Big night last night, man oh man how time flys. Seems like just yesterday I was 6 days a week scrambling around every night trying to get to practice. Last night was senior night for my oldest son, this kid has been playing since he was 5. I coached him til he got into high school. Invalid Link Removed

My son gave me a card last night at halftime and asked me to not read it til later. So I did, f**kd me up. I will elaborate more layer when I get a few minutes. Time flys

That's awesome man, they beat the school I graduated from last night. We went to states last year and lost in double ot. Instead of kicking a pat, we went for 2 for the win and got stopped.
Man this kid was balling hard last night, he has gotten SMAC special teams player of the week 4 weeks straight. Starting fb (one of the smallest on the field) and Mlb. Never comes off the field unless he taps himself out. He hit a kid last night and fractured the other kids forearm, it was a clean hit but he rocked that kid. Very unfortunate for that kid and his family, football injuries really throw a wrench in your day to day routine. Trust me, my son snapped his collarbone his sophomore year on a punt return. The next kickoff the other team put their stud in the injured kids spot. He was definitely there to target my son, well unfortunately for him also he got laid out too. Stood up, then fell. Full concussion. Lil man was laying wood last night.
 
Football and injuries go together. When I was coaching it was always the smaller guy's on my team that would lay the lumber for some reason.
I had a lineman that was 6'1" 300 lbs. could do a standing back flip and had the heart of a snell. seems like the small guys have all the heart as well.

This is my youngest son, he just turned 14 on the 26th. He plays bball year round. This was last night, his first boxing lesson. While I'm lifting, he will be training. 3 nights a week for now. I asked him last night on the way home, did you like it? You wanna stick with it? His reply "DEFINITELY ".

Even now, I rarely lift weight to failure below 4 reps. At age 61, I can’t afford any nagging injuries if I want to progress. That’s why my motto is “Safe Strength.” .

Yesterday's work, with grass season coming to and end. Here in out is 100% labor. Leaves, trees, installs, tear outs etc..
Yesterday was leaves in first job. 4 hours with a 40lb blower on my back and raking.
2nd job was trees/shrub maetinance. 18 ft pole saw and 12 foot hedge trimmers. Shoulders and legs are sore as hell today.
Wife switched over to flannel sheets for the fall, man I slept like a baby. If you havent tried them, I would suggest you do at least once. Off day this morning, will see what the day brings today. Woke up this morning to my work truck wouldn't start so I know I have that to deal with. Might have time to get in a sparring session.

I couldn't be happier

No training last night, 7 hours of uniterrupted sleep. Feeling lean and full this morning <<<is that possible? No training today, got 1st found of high school playoffs tonight at home and youth day for younger son tomorrow (deer) . I have a youth hunt club with almost 100 kids this year, started with only 8 kids 9 years ago. US adults take kids 16 and under on guided hunts on our property or local farmers give us permission to use their property. Last year we had wild game innovations their as our sponsor.
