You have lost 7.5 pounds? Since the start of this? If so, that is amazing. Great great work.

To everyone doing this. Beast73 and I were talking and he suggested making this 8 weeks instead of 6. I don't really know how to respond to him for a few reasons...

1. This was originally hairygrandpa's challenge to me and SFreed had the idea to do this thread, so In just started it.

2. Along the lines if #1 I never intended to be any kind of "overlord" for this thing. This thread belongs to everyone who wishes to participate.. what you guys want is what is important.

3. Dieting can often be much harder than we give it credit for. 18 pounds in 6 weeks is a challenge, enough of a challenge that it, in itself, seems motivating - but the real key in my mind, is that there are going to be pitfalls. There will be times in those 6 weeks where all of us will feel like we are about to fail. I invite this, because overcoming these challenges, digging deeper and forging ahead - those are the real ways to win this. I don't personally care if you actually make the 18 pounds in 6 weeks. 14 pounds, 12 pounds, whatever - these can still be wins if you make it to the end, give it your all and get to a point where you push harder than you thought possible to TRY to get there. I want everyone to be successful, but I really believe the journey is more important than the destination.

So, this is everyone's thread....what does everyone think? How can we make this better, should we change anything? You guys decide.

IMO everyone can set their own goal. 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10#, 18#. Ultimately the goal here is to help.eberyone get where they want to go. I'd suggest just stating your goals to the group and then we all just check in and keep each other accountable to those goals. My actual goal is 200#, so I'm actually short of the "official" goal. With my vacation last week, my plan was to go for 7 weeks to make up for it.

I'm doing my PCT so lots of fat to give and in total it will be taking me out 10 weeks. :)

4 for the PCT and 6 for the official cut.l phase. Cannot wait to break out the DHEA, Incinderine, Exotherm, Inclvivtus and cruise downward.

I'm in.

Oh and thank you for the much appreciated words!

This sounds like a great little treat

I overdid the peanut butter. Ha, but next time, with a little less it should be perfect! Probably if I kept the peanut butter a little higher amount, I could spread it all on some toasted whole wheat bread and eat it like a sammich! (Thinking sliced banana on top).

Right now I'm post workout, having a Salmon Cado Roll with my Protein Drink. I had a craving...

:)

Looking good! Bro

Thank you sir, but I still know I have a long way to go. I am really hoping that the addition of an AI is going to help me cut down some water weight. I would gladly except any kind of weight it will help me cut the exception of muscle. The TRT is starting to help me feel better throughout the day but I still feel like I'm fighting an extremely uphill battle in this war against my fat

Remember there are many of us who are right with you. I fight the same battle with weight, trt, and being able to juggle daily life.
Any time you can get up and move is another accomplishment in my book.

Yes sir. Played linebacker and safety, and believe it or not, ran track, and was ridiculously fast
Hardest part is believing you still can do it. Just takes a lot more knowledge about recovery. And how it all works. Keep learning and moving you will be back to a 20 year old status again.

Yes sir! And I learn everyday! This forum is ridiculously full of knowledge and I have taken advantage of as much of it as possible . Thanks for the encouragement!

I have been here for years. And on another forum at the same time. Good people here. And good to know when they have the same issues. And can give you a guide.

Also can save you some money.

I hear that. We're always our own worst critic and it's NEVER enough. You're looking good, bro. And still noticeably leaner even with the water weight!

Well, another week of travel, meetings, work related stress and bad choices. Weight this morning was 189. FML. I seem to be having the hardest time ever with this challenge. Can't lose weight, can't gain size, can't sleep. Hate being a Negative Nancy, just can't seem to get out of this slump.

Sounds like you need to get back to basics. Everything in your post makes it hard to stay at weight. Little alone loose weight. I would say a week of travel and stress, with no weight gain is a win.

Home, rest, being in your gym, normal schedule, and meal plan. Get back to normal and your pounds will fall.

Not to start anything here but why do you assume that it is water weight from TRT? What are you running your TRT at? You should not be holding hardly any water from an effective TRT dose. Talk to me Goose! Let's figure this out for you.

If looking into an AI what AI are you looking into using? My recommendation for OTC Estrogen management is HANDS DOWN chuckdiesel's E2-X you won't find better Estrogen management. Keeping levels where you need them and not crushing them. Also clearing the methyl estrogens and modulates the AR to keep the negative effects of estrogen from taking control. I was able to manage my estrogen very well using 1 cap a day and you are given a dose up to 2 caps a day. I started with 2 to get things under control then backed down to one.

I can definitely see the improvements on your pics though. Your chest is tighter and less fat under the pecs, you have also lost a litte on the sides / flanks.

How long has it been since you took a rest or a week of just moderate activity? Have you had any refeeds recently? How often do you refeed, and how long have you been in a deficit? What is your typical deficit?

Well from what I understand, anything over 100mg a week on test-c has a much higher probability of water retention, and the doctor has me at 250mg. My weight seems to have moving up since Instated the TRT, so I just deduced it as the problem. My diet is fairly clean with ample amounts of protein intake with an average of 205g a day. I was supposed to take Arimidex with my test, but didnt order it. Im still drinking 1.5-2 gallons of water a day, but need to step my cardio up a bit more

Sorry for another long multi-quote. I've been crazy busy this week and haven't had as much time for the board...

This is kind of my thinking - this challenge doesn't have to be the end of your work toward a goal. Everyone's goals are their goals. But if this is 6 weeks of focus, losing 18 pounds in that time is VERY HARD, and having some extra motivation can be a good kick start in the beginning of a cut, help increase focus in the middle of a cut, or help bring someone at the end of the cut to that finish line. I just want people to try to do something REALLY HARD and move forward and learn from it. If they do it for 6 weeks and then do 2 more weeks after, great.

I'm doing my PCT so lots of fat to give and in total it will be taking me out 10 weeks. :)

Brother, I see improvements there. I really do. Keep pushing.

SFreed, you know how to do this. This is the point, in my mind, behind this challenge. It isn't about the 18 pounds or the 6 weeks. It's ACTUALLY ABOUT THE FAILING. 18 pounds in 6 weeks is extremely difficult. This is a 10,500 calorie deficit PER WEEK. My TDEE without added exercise is about 15,400 calories. That means if I don't exercise above and beyond that, I need to limit my intake to just 5,000 calories PER WEEK. The goal is extreme and very difficult.

It's not about the actual goal though, it's about failing and turning around and going back for more. It's about becoming honest with what this takes - I know you've been through worse, and I know you will turn this around and get the ship back on track.

And I KNOW you can do this, but I have times when I'm busy too and that is when I am most likely to fall off the wagon. Especially when my work day carries me late into the night, I haven't eaten, and I don't feel like cooking - it is so easy to just go out and grab something to eat. That is my weakness. But I've learned, for myself, to have a mentality of "I'm busy - it should be easier not to eat at all, so it's not a reason to let it hinder my progress."

But I acknowledge that is difficult and I have fallen off plenty. Just keep getting back at it. You have my support and the support of others on this board. Personally, I know you didn't get that physique you put up by sitting around being weak. You got this, I expect a lot from you, even if it all comes in the last 3 weeks.

This ^^^^

Like I said, this is actually ABOUT FAILING, and what you do with it. We will ALL fail. We've all had cheat meals already in this. And we can all turn it around and bring it.

I was thinking about the Yoda saying, "Do or do not, there is no try" - but in this case, that's ALL there is. Effort. The "just keep going", the journey.

And I guarantee, anyone who does this and seems "stuck" for 2 weeks or 3 weeks and then ends up losing 2/3 or even 1/2 of what they hoped - they will be happy and feel accomplishment. Because they will know, we will know, what they overcame to do that. And that's what matters.

Ahhh, well that could be. However I am shocked your doctor has you on 250mg of Cyp a week that is ridiculously high for TRT. More along the lines of some of the online HRT places where you pay to play. Basically like a cruising dose of test. I imagine he plans on lowering it soon, once you get your levels up maybe? If not just watch your liver values, hematocrit, and your estro levels running it that high. To give you an idea I take 75mg of Test E twice a week. So a total of 150mgs a week. That keeps my test level up around 1000-1200 on average.

HIT4ME, That's some Great Motivation!

So, speaking of motivation, I just spent 1 hour and 50 minutes on a treadmill. I am very tired at this point, haha. A lot of walking but the treadmill says I burned almost 900 calories, fitbit says 1400 calories....I like fitbit better. haha.

While I'm on the treadmill, I keep wanting to quit, and I think of all you guys - especially Beast73 and SFreed who go for these long runs and just crush it and I want to quit after 10 minutes, haha. But you guys are all on my mind and it is motivational to be part of a group that won't let me let myself down. But after a while, I get sick of listening to music on spotify, so I find a radio station with "motivational speakers".

Anyway, a couple of thoughts were brought up in these various motivational blurbs that I thought I'd like to share, mainly because I find them to be helpful in life and I strive to perfect these things even though sometimes I really suck at them:

1. Decide what you want and do WHATEVER it takes. Once you decide what it is you want, and decide to do whatever it takes, you become unstoppable. If a challenge pops up, it is just a challenge, because you will do whatever you need to do to get to your goal.

2. Failure is a temporary condition.

3. The probability of human life has been estimated by scientists to be 1 in 4 trillion. That means there is a 1 in 4 trillion chance that humans would even be here - that you should even be here. Appreciate what you have.

4. Somewhere, right now, there is someone taking their last breath on this earth. Someone wishing they could have done more, had more life to live. You are living. You are breathing air right now. Become the person you want to be, live the life you want.

5. Life is better with Bacon Cheeseburgers. Ok, that wasn't part of the motivational speeches. I made it up. And I'm going to have a cheat meal tonight. lol.

Ok gentlemen. I feel as if I have let myself down to this point with the weight loss, but, Im happy about my strength gains. Never did I think Id be squatting and deadlifting 315 for reps, or shoulder pressing 245 and doing hammer curls with 75s. Ill be 39 in a couple weeks, and I just BB rowed 255 for 10 and croc rowed 145. Im happy. But, the weight needs to come off. Cue today... i had a fairly lengthy PM talk with another member, and he has sparked a biga$$ fire under my arse! So, I got my 1.5 hours of racquetball in for about 1400 calories. I did however make my firehouse burgers by request, so, Ive got my stupid meal under my belt, pun intended. I work another 24 hour shift at my other department tomorrow, and WILL have a great workout. Thanks for everything guys! By the way, the burgers are huge, and the meat has A1, diced jalapeños, crushed red peppers and hot and spicy cheezits blended in, topped with jalapeno cheddar cheese. I will be eating better from now on guys! Had to get this one out of the way.Invalid Link Removed

Either way, you're killing it FireTitan. You're pictures show some serious improvement. Keep being you, it's working man!
