Day 2 Workout:
Did Chest and Tri's. The bro workout.
4x10 Incline Dumbell
4x10 Weighted Dips
3x10 Rope Pulldowns
3x10 Single Arm Tricep Extrensions
3x10 Incline Dumbell Fly's
I felt really good given I've taken 3 weeks off and 36 hours of getting into ketosis. I honestly think my body adapts faster than most. I feel so much better when Im in ketosis vs carb based diets. I also feel way more positive which is key to me.
No cardio. Going to try get the calories stabilized and at least 2 weeks of weights before I even venture into cardio. Its a marathon, not a sprint.
No Pre workout today. Again, want to slowly get back into a routine before adding anything substantial.
I did have my Modern BCAA mixed with a little apple cider vinegar and lemon juice during my workout.
What does Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon Juice do with the BCAA?
ACV improves insulin sensitivity. Prior to my beta cell transplant I used it at 2 to 4 tablespoons per day. I would say that overall it helped me consume a little more carbohydrates before my blood sugar levels went out of control. I put it on salads, veggies and in warm water before bed.Nothing. Its just the easiest to add in terms of flavor.

New to me as wellI used to take it before bed with warm water to avoid acidity/gastric issues. But never with BCAA. This is new to me

I love the keto for cutting up. I have been contemplating hitting up some keto myself to get nice and cleaned up. Plus see if it helps with some of my inflammation issues.
Do you notice any reduction in inflammation when you are running Keto? I haven't gone full on keto for about 2 years now, but I seem to remember less inflammation back then too. Then again 2 years of hard training could have just beat me up more also.

Are you planning on using any BHB salt supplements? Seems to be all the new rage these days, but honestly I haven't looked into keto dieting or what these supplements are supposed to do.

Hmmm...Update:
Saturday I did a depletion work out. It mainly consisted of chest/back bi/tri's and my legs were still feeling it.
I had my cheat meal which consisted of various types of Chile as we had a neighborhood chile cook off and it was great. I didn't care, sampled everything and was up 3lbs in my weigh in this morning. Don't care, its part of of the plan.
Supplement update:
Tried Alphagen-x. This SH!T is LEGIT. If I compare it to Re1gn, it had a much more mild clean long lasting energy. I had zero crash and it definitely had a euphoric effect. Dare i say, original Alpamine like....
It did nothing for pump as its not supposed to but as far as an energy/mood enhancer, it was really good. I am taking it again tomorrow for a follow up.

Do you think this might be why you dont experience pump as much? I know my pumps were a faint memory when I did keto. But because of all the dietary cholesterol my strength was amazing.
I do like it a lot because it does remind of the original Alphamine. It has that euphoria type effect with no crash and no crazy stim effects for me.
Also comparable in terms of the AY content vs PES SA2-A which was as smooth as a baby’s ass?

Ok got super busy and haven't done an update in a few days.
Weight: 210. So down another couple lbs. Cheat meal Saturday night had no effect on progress.
Monday:
4x10 Dumbell Press - I was back to me wright and reps pre break so even though down 12 lbs and in keto, strength is still there.
3x10 Incline Fly's
4x10 Weighted Dips
3x12 Rope Pulldowns
3x12 Tricep Extensions
Tuesday:
Deadlifts 5x8 Same deal..back to weight pre break and keto. Love it.
Rack Pulls 3x8
Seated Rows 3x10
Curls EZ Bar 3x12
Seated Incline Curl 3x12
I started the week off with some cardio. Steady state, 40 minutes of walking on 6 degree incline. I"m a big fan of steady state while doing keto.
Switched back and forth from Re1gn and AlphaGen-x. Sometimes I like the pump, but I like the energy/mood better with AlphaGen-x plus I get some fat burning benefits. It really depends on what you're into.
I'm looking into some other things to try and have to decide within the next few days.
