Im surprised company not moved to Eaas yet..
Why would they? We know EAA are better, and still contain BCAA, but we, forum members, are in the minority when it comes to education of supplements and ingredients. Thus, we cannot be catered to.
Xtend has been around for a LONG time and I would argue, is the first supplement when one thinks of amino acids/intra workout. With that in mind, a reformulation might throw off the majority of the users, which are non forum members. They will hear/read/see a change and think it is not the same, even if it may be better.
Look at some brands on here that have reformulated for better or worse; some users look for a replacement supplement. You have to think of the big players in each category that have been around for a while, ON for protein, Scivation for BCAA, etc. A reformulation/change can hurt their bottom line. I know Scivation has different versions of Xtend, but in the end, it is still the tried and true formula that people over the past 10 years or so, have come to love.
I agree with you, from the standpoint that EAA are better, but from a marketing standpoint, it is easier to stick with what people know.
If you want EAA, there are several good supplements out there, including the new EAminoMax!
