Next PES Insider Deal???

picked up 2... though im a HUGE bday cake fan, i was done wrong by strawberry cheesecake so im hesitant this time to go bigger... Hoping this gets back on par with some of the OG flavors

Very interesting new flavor that dropped today. Bday cake flavoring is usually pretty damn good and I'm sure we can nail this flavor.

On a side note has anyone tried the bday cake Oreos or whatever they are called? Those were on point and is what came to mind when I saw this flavor release. :)

According to your team all bday cake proteins are awful ha

Uhhh no they aren’t... at least not the regular cookie onesInvalid Link Removed

Golden Birthday cake (Golden Shell) and yellow package
the one you have pictured above is the OG Chocolate Bday Cake with the Chocolate Oreo Shell in the blue package.

The Oreo cookies being the difference. The golden ones were taken off shelves in 2017
Cake Pop has a Vanilla/Yellow Cake + Vanilla Frosting/Icing, which was my correlation to the Golden oreo flavor.

well he asked about "birthday cake" not "yellow cookie" specifically so they are still available since the creme is the only bday cake part, regardless of cookie

My apologies for the confusion all I was asking was if people had tried the ones boone pictured. Not sure if I worded it correctly and I wasn't trying to imply our new flavor was a direct comparison as mentioned was just a side note. I've been loving those Oreos. Lol

The reason I asked was because the golden shell birthday cake have the closest resemblance to the protein flavor. Since there is no chocolate included in Amazing Cake Pop (hence difference in blue and yellow pack).

For sure I think I understand what you were implying. No worries at all. I just wanted to be sure I was getting across that it was just a complete random thought of mine and not a comparison. Lol

Just love my cheat treats and those Oreos are bomb! I completely understand what you were implying. :)

My two tubs arrived already! I’ll try it later tonight and let everyone know...

Good review Bob. Actually glad it isn't overly sweet like you stated in the review. I'm also a big gourmet vanilla fan as well so if this is along those lines I'm pretty stoked to hear that. Thanks for dropping this here for us. :)

Well, I have to say I’m not as disappointed as I had feared, but it certainly doesn’t taste like Cake, batter, or anything like that.

It’s a good vanilla, I would say a touch more sweet than regular vanilla, maybe almost like a sweet cream vs vanilla.

Not even a single shred of anything yellow cake esque to this flavor though.

It’s a decent flavor in general, but not even remotely unique in any aspect. Nothing I would ever buy again though with all the more fun/exotic flavors out there.

I guess it’s another Strawberry Cheesecake case where they claim there’s cheesecake flavor but I still can’t taste it till this day.

Interesting review. Lol

From the start I was like oh ok cool not disappointed but by the end I was like wow way to try to let the date off light but then go for the jugular.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts bro. Noted!

I actually just slammed down a strawberry cheesecake shake and enjoyed every drop of it right after my late night lift. Do miss the strawberry bits but it is still delicious. :)

Tried the Cake Pop yesterday. Definitely not much cake flavor in there but it's slightly there. I agree with everyone else, its a good vanilla type flavor.

Wish you guys would bring blondie back! Any eta on cake pop samples?
If a flavor did not sell well compared to the vast amount of flavors they provide it does not make sense from a business standpoint to keep it on their line. I loved blondie as well, but it simply just wasn't a flavor the masses preferred.

Same for Ergonine... A lot of people did not invest in it and the company gave it the axe. I absolutely love the clincial doses it provides, but for the majority of gym goers they don't care for it.

I understand that, but perhaps the naming was part of the issue. I wasn’t seeing bad reviews on it, it just seemed people weren’t buying it at all. Something along the lines of “brown sugar vanilla delight” or something might be easier to market

It’s not that it’s a bad flavor, it’s just not what it’s supposed to be and not special. A good vanilla is exactly that... vanilla ha.

Very interesting here. Cortisol support and mood enhancers are always intriguing products to me. I actually had no idea this was in the works so I'm glad you posted this here. :)

This was actually my least favorite of all the flavors we have had in our arsenal. I know quite a few people that wish it was still around though.

Agree with the above, it’s a good vanilla variant. I won’t buy again, there are much better Select flavors to choose from.

That said, still much better than the strawberry cheesecake flavor.

Finally got a chance to try cake pop and here are my thoughts.
in water- strong vanilla with a hint of frosting
smoothie with mixed fruit- oddly enough, I got a small cake aftertaste when mixed with fruit, which was totally different that drinking it solo with water.

will try with oats this weekend as that is normally how I use PES protein.

I am getting mine today. I have not disliked a select flavor yet. I will probably try 2 servings today. One with milk. One with water. I will give my opinion later.

I wish I could still use whey protien because the cake pop sounds delicious! Whey just doesn't digest well for me, although Select is one of the more agreeable proteins I've had. However, the Vegan Select is a daily staple of mine.

I usually try a mix with Greek yogurt too. Mutants isolates vary a lot. Birthday cake not so good in water but great in yogurt, chocolate cheesecake works extremely well in water but loses its taste in yogurt. Banana great in both. Apologies for talking about another brand, I haven't personally tried pes.

According to consumer reports, vegan protein powders have higher levels of heavy metals and impurities.

Don’t trust paid advertising. Consumer reports is not reputable whatsoever
"the Clean Label Project assigned each product a score for four individual elements: heavy metals, pesticides, contaminants like BPA, and nutrition. Then it calculated an overall score. The heavy metal levels accounted for 60 percent of the overall score because their effects have been shown in studies to pose greater harm to health.

The five products that received the poorest overall scores in this test were:

Garden of Life Organic Shake & Meal Replacement Chocolate Cacao Raw Organic Meal
Nature’s Best Isopure Creamy Vanilla Zero Carb
Quest Chocolate Milkshake Protein Powder
360Cut Performance Supplements 360PRO Whey Chocolate Silk Premium Whey Protein
Vega Sport Plant-Based Vanilla Performance Protein
Consumer Reports asked each of the five to comment on the study. Only Garden of Life responded and it declined to comment.

The five products that got the best overall scores were:

Pure Protein Vanilla Cream 100% Whey
Performix Pro Whey Sabor Vanilla Protein with Amino Beads
BodyFortress Super Advanced Vanilla 100% Whey Protein
BioChem Vanilla 100% Whey Protein
Puori PW1 Vanilla Pure Whey Protein
The fact that the higher-scoring products are made with whey makes sense, in keeping with Callan’s theories on plant-based vs. whey-based proteins and their differing absorption of toxins.

I just tried my first serving of Cake Pop protein. I can definitely taste a yellow cake flavor with a strong vanilla. I enjoyed it and I will have no problems finishing the four tubs that I got. I mixed it with whole milk. I would rank it in my top five PES flavors. I still prefer peanut butter cookie and snickerdoodle, but this is up there with Vanilla and white chocolate mint.

ok finally arrived here my quick review:

1. with water tastes like vanilla with more sugar, I must say still a good vanilla taste :)
2. with cashew milk (70ml) it's creamy and think and tastes a bit more like cake, just an after taste tho

strange thing is that the smell is like cake! lol
I like it after all but I was expecting "more" from it :)

if this won't be a special edition flavor I will buy it again

It doesn't say "Limited Edition" on the tub, this is here to stay (stated that in my video too)

mentioned this cause the shop where I got them here in the UK told me this will be a limited edition flavour, obviously they are wrong then, thanks Bob
