I must have missed it what did he do to Mayweather? I literally have no idea but I'm pretty sure he didn't put hands on him

Haha. Well that settles it 50 has the streets!!
T.I. actually smacked mayweather. And T.I
Is a joke.
I'm not sure what your post proves?
We just have different opinions.
There are rappers in K.C. Oakland Sacramento who will actually blow someone brains out. There not going to get invited on the View either.
Im not dogging out 50. It sounds like I am but I'm not, I like 50.
But he's not smashing on dudes like your implying and nobody gives a fck if he did a video with 69.

Ok bro you won... Mozzy so gangsta lol

50 is another type of guy...

He doesn't like jepordizing himself because he will lose everything, but two years ago when was headlining hot 97 summerjam he had slow bucks robbed and beaten on stage while he performed in front of it and made sure he never got caught looking at the incident happening...

The reason why? Slow bucks took a picture with 50s son a fewweeks prior and said some slick comments about it. 50 made one post then went silent: " this picture was a bad idea" lol

I can tell you guys one thing about 69, when you go to a block party,BBQ, kids birthday party and you see a group of 30 kids under the age of 15 dancing and reciting damn near all the lyricsto multiple songs, that artist is scalding hot. Same thing with young ma, Bobby smurda when they dropped. Cardi b it was the same thing. Nicki minaj or drake: same thing.

Alot of us probably don't listen to it,I don't at all, but across America it's strongly supported. And like I said amoungst the youth in the streets 69 is on fire.

Maybe man, but the kids I see doing this are kids not teens, and not drinking and smoking. And guess what regardless of what a bunch of older dudes say, they have a sub culture which drives the economy of music and the sound of it. It is what it is...

ehhh

we're in the dark age of hip hop....ever since lil wayne became the hottest rapper being as bad as he was/is and fathered in all this nonsense to be acceptable....in the grand scheme of things it's going to be looked at as the weakest era of hip hop....kind of like 80's rock is the weakest of rock n roll....before we are on to something totally different

I can't say that I hate everything out right now but I would say 75-80% I hate. In the car it's usually just shade 45 but in the gym it's absolutely my go to stuff.
Big L
Big Pun
Fat Joe
Capone n noreaga
Jada
Styles p
Nas
Stuff by DJ premier and some alchemist.
For the ones still around it's mostly their early work. 90's early 2000's.

I gave Mozzy a listen just can't do it. U wanna listen to a "gangster" with talent give Montana of 300 a listen.

I actually should throw in some Philly stuff. Cassidy and dreamchasers 2 from meek. I sometimes put that in rotation

I think east coast fans take longer to feel west coast gangster rap.

You didn't like mozzy on shade 45?

This has become the "listen to Mozzy thread" lol.
Come on bro. I didnt laugh at you when you said rappers delight was the first gangster rap song. Or whatever the fck you thought was the first gangster rap. Mozzy killed it on that sway freestyle thing they do over there. But as far as new s*** out there goes Mozzy is the s***. I mean anybody could vote for Nas Ice Cube or Tupac or biggie of course those guys are dope.

Lmao. I'm not making fun of you man, I just thought it was funny that he listed a bunch of legends and you asked about Mozzy. I can't laugh? I mean all of my opinions have been scrutinized heavily on this thread. I don't care. It's whatever to me. No disrespect was intended. And I said Kool g rap and schooly d were the first gangster rappers. Those are facts

You can you can laugh but then just get prepared to be laughed at. I think your hella tripping when you say kool g and schooly were the first gangster rap. That's just not what's been agreed upon by hip-hop in general. Hands down it would be NWA NWA came out and scared the s*** out of everybody body.

Nope

Coming from a guy that says 69 got the streets that's pretty funny.
69 and schooly running sh1t!

I said he is the hottest in the streets. Off and on charts for music. There is no dispute. Mutiple bill board no 1 hits and no record deal, running with treway. Where's Mozzy on bill board?

It's because of location most people in New York state claim too hip hop of all genres because rapping itself did start in New York. But everybody knows gangster rap started on the West Coast and that started a whole gang banging epidemic which spread across the country and that's why you even have Bloods and Crips in New York right now do you think we have f****** Vice Lords or Latin Kings in California fuk no what the fuk people copy California California doesn't copy other people

Dog that's my point you're talking about somebody on the f****** Billboard's top 5 running the streets.

do you bang?

do you bang?
What kinda question is that? I'm a white boy I've spent more than half my life in prison that's how I happen to know a little bit about the street and subcultures of California I'm also a hip hop fan.
I live in south sac inbetween oak park and Mack road.

It's a very straight forward question... Are you currently active?

I smash gang bangers
Listen bro. I just think we see sh1t different .
I know your wrong about the first gangster rap. But i guess its debatable. If you asked the top 5 rappers what started gangster rap I bet they would say L.A. and NWA.
That's just common knowledge.
I remember it happening.
I remember people tripping over the lyrics and hearing first hand about drive by shootings.
No hard feelings dog. I just think west coast is WAY harder than the east coast

Whatever man. Are you active?
Im active in prison. But I don't just smash northerners or black dudes for no reason on the streets.
My father was an original BRAND member in Folsom state prison.
I wasn't evenallowed to listen to rap most my life. I had to sneak it.
You know what I mean?

I hear you man, your entitled to your opinion

I would also put up Conway the machine from buffalo over Mozzy. As for "newer artists" go.
Ill try that Conway the machine. But give "the truth" from mozzy a try. That's what got me hooked. But a lot of the references are from this area so im not sure it carries over...his hype man in the video got smoked 16 hours later and its been back to back gang war ever since

no one takes him serious

but the funny thing is I see him featured on all these little artists songs....they must know putting him on will get them attention, so he's basically just being used as a come up for ppl these days
Seriously hadn't heard of him until people mentioned him in here. I honestly think I may have seen a meme with him before but never took it serious.

And....I like 50 but he hasn't been active jn the streets in 10 years. Hes an actor and a regular on the view. That's kinda my point. 50 is now just a rapper not a gangster rapper. Its called " turning rap"
I don't blame him and im not mad at him, but 50 cent isn't the barometer for "the streets" in my opinion.
It was so odd for him to come off as the biggest baddest mofo on the streets then fast forward a few years and dude Is bankrupt and a regular on the view. ?
