Smith_69 Quest for 210 with Spartan Mass ~Sponsored Log, Sparta Nutrition~

So you are finding you are feeling Mass already? How many days have you been on it so far?

muscles feel nice and tight. appetite was increased today and this is day 4.

i just ate a 14" Jersey mikes roast beef w/ cheese - 3 glasses of water and 2 danon oikos yogurts and still hungry lol

Cool. I haven't experienced any increases in hunger yet (mind you only day two). I also never experienced the increase in hunger while on MK-677 like many report. I guess I will see in the next few days about the hunger changes.

Pizza time?

Are you accusing me of having had 4 slices of pizza for lunch today? I'll have you know I had some steamed veggies and stuffed cabbage rolls with it!

Oh, wait a miunte. You were just asking a general question. It seems I've over-played my hand and exposed myself....

Awwwww fuk bye
No homo

Aww, geez sorry mate, didn't mean to out...I mean put you on the spot like that. Hang around, it wouldn't be the same without you! :fingersx:

Good call about calories. I find when the cleaner the weight I add the easier it is to keep as I don't have to get caught up having to lose a bunch of fat down the road. It's about what body type you are though and insulin sensitivity. Another thing I avoid is long surplus calorie periods or long depleted calories. Diet should be periodized just like training. The body adjusts and diet changes are necessary. I think this is a good idea for most people. While on cycle and into PCT will be the best time for a surplus and then maybe a slow decrease into bridge where you can go into recomp. Just thinking out loud :)

Day 5-

so as I mentioned, I got back the leg game and at first the thought did cross my mind, "what if my hamstring rips or gets pulled again?" So, I made my mind up, that was going to be the last time I was going to worry about it. If it happens, it happens. It was good to do legs again. Feeling that shake and tremble running up and down the legs.

After a few warm-ups I was on the smith machine, deep down and hold with the push right up
2x 135 for 10 reps
2x 155 for 8 reps

hammer strength iso leg lifts- independent
2x 45 10 reps
2x 65 8 reps
1x 75 6 reps

hammer strength iso hamstring curls (this was the true test)
1x 35 10 reps
1x45 10 reps
2x 65 10 reps

I took about 1-2 min in between each set and stretched for the last 2 escercises- legs felt pretty good, tight, shaking etc.
treadmill for 8 min at mid pace walk

Back-
Cable rows 2 sets of warm using the pyramid-triangle handle up then
175 x 10 ; 205 x 10; 235 x 10 250 x 8 - full rows, Arnold style (watch Pumping Iron)

iso lat (hammer strength pull down)
2 x 90 15 reps
1x 135 10 reps
1x 180 8 reps - 2 sets

Bent over db side raises for rear dealt
4x 30 10 reps

Floor T bar
1 x 75 12 reps
2 x 125 10 reps
1x 150 8 reps
1 x 175 8 reps

The pumps for both legs and back were incredible. Little more aggression again today, focused and hit it hard. Im spent! Staying hungry and eating during the day, I would say the same as yesterday. Weights didn't feel that heavy today, kept wanting to add more on. Was a little harder today since I normally do 1 body part, so adding the legs, was a good challenge. The rest of the week will be as well.

Wgt is now 202
No headaches, stomach aches or any other issues
great night sleep last night- in bed and sleeping by 10:15 last night and woke up at 6:22 refreshed.

Loving this so far, brother.

I'm running the Spartan Lean and I've been on for about 1.5 weeks now and I can say that the pumps are incredible, strength is increasing - I just broke my own PR on lat pull downs, and I'm shredding body fat like a mother******.

All around, I feel more active, stronger, leaner, vascular, and I have the most surreal pumps.

Wicked workout!!! Hope the hammy gets better and stays good, I've delt with that years ago till finally left. I need to try out floor tbar rows.

tell you this much, doing bar pulls and floor t bar- I was limiting myself- anything over 230 on the bar or close to 200 on the bar, I felt the hams starting to give- it was either settle and stay or man up and move on-

Dinner. No pizza here Toren

2 caps a day. I was debating bumping it up but I hold true to the testament that each bottle is a full month supply so I wanted to run it myself as so.

I must say it is, once again, awesome!

Sorry to probe you, but what's your body weight? Surprised it's treating you so well at 220mg!

I'm hanging out with Toren. His diet sounds more fun!

BTW, how many lbs have you packed on so far and how much do you reckon is lbm?

202 at the moment so since last wednesday'ish 2 lbs with moderate diet- moderate, eating much more past few days. but not eating crap. will weigh again on wednesday- i have to adjust here because today was a good challenge- doing 2 body parts when i normally do 1.

ive noticed just the same... huge surplus just leads to a big fat mess that requires too much/strict/long of a diet to maintain muscle well

Hammies are scary mate, for the Love of God stretch those bad boys. I mean streeetch, get some yoga happening &/or assisted stretches. I would avoid straight legged deads too, if you're tight. Sparta will be useless if you get a sudden twang!
Another training option that may help is a 2 day split - light weight, high rep, full ROM one day (not to fatigue so much, more stretching incl back, some cardio & volume) then run heavy, low rep with pause at bottom on your second day after a good cycle warmup (3 or 4 days later). Worked for me & got PBs doing it that way with better results on heavy days than any other method tried previously, or since.
Just a thought :wink1:
