I’ve been experimenting with the few different brand capsules I have (and 1 gummy), and even though the caps are all suspended in oil, I’ve gotten the strongest effects from taking it with a meal. I’m having to order a tincture because even the 10mg capsules are too strong for daytime functioning.

25mg gummies are what I take before I play basketball...mellows me out but puts me in a zone

Doesnt really put me to sleep though...at least nothing noticeable to where I just pass out...I wish though..I could use some quality sleep
I hear you bro. It’s really strange to me because I’m 240 lbs, so figured I would need close to 100mg to do what I needed. I tried a gummy in the afternoon while me and my girl were going out. I was at a restaurant nodding off lol. Next time I took some in the am, while reading some articles and drinking my coffee, had to take a nap. The other night I took two and I was relaxed and asleep within an hour... maybe it was just that batch, but it was a 9$ bag from the corner store with five gummies in it... still doesn’t make sense to me

Hard to say

I had chocolate from Colorado that was perfect for me...I'd eat a piece and totally feel relaxed

Then I tries vape which I still have and it seems pretty worthless

The gummies I have do the trick as far as mellowing you out but they dont seem to put me to sleep...kind of in the zone and stress free

The plain Jane got rid of any anxiety and made sleeping easy but while I was awake I didnt necessary feel relaxed

One thing I will say is none of them seemed to really do much in terms of pain reduction from a badly sprained ankle or what I think was a pinched nerve in my leg

I know I'm all over the place but the industry being new...I guess we all just have to test quality and the dosage that works best for us all...not to mention the type of benefit you want from the cbd
I didn't notice any pain relief either and I've smoked 3 of the pre rolls now.

I’ve been using hemp derived CBD for a while now for pain management (bulging disk at C6/C7). I use 1000mg strength and about 40 mg under my tongue really helps. My orthopedic surgeon was really encouraged by my results. It’s not a cure-all and I don’t believe all of the crazy claims people make about what it can “cure” but until my state gets its head out of its a** and legalizes, it’s the best I’ve got.

I’ve been experimenting with Lazarus Naturals and Axis Labs full spectrum CBD oils and caps, and it’s all too strong and doesn’t feel pleasant. Even 3mg of Lazarus is too strong but feels different than my Lazarus 10mg caps. It makes me way too relaxed and hurts my short term memory and motivation. And not relaxed in a way that is enjoyable; apathetic is more appropriate. It also tastes just like dirt weed which is really weird and brings bad memories. I’ve ordered Elixinol in hopes that the lower thc content brings better results.

What is a good strain of CBD flower for sleep? I just picked up some Suver Haze, but havent tried yet.

I read some of the CBD flower strains actually give you energy, which I'm trying to avoid right now...

The last few months ive been using full spectrum cbd pre bed & prn for chronic pain, not a perfect fit but takes the edge off. I also used a topical for athletes foot, and it cured it w/in days. Very impressed w/ those results

Well, 10mg of Elixinol is too much as well, but at least better than Lazarus Naturals tincture. Something just doesn’t feel right with theirs which is a shame because their prices are amazing with my veteran discount. I’ll try 5mg of Elixinol next time...

Its going to sound odd but maybe look at the coconut oil version or ask if the pet version is ok. Pet versions are made lower dose and less potent but I think they are able to be used by people. Another option would be an isolate ticture which has less cannboids.

Does cannabidoil (CBD Oil) help alcohol dependency?
Not sure. I know BPC157 may help with that. As it can repair the GABA, dopamine, seratonin systems in your brain.

There were several good 4/20 sales for hemp flower, a lot of them sold out very quickly though. I ended up with an 1/4 for $20. The Plain Jane pre rolls did give me a noticeable effect, but I heard that buying actual flowers is even better so I wanted to give it a try.

I've tried several brands of CBD and haven't noticed much as far as pain relief. To me, a lower THC Indica strain is much more efficient but I understand why a lot of people don't go down that route. But here in Massachusetts it's legal now.

Well, after several experiments, I’ve figured out that if I’m taking ashwagandha or holy basil the same day as cbd, the cbd floors me. I’m guessing it’s knocking my cortisol too low, but that’s a guess. I’ve had several blood tests and saliva tests showing a low-normal cortisol rhythm. But, I’d much prefer using cbd over the others due to their side effects on me, so I’m back to cbd. I’m up to 25mg at a time but plan on going higher to see what dose will knock me out when I wake up wide eyed at 2am.

Edit: I realize how that sounds, like the combo should knock me back out but it doesn’t.

Is there any cancer risk with smoking or vaping?

From smoking hemp it appears alot lower than tobacco probably due to the anticancer effects of CBD/THC. Vaping is likely even safer. Oral of course safest.

If looking a thc there are mints and other forms. Vaping there are only a few companies to go with in my eyes.

Update here: Decided to just go big a few nights in a row now, and hitting around 100mg of cbd throughout the night. Typically 50mg prebed and 50mg in the middle of the night. And it’s working! I’ve had 3 days of 7-9 hours sleep. Only side effects are ridiculous dry mouth and dizziness for a few hours after waking. I’m going to drop the dose in the middle of the night to see if I can mitigate that dizziness. But a successful experiment nonetheless.

How long does it take to work for you? I heard it's 2 hours min before it kicks in.

If I use it sublingual, it kicks in faster. I put my dose under my tongue for about 5-10 minutes before swallowing.

I’ve tried about 6-7 brands now, and Endoca Raw tincture has been the best. Sleep is definitely improved. I’m also using Lazarus Naturals high potency tincture in an effort to save money, hoping that a little of each works as well as Endoca solo because $120 per month is pretty steep. Good sleep is worth it though...

I’m using 75mg Lazarus Naturals at 7pm, then 25mg Endoca about 9pm, bed by 9:30-10pm, then another 25mg Endoca whenever I wake up in the middle of the night.

I’ll be testing CBDistillery next.

Hey guys,

I'm a long-time lurker on this forum, for a long time I've been looking for a natural solution for pain. Of course, I also got taken with the CBD-hype, and while I got decent results, my results were inconsistent.

I started to do more research and read scientific papers about CBD, and what I've found is that for CBD to help with the more severe conditions like chronic pain, you need to take much larger amounts than what's advised by the CBD producers.

Now, the problem is that when taking such large amounts of CBD, you're going to spend a lot of money on CBD. This doesn't mean that it's not worth it, but it's going to potentially cost you a lot.

A good article explaining CBD dosages I found here:

https://www.herbonaut.com/how-to-use-cbd-oil/

It's an interesting read for anyone using CBD oil.

Buying cbd from anywhere but a dispensary in a LEGAL state such as Colorado where I live is a huge risk!! Everything here really is tested for contaminates and purity. It’s the state law.
So many shady companies out there!

I thinks too expensive for me to use at a high dose, and I dont notice a whole lot with the low dose.

I guess I'll have to wait for it to be covered by my medical insurance haha

Flonase used to be prescription and insurance paid for it....insurance companies lobbied for it to be otc and now they don't have to pay...citing this example I wouldn't look for cbd oil to be covered anytime soon....ok, I have a question-is medical pot covered by insurance?

That’s not what said. The testing is regulated through the state. It’s not some lab report anyone can doctor up.

I am liking the CBD flower, it is taking me a few weeks to smoke it all though so I'm not sure at what point it will go bad? The flower is nothing life changing for me, but it is noticeable over the CBD oil.

I kind of want to get a dry herb vape as I really don't like smoking all that much, but am still enjoying it afterwards. I'm not sure if it's worth the $100 if I end up not really enjoying all that much to continue to purchase it regularly.

yes the flower is immediate acting, oil takes a couple hours . I dont like the smoke taste that much either. That said, its not a bad thing , I dont think 7 inhale and exhales will do much to the lungs. also I dont use it all the time, ive skipped a couple days. I like the health benefits and especially the study on cbd and sleep

Because the state is flawless and impossible to ever make a mistake...

You don't need to buy cbd in a recreational state to avoid bad quality. Just use your head and do some research into who you're buying it from. Period.
