What supps for memory and longevity

Hello guys, I am looking to make a purchase for some supplements for focus on improving memory, like recalling information and just helping to remember things. And also just general health supps to improve mood and longevity

I am prone to anxiety and lots of cancer history in my family so my wife and I are wanting to start doing what we can to improve our health. I also have been having short lapses in memory lately

We are both healthy and go to the gym regularly. I used to go muchmore often and was fairly into bodybuilding few years ago. Now I lift 3-4x weekly and she runs same. Currrently I only take Creatine mono.

What are some things you recommend? I am thinking -
Agmatine - for pre workout pump and seen some saying memory improvements
Fish oil - I don't like fish so have not gotten any for quite some time now, thinking the controlled labs brand. Have also seen some say it increased depression though??

These really are the only ones I can think of right now, I eat enough variety of foods so think a multi vitamin is not needed. I am not a big stimulant fan because of anxiety but I do drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day and may be open to some if they improve memory on days I need them for speeches and things like that. I have tried KSM 66 with no benefits noticed

I have tried several other supplements (and unnatural products) within the past few years, just can't think of them all currently and it woul be a lot to list.
I also was looking into possibly a good natural supplement to aid in gaining mass, not too inclined to take anything because natural supps never did much for me aside from ARA.

The new Sns focus xt is meant for exactly this. The longer you use it the better it can help too. Really great stuff and priced well below most other focus and memory type noots and such

Agmatine and fish oil are great staples for general health, but not very specific for what you're looking for. I would recommend checking out NootropiMax if you are looking to a product to improve memory, focus, and cognitive function.

Focus XT is designed for this very purpose. Using combinations of ALCAR, Choline and Huperzine for stronger memory formations and faster recall.

It also has added Lutein which has human data showing improvements in cognition and eye health.

It is also lightly stimulated for when you need to be alert without being jittered out of your mind.

It is also worth noting that training memory is key as well. One of the things that has helped me most is actually being conscious of decisions i make. For instance, if you habitually forget where you put your keys or wallet, try actually thinking of what you are doing before you aimlessly set them down somewhere.

You're not a stimulant fan yet you're consuming stims...cut it out and see if that helps.

Tim, how old are you and how's your sleep?

Anyone can throw recommendations and no disrespect to any of the posters but this thread can easily become a throw something on the wall and see if it sticks *works* scenario.

I will look into the Focus xt, I think I may have tried it a few years ago but don't remember the results.

My forgetfulness lately is more of words and just tasks needing to be done. Nothing crazy but a few memory lapses here and there. I have been keeping lists of everything I need to do lately.

I get what you are saying, I tend to feel worse without the coffee than with, obviously because of the caffeine withdrawals. But, I don't get too much anxiety from caffeine alone. It is moreso when I take a daily pre workout with other types of stimulants.

I am 30 years old and I fall asleep fine and sleep through the night. I do wake up groggy, I feel like I could sleep for 12 hours and sometimes do on the weekends haha. I don't ever have the motivation until an hour or so after waking up but I have never been much of a morning person

Focus XT has been modernized and upgraded since the last iteration, keeping the same kind of core function in mind, but upgrading the formula to do it better.

Alot of focus products have the right concept, but fail to deliver on ingredient dosages, on product focus (i.e. do the ingredients work together or is it made more with just any ingredient that looks good) or both.

If you like the look of other products, post them in here and we can give you feedback

You could try getting some bulk theanine to take with your first cup of coffee each day. The two are synergistic and take together they’ll make you more focused and at the end of the day you won’t be as tired. Additionally, the theanine will also help with your anxiety

Focus xt is definitely a good one. I remember in college a few of my friends took it before midterm cause they were up all night studying haha

taurine is found heavily in the japanese diet, why many there live to 100 or more.
I dont think you can realistically apply one single component to their diet/ lifestyle as to why they live so long lol

I have not looked into too many other products yet. I was more looking at individual ingredients before. Sam E was one I was looking into for memory and possibly mood benefits, but it seems a little pricey. Noopept is one I know I have tried but gives me a weird feeling for some reason.

When's the last time (if ever) you've had your D levels tested?

Also B12.

B12 was about a year ago and was good. I am not sure if Vitamin D has been tested before. Test levels were in the 700s a year ago.

@OP do you have ADD or ADHD?
I have ADD and it contributes to the short lapses in memory that I have from time to time. Anxiety’s also known to contribute towards such lapses

Choline in general is good for the brain, if you eat a lot of meat and eggs, you are probably good. Choline citrate does not cross the brain blood barrier. Alpha-gpc does cross it, and looks promising. It has some studies on elderly people showing improvement in memory. Does that correlate to helping youngand middle aged people? more studies are needed.
