Out of the loop

Been on the shelf for over 2 years due to injury. Jumping back in. I have some whey isolate. What are some suggestions for other supps?

SNS has about every staple you could ever dream of. From Creatine to Agmantine to Noopept to Joint Support XT. X-Gels have been around forever and are still one of the best additions to a natty stack.

As far as what's changed in the past two years...
Olympus Labs has a revamped lineup with top notch products
PES is reforumalsting their products as well
EvoMuse rarely gets the love it deserves as one of the most innovative supp companies that consistently puts out solid products at amazing prices.
Performax Labs is doing some nice things too. They're dropping a new preworkout that has a nice profile. SlinMax is probably one of the best profile GDA.
Chaos and Pain merits a look if you like high stim preworkouts.
USP Labs has two new preworkouts out - a stim free and the best pump product on the market currently (watermelon limeaid is absolutely delicious too). They're formulating a game changing Multi-V, too

There's more but that's all that's on the top of my head

If you're just getting back into the swing of things, stick with your staples for now.

Orange Traid for a multi-vitamin
Oxi-Omega for fish oil
You have your protein covered

CreMax XT would be good for a creatine choice. You'll get your full dose of creatine in addition to other ergogenic ingredients to help with performance, recovery and even body composition. Betanine at 2.5 grams is great for all of those things and that is the serving in CreMax XT.

You could also go with a basic creatine monohydrate supplement, but you will get a little more bang out of a creatine product like CreMax XT. It tastes great as well.

Not trying to call you out or discredit you or anything like that, because I agree with 99.9% of what you said, but will never touch USP Labs again. With all that has come to light. They have done really shady and terrible things in the past. Not that they are bad anymore(IDK tho as I don't look into them at all any more).

But op his post is great. Woody really knows his stuff from what I have seen.

Welllllll.... Woody pretty much summed up everything that's been going on in the supplement world recently, haha. I would definitely suggest taking a look at the Olympus product line, as well as Chaos and Pain, SNS, and Performax.

The newest supplement category that's been surfacing in the last few years are every day staple ergogenic blends. They include creatine, electrolytes, and other quality staple supplements that are good to use on a daily basis to improve performance and recovery. The most talked about products in this category are probably PES Ergonine, Performax Labs CreMax XT, and Olympus Labs Tr1umph. All three have their own different specialty, but all of them are great staple supplements that would make for a great starting if you're getting back into the swing of lifting after an injury.

Fishoil 2-3G EPA/DHA oximega by CL

Performance and endurance wise :
PES ergonine , scivation Xtend perform

Joint wise: scivation Flexatril , bulk cissus or elastamine

Stim pre: conqu3r by OL, white Rapids by CL, AEN steel edge, meso morph

Non stim pre: high volume by PES , OL conqu3r stim free , CL white pump,

Thanks for the replies. I guess just mostly pre/post workout stuff. Bcaa, creatine, etc. I need to lose about 40lbs, so, possibly stim free cutting supps as well.

Tons of great product advice in here for sure.

Ergonine by PES/Tr1umph by OL/Cremax by Performax, one of those is probably something I could recommend to anyone as a staple as well as Endur3 by OL. If you would like to run add something else I would look into Follidrone 2.0 by BLR or X-Gels by sns. If you wish to look into something with test boosting properties Test1fy by OL or Alphamax by Performax are both complete and well rounded products where Test1fy would likely be more effective during a bulk and Alphamax during cutting.

Best Pre-workout(s):

Olympus Labs:
CU stim
CU stim free

Mesomorph is STRONG but a goodie as you'll see it recommended on the forum a lot.

Cutting:

For a Stim Fat burner Ign1te is one heck of a formula and lasts most a long time due to its potency.
I really like Ep1c + Strength Unleashed to shred up when I'm cutting or in a recomp
Endur3 is also a nice addition for maintaining an anabolic state while cutting cals

SNS has some good staples like: GTE (green tea extract), caffeine pills, etc to help cut up on a budget

Strong.

You gotta look at HiTech..they're buying up everybody..LG, APS, Formutech, ALR, IForce, Gaspari..

I would definitely wait until you are back in the loop of working out before using some supplements.
However, some products like creatine, taurine, Beta alanine, and other health supps would be fine to start right now. I just don't think that you should go straight for test boosters / fat burners / anabolics until you are back in full swing (which you may be!)

For the staple supps I would take a look at:
CreMax Xt which provides you with your daily creatine dosage, TMG / betaine which has shown a lot of positive health benefits, along with taurine and an electrolyte complex that makes a great thing to drink pre/intra/post to replace lost fuilds or prepare your body for the upcoming exhaustion.
ErgoNine another great product that provides creatine, betaine, and other things as well as ferulic acid
SNS Staple line which makes single ingredients in bulk (flavored and unflavored) so that you can tailor your own things and dosages

In case you're on the mobile app and can't see my sig, I'm a Controlled Labs rep. I am a big fan of our multivitamin/joint supplement Orange Triad, as well as our Oxi-Mega Fish Oil. Also a very big proponent of our White Rapids preworkout and Purple Wraath intra-workout aminos, as well as Green Mag creatine/betaine mix.

PES is a brand that has always impressed me with their quality, and USPLabs has been making some great (and very tasty) stuff as of late.

Lots of new prohormone options popping up now, although if I had to pick a single brand to point you towards without hesitation I'd have to say OL UK. They have been standing by their products' purity with testing since the beginning and their pricing is aggressive.

BLR's Viron is the best Longjack supplement I've ever used based on feel. Worth your time, truly.

If possible I would recommend not adding a preworkout off the get go. I think people become a little to reliant on pre workouts and dont learn to train without them. I would recommend adding it when you are deeper in your cut and energy levels start to take a hit.

Im a big OL fan. They have expanded their line quite a bit and have a number of really effective staples.

Ep1c Unleashed, Endur3(BCAA's and then some) and Triumph(has creatine but it has SO MUCH more) will really help with cutting IMO. Ep1c is the most versatile supplement I use. It increases my overall endurance which allows for more reps and sets. This translates to either more strength gains or more fat loss depending on my programming.

Really REALLY agree with you on all accounts.

Your caloric deficit will get 9x% of that 40lbs off. Then I'd use the most proven Ephedrine, Caffeine, and Yohimbine for the rest. I'd get some bulk HMB-CA to add to the Creatine, Beta Alanine, and Betaine (Ergonine or Triumph are convenient, but bulk with Crystal Light is super cheap since you get a years worth of dosing if you buy Kilos). Warehouse stores sell good quality staples as well.

I wouldn't run much the first few months. Muscle memory will be great. Just get on some creatine, caffein, fish oil, ect.

When you are ready to recomp/do a more advance cycle, my vote goes to an x gel + AlphaMax XT stack.

You could do much worse than this advice.

Is the OG Ep1c still around?
USP still going hard in the PWO game huh?

I'm not sure if it is but why would want it when Ep1c unleashed is so much better

I'll have to read further about the new one.
In my eyes I like to keep it simple and that's what the OG version did.

The new version is just -(-)epi with phytofused(which is OLs absorption enhancement)

Thanks. May have to give a bottle a try.
Was the OG Ep1c really that poor in absorption?

All first gen -(-)epi products were just straight, and there are some studies showing peak plasma levels over time. IIRC it wasn't horrible - 250mg stayed above baseline for ~4/6 hrs???. Then OL said something like "Hey, Curcumin absorption sucks too, lets do with epi, what they did with Meriva!" and they made Ep1c Unleashed.
