The epic food porn thread

White fudge covered Oreos are back for the holidays! Picked up 3 boxes at Walmart along with a bag of Reese's clusters. Also, I tried the mint M&M's and wasn't a fan. Too much mint for me

Which mint? The peppermint or the holiday mint? And if the holiday, are they different than the regular mint ones?

Carmel pop arts are good...more Carmel than apple of I remember correctly...not super strong flavor

Def. Want those pop tarts

Holiday mint. However I was a bit tipsy when I first tried them. Just ate some more and I like them. Good balance but mint wins. They taste like the chocolate mints at fancy restaurants

Hmm def gonna have to try them.

Really tho I'm most interested in the stripper ones ("shimmering") haha.

I like my candy like my women, cheap and covered in glitter.

Trader Joe’s Chocolate Mousse Pumpkins

DSC04140.JPG

Grade: A

These things are absolutely ridiculous. I was hesitant on grabbing them, but thank god I did. They are about 1” Thick, but they are chocolate cream filled pumpkin cookies and they have a mousse filling. Think about taking a moist chocolate cake and throwing it inside a pumpkin shaped cookie with layers of chocolate. These things are deadly good, and what is crazy these are only around 120 calories.

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Cookies

57367-petite-pumpkin-spice-cookies.jpg

The cookies are crispy and crunchy...and pack a lot of pumpkin spice flavor. In addition to fall spices, the cookies definitely have a yogurt pretzel quality, minus the salt. Good to have on hand when you're craving a little hit of pumpkin spice. Think about a yogurt coated pumpkin cookie, it just does not hav a whole lot of pumpkin spice going on. That's ok, but it still is a good cookie and worth the grab. These are small cookies, but delicious and very moist/soft.

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark

57805-org-pumpkin-spice-granola-bark.jpg

The crunchy granola is made with oats, almonds, quinoa, cornflakes, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin purée, Vermont maple syrup, coconut oil, and pumpkin season spices. It’s pressed flat and baked, then generously spread with rich dark chocolate (66% cacao), and topped with maple-sea salt-seasoned pumpkin seeds. If you ever had Cowboy bark this stuff is just as good if not better if you are a pumpkin fan. The chocolate coating at the bottom is a very rich and dark chocolate. For dark chocolate lovers this is a must. The granola is loaded with flavor that has a sweet aspect from the maple syrup, and then the savory aspect of all the pumpkin spices. You are hit with a lot of different flavors, but it meshes together really well. Its amazing how these are in the stores and off the shelves in 2 weeks. I see why, they are huge sellers.

White Fudge Covered Oreo’s

Invalid Link Removed

Plain and simple – its just an Oreo cookie getting dumped on with white chocolate. While it may seem basic, it can go very well with the sweet cream center. The Cookies are pretty darn thick, and pack a punch of flavor. The White chocolate goes very well with the chocolate shell to give you the best of both worlds if you like white chocolate. Just picture a regular oreo dunked in white chocolate and then hardended. . The rich taste of white chocolate/fudge, sweet and creamy, which then mixed with the bitter taste of the chocolate cookie and the super sweet creme filling. It was sort of like eating an inside-out Oreo cookie, to be honest. It seems like the cream filling is a bit shy compared to a regular oreo, but the outside coating makes up for it. A must grab, and for only 100 calories its nothing to complain about.

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Caramel Corn.

Invalid Link Removed

The caramel corn texture is exactly as you would expect it to be. Very crispy , crunchy, and packs a lot of flavor. The pumpkin spice flavor is there, but it is not very strong. It's sweet more than spicy, and slightly more caramel than pumpkin, I'd say. Pumpkin seeds add a nice nuttiness to the product and blend well with the salty aspects of the corn. If you like Caramel corn its hard to really pick up on the amount of pumpkin and pumpin spices in here. You really get more of the caramel corn aspect with minimal hints of pumpkin. Even those who are not huge pumpkin fans should enjoy this product. Needs more pumpkin IMO

Grade: B

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin-y pumpkin bites

trader-joe-pumpkin-y-pumpkin-bites-4422.jpg

They taste like above-average pumpkin cookies. Lets not confused these with the Choolate/mouse layered pumpkin cookies though which were far superior. They're nice and soft, and the coating of brown sugar and spices on the top gives them just a hint of a firmer, almost crunchy texture. They combine the elements of pumpkin flakes, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spices to give you a tri-fecta of flavors. These are good if you like very soft pumpkin bites, but could use some more flavor in each and every bite. Some of these tasted a bit stale in the flavor, which was a bit of a turnoff. They are not bad, but nothing to write home about. Worth a pickup

Double Chocolate Chip & Blueberry Muffin:

This place literally has a full sized room based off just desserts. Roommate bought these for me. These were so moist, fresh, and melt in your mouth it was insane. The blueberries goosed in your mouth and the chocolate chips were melting biting into the muffins. The chocolate was so rich my head started to spin. Almost reminded me of straight dark chocolate. The amount of cinnamon sugar on the blueberry went perfect with the muffin. All in all these were solid. Maybe I was just starved after dieting for 6 months, but these were GOLD

Peanut Butter Cupcake
Super moist, rich, and milk chocolate base loaded with a peanut butter filling, chocolate glaze, and a full reese peanut butter cup

How did you hear about this before me.....I didn't know about it until after

It's best if we don't delve into the amount of food related info that I waste brain power on.

Also Found the Oreo Bar at Walmart. Will get my review up by this weekend when I crack into it.

Oreo Big Crunch Bar:

Invalid Link Removed

The outside is a very rich milk chocolate flavor. Combine that with a crunchy sweet cream & thick chocolate center. As the outside of the bar melts in your mouth, the texture of the center provides a thick compliment full of flavor. This creme is softer and more whipped than the traditional Oreo creme; it’s like an Oreo ganache or truffle . The chocolate cookie has a touch of a cocoa aftertaste, but it has the balance between a cookie and candy in texture. The bar may be 1000+ calories for the entire thing, but the flavor factor alone is worth the buy.

Cliffs
- Rich milk chocolate outside
- Sweet Cream and Chocolate Crunchy Center very dense and thick
- Absolutely delicious
- Go Buy NOW

Lol. I'm digging the Anabolic Pump in the background. I never eat pizza without it! I swear it keeps me from getting bloated or as I like to call it, carb-swoll

Those kinder bueno are just that... bueno!

Good eye sir. The Country bar is no slouch either though.

With a milky sweet white layer + crispy sweetened cereal, it tastes like the essence of cereal milk...covered in chocolate. In other words, piss.

By all accounts this is foodporn, so this is being left here

Finally found a Oreo Big Crunch bar. Oh man is that good. Picked that up and the winter Oreos today.
Still waiting on money0351 to post that recipe for those pizza rolls

Come on folks. Let's respect the aura of gluttony that has been cultivated in this thread.

This is not the place for diet foods nor is it the company promo section.

^this thread promotes 100 companies a day

But it's fine I'll keep "food porn" limited to only appealing food that also makes you fat

Though IMO that is the cheat meal thread, whereas this is open to aesthetic food as well. If I drool looking at it, it's food porn

No.. Just No.....
You need to go find a good mom and pop cupcake place that makes legit "Less Healthy" cupcakes. Don't go to a local grocery store and get some low grade cupcakes that are calorie bombs and not worth your time. True baked goods that are of high quality destroy protein baked goods anyday of the week. But then again.. you really have yet to contribute anything to this thread lol.

People. Go out, eat real food, report back.

Just smh. This is the epic food porn thread. "Makes you fat"? Seriously?

You are doing the equivalent of posting beastiality in the middle of my favorite wanking content.

More like having my own opinion on the matter, but if that's how you see it keep doing what you do

Eg. I consider making something very time consuming for me, yielding something I found both attractive to look at and great to eat, plus unique, plus I get more food volume
-that I qualify as epic *shrug*

won't be proud of myself anymore

Certainly not if all my work gets called animal humping

Don't take the "gets you fat" literally.

I'm not an idiot and was, I thought jokingly but clearly, referring to the caloric difference. That does matter to some people...

I'd rather eat a whole cake of my making than a slice from a restaurant 6 days out of 7. I like feeling full. When I feel like a calorie bomb I go get one. Balance.

I was also sticking up for the others who have taken to baking and were proud enough to share here. Shouldn't be hard to just scroll down past any post you don't deem foodporn worthy.

Now this is off topic as hell though so...
Back to posting food porn.

Beware, if it looks just "meh" I'll come in screaming

I though food porn was a picture of food that made you think "man, I would really like to eat that!" I guess not ;)

Hmmm you learn something new every day

This is to be a thread dedicated to all the epic food porn and recipes that we all make.

The rules:
It must be something you made or ate yourself
It must be amazing looking or tasting
Pics or it's not real

Feel free to post the recipes, macros, etc as I'm sure someone will ask anyways.

From the OP^

As the owner of this thread, I'm making an executive ruling:

This thread is for pictures of anything edible, fun, unique, good looking, exotic, or that you generally want to cram in your mouth and savor the enjoyment of eating, and feel others might enjoy as well.

It can be protein.
It can be healthy.
It can be a calorie bomb.
It can be junk food.
It can be friggin bugs if that's what you're eating.

It's for fun pics of food. That is all. Less talk, more:

This constant concern for calories and "maximizing food volume" is at the center of so many eating disordered tendencies.

I for one will leave you folks to your body image concerns.

May drop by occasionally to post pictures of "unhealthy" food.

Body image being valued on a fitness/BB/physique forum?

Uh oh
