I'm up for seeing how others view the world. What's your top 10 B&J ranking from the (regular line-up) flavors you've had?

Intedasting. I can respect - even if appalled - your rankings. Mine are fairly different as you can infer.
Also, limited batch pints don't count. We are trying to add discipline to this exercise; otherwise, people could start including retired flavors and we'll have very non-comparable lists.

Salt & Straw with some killer flavors this month:
Sauvie Island Grapes PB&J - A vanilla based ice cream with a swirl of liquid peanut butter, crunchy bite-sized bits of homemade pb cereal and lovely, massive globs of homemade grape jelly.
Oregon Honeyed Rocky Road - We start with the darkest, richest, silkiest chocolate ice cream with studs of candied Oregon hazelnuts and a delicate honey marshmallow fluff.
White Toast & Apple Butter - Buttered white toast with cinnamon sugar (always pre-mixed in a silver shaker) and a dollop of apple butter.
Coava Coffee & Cocanú Craque - This cold brew based ice cream made in partnership with Coava Coffee Roasters is light, fruity, and super-eatable; handmade, candied, single-origin cacao nibs by Sebastian at Cocanú Chocolates
Sour Cream Fig Pie - We roast Oregon figs in a little brown sugar before folding and baking into a sour cream custard pie filling;
OK I'm interested in every flavor I might have to order

What I admire about Salt & Straw is they think outside the box. They are expensive and yes some flavors can be hit or miss. Their quality and their ice cream bases are top notch, mix-ins can be hit or miss, but honestly you are buying top grade ice cream.
Ample Hills on the other hand, they don't need to get too fancy, they just make good ass F'in ice cream, and are extremely consistent with ludicrous mix-ins.
Tough to say, but AH/Graeters/S&S have to be my top 3 companies out there...

Once we get settled into our new home in going to have to order from S&S. Is there a minimum? Will only have so much room for pints of icecream... Babies breast milk takes up the rest![]()

AH makes fun and delicious basic betch ice cream, but in terms of innovation and ingredient sourcing they are not even close to S&S. If you look at each of S&S's flavors, there is a story behind every ingredient and the exclusive manufacturer that it comes from. The only other company that can compete with them in those aspects is Van Leeuwen; however, they don't ship nationally the rotational flavors nationally and charge even more per pint at scoop shops.
Is ordering from S&S expensive? Of course, but the price per pint (without including shipping) is fair (looking at competitors, cost of sourcing, research, etc.) and I'm guessing that the shipping deal they have is about as good as it can get for someone their size.
Does that mean that it's right for everyone? No. But if you are a fan of ice cream then a) you give high importance to consuming great versions of this item and b) can appreciate the difference between lower and higher quality offerings. To someone who doesn't meet these criteria, they'd rather go out and spend the ~$20 per pint on a dish at an "average" restaurant.
Hey i rather spend my money on ice cream, then be a typical american who blows 20$ a day in cigs and booze..

Graeters Blueberry Pie is back!

Should be popping in my local grocery stores soon too. Last few years they shipped them out to supermarkets not just online or in scoop shops only.
I thought it was decent at best. I would give it a B- grade. The base was good mix-ins of blueberries and graham crackers were lackluster for graeters. Maybe I got a bad pint. I got double the amount of graham cracker in my S'mores.
Graeters Blueberry Pie is back!
I hope that they have the sense to put those blueberries in some kind of candied/pie filling form.
If it's straight up fresh blueberries, they'll be icy as it always happens with unadulterated fruit.
When I had Elena Blueberry they were not icy, have you ever had it? its a decent flavor. I personally think a lot of the other flavors on the line are better.
Not had it but have had lots of experience with fresh fruit in ice cream. Strawberries are the most notorious for getting icy (high water content vs. other fruits such as bananas possibly).
This issue is...one of the many...reasons I can't stand B&J's Straw Cheesecake pint.
