamp wants nothing to do with him.

They've given him the shaft since the very start. It's almost like they've already made up their minds before citizens can vote!

He isnt as Nazi'ish as the others. Plus I was relying on that extra 1k a month to do some fun stuff.
So "not as Nazish" is a good candidate to compete against Trump? Lol

You guys make me laugh

So in your perfect country, who would be your president?

My top guy in the planet right now is Larry Sharpe, but he isnt running for Prez this year. He was second for Gary Johnson's as VP mate in 2016 prez race. I voted him for Governor of NY last year, he is the first Libertarian to get enough votes to make mandatory ballot access in the next governor election...and then the legislature changed the requirements because he became a threat!!!!!!

He is not the Libertarian of old, he is next generation check it out below.

We want to spend a lot of money, put a lot of cops in the street, put those cops where the crime is, which is in the minority neighborhoods. So this is — one of the unintended consequences is, people say, “Oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.” Yes, that’s true. Why? Because we put all the cops in the minority neighborhoods. Yes, that’s true. Why do we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is.
And the first thing you can do for people is to stop them getting killed. Now we did a calculation of how many people who would have been dead if we hadn’t brought down the murder rate and gotten guns off the streets. And the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw 'em against the wall and frisk 'em. And then they start — they say, “I don’t want to get caught,” so they don’t bring the gun. They still have a gun, but they leave it at home.

Ok so Dump pardon's Blago after being locked up for 8 years who tried to sell the Senate seat of another ruthless evil politician who illegally invades and destroys other countries murdering countless people and Muslim babies and is considered by many a liberator and hero.....well that dont bother me as much. The rest, wut??

Trump also announced pardons for Invalid Link Removed, convicted of tax fraud and lying to officials; Invalid Link Removed, an investment banker known as the "Junk Bond King" who was convicted of felony charges that included securities fraud and conspiracy; and Invalid Link Removed, the former owner of the San Francisco 49ers who pleaded guilty in 1998 to failing to report a felony in a bribery case.
