I'm not looking to enter but I do want to say now that Vegan Select has came out, I find myself using it more than dairy protein lately

The texture is thick and makes for excellent protein sludge or even shakes

Flavor wise, its hands down the best vegan protein I've used (and I've had quite a few brands)

For those people looking to try a vegan protein for the first time, this is definitely the way to go

I recently won the gaspari hyperamino. Not sure if this will disqualify me?
I used to drink only vegan proteins up to about a year ago. Tried a lot and i currently have the vegan vitaminshoppe brand in my drawer. A few to name that I used to drink: nitrofusion plant fusion, plant warrior & planthead .

Edit:
- which tub you are competing for.
Peanut Butter Delight for someone that used to use Vegan Proteins exclusively
- whether you are able to review.
Yes I can review.
- have you tried pb cookie select.
I have tried a PES protein in the past from a sample, but I can not remember what flavor. So i will say no I have not tried PB cookie
Mow you were so close to pushing your way into the winners circle here. If you could send me your info I would be happy to see what I can get you sent out as far as samples and such. We shall see no promises but I will try to get something lined up.

I quit sending out samples like this after I was contacted by a hazmat director who told me I was to pick up my package that spilled in Indiana. :/

Select Vegan PB:

In Shake - The thickness compared to regular Select PB Cookie is 2x thicker as to be expected from a vegan protein powder. The chalkiness is present in the initial flavoring and well into the aftertaste. The peanut flavor is strong from the initial flavoring, but fades fast as there was no sweetness to counter the chalkiness of the aftertaste. For a vegan PB flavor it is good, but when you compare it to regular PB cookie select its like comparing fast food to a mom and pop restaurant, both totally in different leagues as far as taste go.

In Protein Pudding: - The chalkiness is diluted from mixing in yogurt, but still present in the aftertaste. The peanut flavor is the initial hit on your taste buds, and there is a very subtle sweet aftertaste, but so small you may miss it. The overall flavoring is better in protein pudding compared to a shake IMO, but it may vary to others. The overall difference between the select and the vegan is the creaminess in the peanut butter flavor is more present.

My 2 cents on comparing both. Especially in a way which most people will utilize the protein powder.
Comparing to other vegan proteins: 8/10 ( I prefer the chocolate over the PB)
On a regular scale as an everyday protein powder: 6/10

Great review. One question. Is it too powdery? The current vegan protein we have at home, and plantfusioni have tried before, is way too powdery and if dumped too quickly in a container some grams of powder manage to jump out and spill

if by powdery you mean thicker then yes. You have to remember the make up of a vegan protein compared to a regular whey protein is night and day. PEA and brown rice are very dense. This is why you may feel them to be "Powdery" compared to regular Select PB Cookie.

Gotta compare plant based with plant based to properly most definitely. I've never had a vegan protein beat out a good whey but that doesn't mean it never will. I can't wait to order some!

I did if you read my review .
1) Reps asked for comparison between PB Cookie Select and Vegan
2) I ranked it on a vegan scale and a regular scale
3) I still would grab the chocolate off the vegan line over the PB .. My 2 cents.

Gotta compare plant based with plant based to properly most definitely. !
You asked for plant based to plant based. I have tried NO WHEY From AI Sports, Vega Vegan protein, snd all the flavor (minus berry) From PES.
Hence my rating on vegan protein rating being an 8/10 among other plant based and Vegan protein powders I have tried.

- whether you have tried vegan protein powder before.
- have you tried pb cookie select.
PES Reps wanted a rating vs PB Cookie Select, which I also gave as well.
So therefore I answered your question, and also what the reps wanted. Do i think it beats out a regular whey? No chance

If you want a product with no lactose and something to mix thicker, then of course this will be your cup of tea. For those who can tolerate lactose and value a bit more flavor they would possibly prefer PB cookie Select. Regular PB cookie has a slight salty aftertaste and provides a creamier/richer Peanut Butter flavor that is hard to compose in the vegan PB flavor.

Great feedback and review sir. The Peanut taste definitely struck me strong in this one. Was actually pretty pleasant as I'm a strong fan of nuts. (Not pun intended) Most peanut butter flavoring is so rich that it is almost like a candy bar type pb but this actually has a much more prevalent peanut taste to it. I guess it somewhat has a chalky taste to it but I actually didn't mind that as I typically mix with milk and enjoy it in oats so it doesn't really stand out to me much.

I mix in milk too, still the chalkiness is very present in the initial taste and even in the aftertaste. I agree the peanut flavoring is strong, it just misses the saltiness and creaminess from regular PB Cookie Select. With a PEA/Brown rice makeup, it is so much harder to flavor which is why the flavoring won't be as strong as Regular PB Cookie select. Another reason why i wrote if you want a protein powder with no lactose and don't mind a small knock in flavor then this will be their cup of tea. There is something for everyone, and it is a wise move on PES's part to give an option to consumers who want to avoid the dairy and bloating from a regular whey protein. This enables the company to sell their protein to all consumers.

Not sure if you think I was picking apart your review but I was not doing anything of such a nature. Just adding my response and 2 cents. I have mentioned numerous times it is a much different flavor than pb cookie select as well. Once again thank you for your honest review we appreciate you taking the time to do this. :)

Never said you were. I always mix my shakes in milk, so we are on the same page with always doing the same ritual. I found the chalkiness was diluted when mixed in yogurt, which is probably what you picked up in oatmeal as well. I do not eat oatmeal (due to digestion problems), so i can't 100% comment on that aspect or I would of.
