DMA's Never Satisfied Training Log

I'm interested in the occlusion method but people at my gym would be eyeballing me.
"Old dude cutting his circulation off, working out with his blue-purple arms...."

Brain got seriously involved today!! Took no sleep aids, not even melatonin just so I'd be clear headed. And surprisingly slept ok.

Did some BFR training on both biceps and triceps and boy does it feel great. Followed BeastFitness 's protocol of 30-45 second rests bent over at the waist with arms hanging to keep the blood in the arms.

25's x 20
35's x 18
45's x 16
55's x 12

EZ Bar Curls:

What's the theory behind occlusion training or is there evidence backing it? I've been thinking about trying it out but its seems sketchy lol.

Amazon. These ones right here:

Wow I went out there to get these and ended up buying a push pull prowler type sled, a new harder heavy duty roller, a massage stick and some Voodoo floss bands then totally forgot to order these!!!

Haha! You are too intense brother! Not supposed to cut the blood supply completely off, just make it harder to empty the muscle of blood.

It is definitely scientific fact. That article Daniel posted up explains it well. I remember reading it before.

MrKleen73 mentioned BFR training to me a couple of months ago and it looked interesting. Thanks for reminding me! I just purchased 3 bands for $8 with free shipping!

If you want a cheaper option to try out, do a search for "quick tourniquet" on Amazon. They have options available for as low as $2-3 per strap. There are some differences though. The link Dan posted - the straps are 31" and rigid. Most medical tourniquet straps (that I've seen) are slightly flexible (which I like) and in the range of 17-18". Mine were 18.1" long and they should work great for biceps/triceps, calves and forearms. You would need bigger ones for legs.

Think I need to try this to help my stubborn @ss arms to grow.

you could also use Sparta Nutrition's product called Mass- a revolutionary way to increase mass and gains.

Sparta Nutrition's Mass, because its not fun being puny

If an arm workout doesn't have you screaming with pain in the inside then we have to find out why. There are a lot of shortcuts to the pain zone too, doesn't always take a ton of volume but volume has it's uses too. Pain is the goal.

Layne Norton is also a big advocate of Occlusion training, that is where I learned it from. Been hitting my arms with more volume and some BFR and it has made a difference for sure.

First few signs of Epistane showing up. A bit of fullness and hardening. Definite vascularity that comes with a bit of a BP spike. And slept like garbage with a racing heart rate. Yay!!

Solid session this morning. Sweat poured like a mofo even through my hat. You know you're working when the bill of your hat is leaking like a faucet.

135 x 10
185 x 10
225 x 10

Not that I can't get this a couple times, I just got below the point of no return and had to drop it. Just called squats for the day.

Me too, even though my arms are my most dominant part.

You can never have too much biceps though lol
I have actually seen someone with too much biceps. one of the physique guys at my show had these massive biceps, his triceps were normal size for the rest of his body but his biceps were so big it looked REALLY odd. Don't get me wrong we kept having him flex them to see them but it looked really out of place.

Hmmm 18.1, I assume that is the unstretched length? If so I could use those for a little bit for my arms. They hit 18.5 with a good pump.
Hell the 31 inch though I could use those for both arms and legs. I don't have anywhere near a 31 inch thigh!

Awww screw it, I am going old school.

I will take 2 old ties and put slipknots in them and use them. I work out at home no one will see. Plus they are soft and silky can't hurt the skin. :) Sounds funny but I might try that I have old ties I will never wear. Then I can play dress up while I workout.

You're not doing Epistane are you I am thinking you mean Epi-andro which converts to DHT.

Yes, the 18.1" is the static measurement. I'm guessing it gets to 20+ when it is stretched. I will definitely report back when I get mine. My arms are just a bit smaller than yours but that's measuring at the peak. From my understanding, the band would be placed higher up on the arm towards where the bicep and delt meet. I'm pretty lean in my arms so there is a noticeable size difference between peak and off peak. Your 18.5 with a pump may only be 16.5 off-peak...

The ties might work in a pinch. I can picture it now though, Kleen's wife comes home to find him standing in the garage holding a pair of dumbells, with ties around his arms and legs, and a loose one around his neck to complete the look. Lol.

You forgot the one on his dong... "Honey, I've been waiting for you"

I feel like the core is not just losing fat but taking on a new shape. This is at the end of the day, full, after dinner. There is a hardness coming on and the skin is tightening. And I can already see some glycogen retention in the arms and delts. This is gonna be sweet. Also first time I've taken a whole ml of test in quite a while. Glute is like whoa...

Yes you will notice that as the skin thins. It's cool how much your abs will just pop when you get lower and lower. They just take over your whole mid section.

Yeah that sounds about right on the off peak measurement.

My wife would honestly come in see me, laugh, then walk out shaking her head.

Looking good Daniel, that visceral fat is starting to burn off more. That is when the waste begins to really take a new shape, gets much smaller and the lines between the abs get deeper.

Dude those are my damn cutting goals. Looking ****ing ripped man

That was one heck of a workout! Plus I'm digging that pre stack.

I haven't taken niacin in a long time. Forgot how good that flush is for a bit of pump. This was the first time I had ever combined it with a pre that had beta alanine in it, a double dose at that. So the tingles were intense but in a good way. Not uncomfortable by any means.

And well, 200 Hup A was a great addition

I've been interested in picking up some more single ingredient nootropics to play around with. I've got noopept and elix1r, but I've been meaning to pick up some of the racetams as well. Will probably grab some hup A on the next go round.

Interested in that Elix1r myself

So I decided to get a little more structured with my workouts instead of just random splits. This set-up worked really well for me before and keeps me entertained enough to not get bored. It goes:

Push Power
Pull Hyper
Legs Power
Push Hyper
Pull Power
Legs Hyper

6 workouts. I will still go 5 days (Mon-Fri) and just keep going in this order.

Slept really good all weekend. With the help of some sleep aids and BP meds, but gotta do what ya gotta do. Ordered some Hawthorne Berry and Taurine from an herbal website. Not going to rely on Walmart's shiitty pharmacy products anymore. Kind of creating my own cycle support through single ingredients. Cialis should also land this week. Looking to avoid the BP meds if I can control it through other means, even though Cialis isn't natural or anything. But toying with BP meds when not prescribed for you and monitored is not a joke and I don't recommend it. Hoping the HB, Niacin, Taurine, Aspirin and Cialis will aid in healthy cardiovascular function while running this Epistane and eventually the Tren, Mast and Winny.

Felt good to focus on mostly heavy sets.

I feel like nobody else love the decline hs like I do! That's the best squeeze I get on any machine

The incline and decline hammer strength machines are easily my favorite chest exercises. I can focus more on squeezing, instead of steadying dumbells and things like that.

I agree, fantastic machines. I like to use them to touch up at the end of my workout and get those last sweet contractions in.
