2016 NFL Thread

I can't stand cowboy fans. Jesus you figured after 20 years of being irrelevant they'd be humble. Nope. About as obnoxious as Seattle fans.

@ Huff. Can't blame them for cutting him but can't blame him for having a gun

Ezekiel Elliott's accuser also alleges incident in February

Police in Aventura, Florida, were called to the apartment of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott to investigate an altercation with a woman in February, according to a report in USA Today Sports.

The alleged incident involved the same woman who made a domestic abuse claim against Elliott in July, according to the newspaper, which obtained a copy of the incident report.

The accuser alleged that Elliott, who was in Florida training for the draft, had pushed her against a wall resulting in left shoulder pain, according to the report, which also said there were no physical signs of injury and no independent witnesses.

There were no arrests, and there is no record the accuser pursued charges, Terry Chavez, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office, told USA Today.

Earlier this week, Elliott said he was interviewed by the NFL about six weeks ago about the abuse claim made against him in July. He characterized there being "an ongoing investigation" but said he didn't really know what was going on.

Melvin Gordon has a killer day and a big W over Tennessee for San Diego
Rodgers does not have enough life. Luck pulls out with a win on the road in Green Bay for Indy.
Kaep plays well, throws for over 300 yards, but still they lose by 20 points vs New Orleans. SF is struggling.
Cam pulls one out in the end, for a 13-10 win on the road vs Los Angeles
Minnesota is on the slide right now, Detroit gets a huge road win. MINN needs to get that offense squared away
Eli throws for 4 TD's and has a big game. Wentz continues to struggle and the eagles take another Loss after a very strong start this season.
Ajay runs well again and again and again, and the Dolphins continue to Win. Big W For the dolphins over the struggling Jets
KC Finds a way to escape and get a W over the Jags. Ugly game on both sides, but Jacksonville but the ball on the ground way too many times
Ben returns, but the offense looks very sluggish. Hard to run on the leagues best rushing defense. A lot of dropped passes and opportunities. Can't allow a 95 yard bomb up the sideline and special teams played a big part.
Cleveland still winless, and they look hopeless. Dallas takes care of business. Zeke held under 100 yards in another win. Dallas rolling.

Hell ya Colts

-Falcons extend GM Thomas Dimitroff's contract 3 yrs to be congruent with Coach Quinn's
-Buccs sign WR Josh Huff to PS
-Broncos Derek Wolfe has a hairline fracture to his right elbow
-Rams coach Jeff Fisher says that #1 pick QB Jared Goff wont play until the Rams are out of playoff contention. LMAO.
-Tenn RB Derrick Henry has a calf strain
-Giants OL Justin Pugh has a knee sprain
-Browns announce that QB Cody Kessler will start Thurs vs Bal
-Cheifs say QB Alex Smith will start Sunday

Wentz & the ground game showed up today and the Eagles got a much needed W
Baltimore pounds Cleveland who is hurting for a victory sooner or later
TENN blows away the packers at home as that offense was firing on all cylinders.
Minn takes another loss. After starting the season strong they have taken a large slide. Washington walks away with a close Win.
Winston throws for 300 and 2TD's for a commanding victory over the Bears
Kansas City just squeezes by Carolina on the road. Carolina who were in the SB Last year are not looking like themselves
Petty gets the start for the Jets, but still lose to the Rams 9-6
Denver gets a big W on the road in new orleans and keeps the saints to under 30 points in the dome.
Houston is breathing some life back into their program with a series of wins. Just reeling another one off by 3 vs the Jags
Miami with a road win vs SD 31-24
Game of the week Steelers and Dallas had 7 lead changes. Steelers were 0-4 on 2 point conversions but Zeke ran wild and had over 200+ from scrimmage. Instant classic football game down to the last second.
Plamer almost puts up 400 points to give the Cardinals a 23-20 Win.

If the Steelers had a decent defense would have easily won. And that is not a dig as Dallas they are a good team and played great. It's just the Steelers have lots of potential for the future

Stopping the cowboys is not an easy task at the moment. That team is rolling, and is loaded with weapons.

Yea cowboys have no potential for the future. LOL Steelers played better than I thought they would. Defense is garbage without Dick L.

Not what I was saying. I said Dallas was a good team didn't I?? I only mention Steelers potential for the future is because they are my team. So for the love of God don't be that arrogant

If they had a defense. They actually have more talent than. Dallas on D. But they are garbage without Dick. 4-5 this year. They are closer to zone burg than blitzburg. It was great to see the alpha dogs of the NFL battle it out. We will take care of the ravens this week to help y'all out.

Yea they missed the face mask on Easley.

Partying down south like it is "1999" this weekend. Trump and Cowboys dominated.

The way you act about the Cowboys you seriously can't be any older than 15...

Oh, and there were several missed PI on brown. You know like the one where he was basically molested in the end zone. But I guess you're too blind to see that bc it was the Cowboys doing it to another team. Pitiful.

They don't have the pass rush talent to pressure the Qb, got nothing to do with Dick. Dicks defense was outdated.

Father of Chiefs long snapper James Winchester killed in Will Rogers Airport shooting
The Minnesota Vikings have released kicker Blair Walsh.
Seattle Seahawks have waived RB Christine Michael.
No. 1 pick Jared Goff will make his 1st NFL start Sunday when the Los Angeles Rams host the Miami Dolphins

*Saints LB Michael Mauti opens up about the ulcerative colitis disease he has battled for the last four years. He will miss the rest of the season after doctors recommended surgery to try and correct the issue long-term.*

*Colts worked out CB Will Davis, WRs Antwan Goodley and Dres Anderson, former Dolphins G Dallas Thomas, and LB Davis Tull.

No opportunity for Dallas to be flexed into Sunday night. 4 out of last 7 games are already prime time and the rest are noon games.

The Packers on Tuesday claimed former Seahawks running back Christine Michael off waivers. Seattle had cut Michael on Tuesday.

Former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White tweeted Wednesday that he plans to report a Dekalb County (Georgia) police officer, who had his hand on his gun during a routine traffic stop.

Vikings announced on Wednesday it had signed Kai Forbath to replace Blair Walsh

The Bucs were awarded former Seahawks defensive tackle Sealver Siliga off waivers today.

Patriots injury report: TE Rob Gronkowski (chest) did not practice. Meanwhile, DT Alan Branch (back), WR Chris Hogan (back), WR Julian Edelman (foot) and TE Martellus Bennett (ankle) were all limited.

CB Marcus Peters did not practice because of a hip pointer but the Chiefs don't appear concerned he will miss Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Cardinals re-sign P Drew Butler

Hoping you are wrong on that Philly prediction. They've played their best against better teams so far this season. Hopefully, that trend continues.

Well with how they have been playing recently, they have not looked sharp. Wilson and the Hawk's look a bit better ATM, but that is why they line up every Sunday to see who deserves the W. Anything can happen!

Agreed. Wentz hit a rookie wall but that defense and running game has been picking up slack. One of the best eagle teams in recent memory.

Steelers take care of Business @ The browns today. Good to see Bell putting up big numbers vs a lackluster Cleveland Defense. Browns have their QB Go down at the end of the 3rd quarter. What a nightmare that situation is becoming.

Minnesota has a bunch of big plays in special teams and a lot of interceptions by the Cardinals causes MINN To get back on track with a W

Eli plays good enough to win vs the Bears who continue to struggle. Only 2 wins this year, and yet to win a game on the road.

Winston throws for 300 and gets a nice road win vs KC

Buffalo escapes a road win vs Cincy. AJ Green carted off. looks like he may be gone the entire year with an injury. which is a huge blow for Cincy and that offense.

Tenn may have dominated when it comes to total yards and also an interception, but it was not enough to win vs Indy on the road.

Detroit with a pick 6 and a punt return paves way for a win even with a sloppy offensive showing vs the Jags. A few big plays and the Jags could of escaped on the road.

Dallas moves to 9-1 and continues to look impressive. Dak continues to improve every game. Zeke was held under 100 yards. Baltimore needed to show up in the 2nd half, but Dallas just pounded the clock and took control. That O-Line looks to be one of the best in the NFL.

Seattle is too much for Philly on all fronts. Wentz was pressured all game and made some bad throws, Sherman grabs his 4th pick of the year.

New England surge in the 2nd half and really pile it on San Francisco. Who continues to struggle to find a W in that program. Chip Kelly is not having it easy on the west coast.

Gurley helps take the load off Goff in his first start. While Goff did not look great, Tannehill did not look so great either. Miami surged very late and picked up a TD with 30 seconds left to secure the Win.

News Around the League:

11 PAT Missed. Thats crazy!

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain is being suspended for another year, on top of the 10-game suspension he's currently serving that is scheduled to end Monday, and there are doubts he will get to play again in the NFL after recently missing another drug test.

Chicago Bears rookie linebacker Leonard Floyd was taken off the field on a backboard and a cart after a frightening injury Sunday in his team's 22-16 loss to the New York Giants.

Ezekiel Elliott set the Dallas Cowboys' rookie record for rushing yards in a season.

Bills announce LeSean McCoy will need surgery to repair a dislocated left thumb but that he is expected to play next Sunday vs. Jacksonville.

I was only a young child the last time the Cowboys were relevant, so I never understood all the hate they get.

Now, I fully understand.
