^^^ This.. DQ Is mediocre to the top dogs (S&S, Graeters, AH etc..)
Personally not a big fan of the B&J's core series. PB Fudge Core and Cookie Core were the only decent ones I tried.
Speaking of B&J all their best flavors always hit the damn graveyard anyway because they are too cheap to pay for the ingredients in them. Bastards.

Epic stash pic coming this weekend after my S&S comes in.

might be past its best before date but it's still taste the best to me lol. inb4 food poisoning

I almost got one back in June when we stopped at a DQ on the way home from fire training out of town. Ended up requesting the Oreo/Smores blizzard instead since everyone on here had solid feedback on it. Turns out, they didn't have it anymore, but the guy was like -- "I'll take care of you" and made me one. It was okay, and I appreciate his effort, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't as good as what everyone else would have gotten when it was legitimately offered.

But I saw the posters for the core and was very close to buying one.

And then after that the only thing I got from DQ was the cotton candy blizzard and it was delightful.
 
I know DQ isn't top tier icecream lol my wife and a friend wanted to head to DQ, so I figured "why not" and gave one a shot. I wouldn't go out of my way for some soft serve.

It was good though

Or from UK? Really struggle find some good icecream in Italy,except made of GROM.

Mine was preferring a can olli blizzard for a limited time and I was pretty good

Legit chunks of cinnamon roll's, a luscious cream cheese swirl, and one of the best ice cream bases found for a cinnamon roll flavor. This is the easiest way to dictate Salt and Straw Cinnatopia. If you ask me this takes the cake over Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns with ease. If they made this flavor a permanent flavor it would sell like hotcakes. The combination of cinnamon roll elements, the fresh dough of a baked good, and the glaze of cream cheese binds well to make one of Salt & Straw's best offerings.

Grade: A+

By how the lady on the phone told me she was like "This is a killer new flavor that is to die for"
I was like "Woman.. just bring back the pumpkin gingersnap.... white girl over here need basic bitch pumpkin flavor"
so she is checking today if it will be available by this weekend.

Not sure how many of you have tried Gelato Fiasco pints but Maine Wild Blueberry Crisp is amazing. Also living close to NYC is pretty awesome. Lots of great ice cream places located near here.

This flavor is notorious for being hit or miss. Many have gotten essentially 95% vanilla pints.

You are correct about NYC having epic ice cream choices however. Which have you tried?
 
Ample hills is the bomb. Love the cones from big gay ice cream too. Momofuku milk bar also has amazing soft serve. I think (as of like 2 weeks ago) they had coca cola float flavor. On point. I've tried a bunch... I love ice cream. Brooklyn ice cream factory is solid and the location by the brooklyn bridge is a good date spot. Melt Bakery ice cream sandwiches are also amazing. And I am surprised about the gelato fiasco thing....I guess I've gotten lucky.

Excellent to hear that we have a fellow ice cream fan with experience in the mix. If you haven't had the chance, stops at OddFellows and Van Leeuwen should very enjoyable.
 
Have checked them both out before. Haha. I'm not sure of any well known place I haven't been by. I've driven 45 minutes easy to grab a bite to eat followed by ice cream in the city. I'm located by the beach right outside the city but with food options so close.... I cant resist.

A unique twist of root beer flavored ice cream and mix-ins that fell short or a great execution. Ample Hills did a great job on nailing a root beer base, and for those who love root beer they will enjoy this greatly. The marshmallows I had 0 problems with as they were perfect. Super soft, great flavor, and give you a root beer float kind of vibe as you venture through this offering. The sprinkles were just there, even though they did not really enhance this pint. While it was nice to try a limited edition flavor in the taste of new york, I will be looking forward to the other flavors that were included.

Grade: C+

Kroger by me has a pint of graeters pumpkin french pot has anyone had it before thinking about trying it out but wanted to know before I got it

One of their worst flavors
Very basic and plain

If you want a plain pumpkin
Cold stone
Trader joes

Would be better scoops

If you have graeters get buckeye , cookie and cream ,
Black raspberry or cheese crown
 
The trader joe's speculoos cookie ice cream is amazing for its price. Also their frozen Greek yogurt is a great diet food. Good post workout carb source, especially if you dress it up with some low calorie add ins.

Yup. Here's a pint of cheese crown (my wife already got into it). You can see the amount of mix ins already!

Salt and straw pb and j with pb cereal......not tons of pb cereal but dont care one bit........these pics dont even do it justice, in all honesty it got even better.

The PB and and jelly were everywhere and dripping like not even partially frozen i have no idea how they did it........easy 10/10
