BOSSMAN'S First supplement log on AM

Let’s break this down for a second
Colored cereals - things like fruity pebbles and stuff are way different that other cereals like corn flakes. But even having colored cereals once and a while will not effect your body
Any ham - let’s choose boars head since it’s America’s #1 brand - All of these offerings are surprisingly lean: their Virginia ham contains only 1 gram of fat and 60 calories in a 2-ounce serving; Ovengold turkey has the same amount; and their London broil top round roast beef contains only 3 grams of fat and 70 calories in a 2-ounce serving. Plus the ingredients are salt (they have low sodium options) , smoke and the meat.
Sausages - what’s wrong with meat put into a grinder with seasonings - that’s all hot dogs and sausages are - inb4 cuts of meat lol just lol like any cut is better than other, I eat every part of the animal
Canned food - beans, vegetables are all canned food and ingredients are the item, salt and water
Commercial burgers - bubba burgers are the most known in America - ingredients - 100% USDA choice chuck beef with no added sodium
Never made with MSG, soy, nitrates or nitrites
Bread - I understand people hate white bread but most whole grain breads like Dave’s killer bread sold everywhere is made with whole wheat and nuts
Dried potatoes - I don’t know anyone who eats those lol

Well, you can always find exceptions. When I say: "Don't drink mouthwash." You may find one particular brand that can be consumed.
Preferring "real food" to "processed food" shouldn't even be a subject of discussion.
Don't make me look up product labels -and/or find the hidden chemicals, not mentioned on said labels. The info is there -BUT you don't find it with a google search on site one, guess why?
To answer that, please watch the award winning documentary called: "Food Inc" .

Edit: I just looked up canned food, that you are defending, note that I did not look up hot dogs yet or cereals
Here what popped up: Bisphenol

The inner plastic lining is poisonous at small measures, although FDA tells us that the small amounts should not worry us too much. Well this plastic coating is Bisphenol or BPA for short and it is harmful, first because humans are not suppose to eat plastic material made from crude oil and second because FDA should be honest and tell people the truth rather than serve the interests of big corporations that give it large sums of money through back channel donations and hidden funds through partner organizations.

I'm guessing your reply: "But who eats every day canned food, eating it now-and then is not harmful."
That would be true for any stuff detrimental to your health. But why even eat it if its detrimental?

Bpa is still a thing? It’s pretty much banned in the US with anything a kid uses. And almost every product I see in New York states it’s bpa free.
Plus food documentary’s always have a agenda and are very biased.

You are right!
Here what I found from 2018:
At least 90% of today’s food cans have replaced linings that previously contained the controversial chemical bisphenol-A (BPA), according to the Can Manufacturers Institute. This is in reaction to market demands for more options in food safety.

Cool. So you have poisoned yourself only until recently...

LMAO!

Well, not all documentaries are biased. As not all cereals are sugar coated (Your words, remember?).
Thank's to biased food documentaries, your cans are now BPA free.
Hey, I'm not the bad uncle trying to take away your chemical laden favorite foods.

I see a heater !!!

I guess you train in the dog house............ Nice Name For A Gym !!

Love your food prep !!

It really helps during the week for my post workout and lunch. Thanks

Probably saves you a ton of time if you just meal prep on sunday and not have to worry for a few days during the week.

When you meal prep do you freeze the cooked food or keep in the fridge?
I usually just make extra at night time and make leftovers for the next day.

I just keep it in the fridge. The veggies I cook daily. A serving for dinner, and a serving or 2 for the next day as they don't keep as long. All that meat will be gone bye Thursday usually. So you figure sunday evening to lunch on Thursday. Ain't to bad

CP FUEL BAJA BLAST Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

Got home yesterday to walk up on a package containing 2 samples of BAJA BLAST.* Thanks to The Solution* . This pwo doesn't even come out/launch until 2/11/19.
Put it to the test this morning at 3am. Mixed with 10oz h2o. First thing I noticed before shaking was some beautiful colored crystals floating on the top. Caught my eye. After a few good shakes, mix was perfect.** Took my first hit, and man was I suprised.* This stuff had a carbonated effect to it. It was amazing. The taste was great!!!
After 13 minutes of ground rolling I could feel the BA kicking in with some small tingles. Once I got into my workout I noticed the tunnel vision kicking in. I was blowing through weight and sets.* I got through my workout this morning in 52 minutes and was wishing I had more time.
Overall this was a great pwo, I didn't get all wacked out. It is now 2 1/2 hours later and I still feel awesome. Just a nice smooth refreshing ready for whatever feeling.* Haven't even got to the coffee yet.* This will definitely be in my rotation in the future.

I am surprised you could feel tingles at that low of a dose of BA ???

I need to take a break from it so my tolerance to it will go down and I will feel the tingles ha

At first I thought it was gonna be a challenge coming down from stims. I was on heavy stims from pwo to fat burners to coffee all day long. After a week or 2 of adjustments I actually feel better and healthy. Not saying I don't miss the rush every once and awhile, and that I won't use them again. But for know, I'm good. This adjustment was made back in early November.

Define processed ? Most things you buy are processed- white and brown rice, eggs, all meat is processed to a point and some injected with flavors.
And what’s wrong with burgers - if I said I had 6oz of beef, a salad, a slice of cheese and 2 slices of bread for dinner it would be called “clean”
Had to laugh at "a salad"... would also depend on who you asked if it was clean. Many consider chuck way to high in fat to be clean. I am not one of them, but there are plenty that would. Funny isn't it that we have clean and dirty foods. Seems the designation should have more to do with the 5 second rule, than food choices.

Well, you can always find exceptions. When I say: "Don't drink mouthwash." You may find one particular brand that can be consumed.

That would be true for any stuff detrimental to your health. But why even eat it if its detrimental?
I have to laugh at this one too. We including you do so many things that are detrimental for our health in the pursuit of a physique. We all just choose where to take our risks. Some with food, some with gear, some with risky behavior. It's kind of like this guy I know who doesn't wear a seat belt, but refuses to cross the street against the light because it is dangerous.

As long as we are moderating somewhere to try and control some of the damage we are probably doing alright.

Yes sir....wife brought it home for the DOGS in the garage the last few weeks....ain't that something
Well at least you know where you stand.
I need to take a break from it so my tolerance to it will go down and I will feel the tingles ha
The tingles are actually a reaction from your body not being that efficient at processing it. As you begin to process it better that side effect goes away or lessens. It actually means you are making use of it more efficiently.

Add a touch of cinnamon on the sweet potato (don't know if you tried it) but adds a nice touch. I also smear peanut butter // almond butter on my sweet taters. Give it a shot if you don't use a very fatty cut of meat for your macros. You may enjoy it.

Hell i ever will melt Reese peanut butter cups in my sweet potatoes :)

That Reeses looks banging, I splashed a pinch of brown sugar on mine tonight. If the wife bakes them she throws marshmallows on top.

Gotta be careful with these samples sometimes fellas, this one in particular was a 2 serving pouch. I split it in half, but if I didn't read the fine print I would have hit a double dose. My man MrKleen73 brought that to my attention last year.

Those pics were taken a year or two ago, Yes I did it myself, my family keeps asking when I am just going to build a wall around the whole house.

The areas look a little better with a few plants !!

Dang Rocket3015, that is very impressive!

My house is a mess right now... they are digging a trench in the back yard to put a drainage ditch to the bayou for my gutters then I need to figure out what I am going to do back there. Not much grass. Thinking I might lay down some sod but not even sure that area will support the growth with the big Ash tree that shades that section of the yard.
BOSSMAN - Any recommendations for type of grass to use for a heavily shaded high traffic area? I have dogs which are outside during the day when weather permits. Also when would be the best time to put out the sod if I go that way? I assume sometime in March? I am in Houston Tx by the way so will be getting warm already in March.

Sounds like as soon as they get done in your back yard. If you go the sod route, I always put down a thin layer of compost or topsoil. I know the sod comes with a good topsoil base, but that's just what I do. It also helps with getting your ground level, which helps the sod also. You want it tight and level. Water everyday for the first 2 weeks, in the morning. Stay off of it with a mower as long as you can, just trim the tops with a weedeater before it gets to long and starts bending over. Then you will have a mess. Grass route, I always use scotts. They have coated seed, water smart. It does come in a shade mix. The root base of your big tree will be a challenge with new grass. Them roots will take all your water. Another good thing about scotts, as a homeowner you can register on their website, your region and they will email you and tell you exactly what and when to put on your yard. Now keep in mind, my experience is all here on the east coast so there are definitely so different variables between MD and TX. Always read your labels on your grass seed, make sure you are getting 99%+ of seed. You would be suprised some of the brands you get 60% seed 40% filler.....you know, like the supplement game!! MrKleen73

Always remember, starter fertilizer and pellitized lime for new grass. Also, it doesn't happen overnight. Takes 2 good seasons with proper care for nice, thick, weed free lawn.
Don't be afraid of sod, it's instant and not really that expensive.
Nice workout too! !!

If you just want something, you could use a contractor/landscaper mix seed. Along with lime, starter fertilizer, and straw. This will grown, but it will bring weeds (nothing crazy). Once it's developed with a few treatments for the weeds, you will be good. Then in the fall you go with your high end seed.

Thanks Kevin!!! Lots of good info here. I will PM you with a couple other questions so I don't muddy up your log with all the landscape convo.

Find a sod store in Houston. There are some hybrid Zoysia's that do well in your extreme heat and shade. Tough combination to grow grass! If your dogs run a certain path this will be hard to keep grass in those areas.

Good info here Studhorse keep in mind with that zoysia it will spread and grow and spread and grow. I've seen that stuff grown under asphalt driveways and come up I the neighbors yard. It is tough as nails. First to go brown, amd last to get green. Again, it will spread into your neighbors yard no matter what you do. You can't stop it.

So what you are saying is plant it then wait a year and go accuse the neihbors of infesting my lawn with it...

AMEN! Actually one of my neighbors for sure would never notice, and probably not the other either. Going to go have a look at it now thanks Studhorse!
