Next PES Insider Deal???

I made new shake:
6 large eggs, milk, oatmeal and 1 scoop of SELECT Chocolate cupcake.Mixed with a hand blender.

It tasted like chocolate cookies. Not sweet at all and it was really delicious! Easy to get it down and no stomach issues such as gas, bloat etc.

Next time I will use Snickerdoodle:)

That is one of my favorite flavors right there! Absolutely love how easily the powder mixes with no clumps as well. :)

Snickerdoodle ............. Yum !!

It just wasn't a popular product at all.

Although we like the formula we couldn't keep manufacturing something when the amount of people purchasing it was so small.

Sad day.

It's just what they do, get rid of products that actually work

Either that or we decided continuing to manufacture a product that none of our customers were buying anymore made no sense

Oh man that blows my mind. Such a unique and beneficial product. Sad day indeed.

When a supplement company has to commit to manufacturing a minimum number of tubs of goods which expire by a certain date, you have to be able to sell through them before that.

It is not feasible to manufacturer them in a smaller quantity without the tub price going up considerably. Ergonine simply wasn't a popular enough product for us to keep making more unless we reduced the quantities and raised the price.

From a personal perspective, I would like to keep Ergonine but it wasn't a popular item and that made continuing to make it out of the question.

I would like to thank kbayne and PES for the nice package I got today! Really appreciate your kidness and thank you a lot :)

Being a very picky guy, I havent been using protein shakes more than 10 years. I found all protein powders to have the typical protein aftertaste which I dont like.

I wanted to try PES Select and I asked for a free samples. What I got was 3 tubes (7 serving each) and a nice and very tasty Protein bar :) (i ate it and it was soft and very very very nice :)

The package came all way from USA to North of Norway :)
Thank you again. Will let you know how I like the protein :)

Damnit it seems like every preworkout product that I use regularly ends up getting discontinued.

It's not really meant to be used as a preworkout.

I'm on a stimulant break, and it's actually a fantastic stimulant free preworkout product. I get a fantastic energy boost from it, and it greatly enhances my workouts. So for me it is indeed a preworkout. Plus it's versatile too, I have combined it with many stimulant based pre's as well.

So I guess I don't matter as a customer, cause I bought it and a bunch of other people purchased it. So they don't matter
strong strawman here. BDCC never said you don't matter as a customer, only that the product wasn't popular and sales were low.

The statement is factual, not personal. From a company's perspective, a product needs to generate a profit in order for them to continue to produce it. When supply exceeds demand in such a way as to cause a loss, the sensical thing to do is drop that product

Have you tried High Volume? That's our non-stim pre-workout.

It's unfortunate that some people read what they want from any information given. Tends to happen very often this day and age though. Every customer matters but the obvious point made and explained In more detail by bdccs next point remains.

Can't say that a straight up pump only product is of much interest to me. I suspect that PES may have missed the boat in the marketing angle of Ergonine. I found when comparing it to other non stim preworkouts it shares a large amount of the same types of ingredients. By not marketing it as a preworkoutout it takes it out of the preworkout category at most retailers. I can't see how this would have improved sales any.

I think one of the problems is the all-in-one category isn't particularly popular.

If we had marketed it as a pre workout it would have been confusing on a "if I want a non stimulant pre workout should I take Ergonine or High Volume?" angle.

Sometimes we have made products we would like to use and see if customers like them as well (TruNeuro is a good example). With Ergonine it's popularity dwindled and we just couldn't justify continuing to make it.

Sounds like the bigger problem is the level of education the average consumer has about products.

Everything in Ergonine had scientific study based dosages behind it. Meanwhile people have no problem guzzling the middle of the road preworkouts which have absolutely no where near the clinical dosages in betaine and creatine yet it doesn't matter to them as long as they feel some BA tingles.

That's me BA Tingles and I'm buying it!!

Let's not forget also the typical sales person at the big chain health/fitness stores as well. Unfortunately when marketing as a pre workout the typical starter or non educated gym enthusiast may be looking for that euphoric "high" associated with so many preworkouts that actually do little for performance and more for the feel. It is beyond sad to see such a top quality product fail by the wayside. :/

So I made a solid protein shake containing:
6 large eggs, milk and 1 scoop of SELECT Vanilla and mixed with a hand blender.

I knew eggs would "neutralize" the sweet taste from the powder and I need to say the shake was damn good. Tasted like pastry but not sweet which I like**Amazing vanilla taste*best vanilla powder I have tried*:)

I thought that when consuming raw eggs your body can only utilize half of the protein. So for instance instead of getting 36g of protein you’re only getting 18g

There's a study from the late 90s that showed better absorption for cooked over raw. It was like 90% vs 50% or close to that. So if your aim is getting as much protein as possible, then cooked, but raw is sometimes just more convenient.

Yeah, I understand what you are saying.

It is to be expected though, someone can know nothing about sports nutrition but enjoy a caffeine buzz from an otherwise poorly formulated product. A very small percentage of people are likely to understand ingredients like betaine anhydrous and LCLT.

Ergonine was always going to be a product aimed at educated consumers so it's potential had a lower ceiling than a pre workout, combine that with it's natural product life cycle and it got to the point it wasn't feasible to continue making it.

Just like that I was cleaning my drawer at work and I found this , there are few scoops left but expired...who cares I'll still use it :)
Nostalgia tho on the old days of Athletix having Ergonine under their brand!Invalid Link Removed

If you stumble across the OG Athletix High Volume I dread to think what the texture would look like now lol

Drop the solid brick into a blender and voilà ;) it's turned into fine powder again!
Genius! Honestly in order to save an amazing tub of powdered greatness it would be an option for me!

I strangely am having a strong craving for some White Chocolate Mint today. I love the flavor but usually take breaks between tubs to preserve my stock. I'll be going home and cracking a tub today! :)

I like that flavor but can only drink it every once in a while, other wise I get tired on it!

I can usually down a tub in a few weeks and still be craving the next shake. But I try to hold back knowing it may not be back on the market but once a year.

Well epic fail today. Heading out of town for the night and out of all things I forgot my damn Select bars! FML
