Squats AND Deads the same day... I would need a defibrillator nearby.
Lot of benching here! 11 lbs up in 30 days sounds good.
IMHO the off-days are as important as the on-days, especially for the CNS.
Sciatic nerve pain is one of the worst things in life, had it once when younger. Couldn't walk, sleep, laugh or sneeze. Hopefully you overcome this sh*t!
I have awful sciatic nerve pain.
My vertebrae in my lower spine are pinching on one side & pushing the disk out the other end which in turn is poking at my sciatic nerve. Mine is in the right cheek as well.
About 2 months ago it hit so hard after leg day/heavy squats that I literally couldn't even walk for nearly three weeks.
I had to crawl to the shower & shower on my knees. Cook sitting or laying down in the middle of the kitchen. If I stood for more than 20 seconds I would be in so much pain I'd faint.
& it was in the middle of logging hyper max XT. you can read about it if you check out the logs.
Absolute worst pain I've ever experienced in my life & I thought it would never end.
I went to a chiropractor and they had this treatment called a "combo"
Which is a ultrasound wand & tens unit all in one.
No lie. After 2 weeks of suffering and literally crying the whole way while driving to the place to get the treatment done I practically skipped out of there when it was over.
The pain went from a 10 to a 2 immediately. I was in shock at how effective it was. No amount of pain killers did what this did.
I still can't bend over & touch my knees. The area seems really tight still even months later with regular stretching. But I can walk again.
Moral of the story, if yours gets sever check around to local physical therapists & see if they offer that sorta treatment. It's seriously a Mericle. & only costs 50$ with out health insurance.
I won't lie I haven't done legs since that day. I'm terrified that it will happen again if I do. And I simply can't afford for it to happen again financially or physically.
I can no longer use machines for legs either. I cant sit up & keep my legs straight for say a leg curl machine.
The highest I can sit up while on my butt with my legs straight out in front of me, is up on my elbows.
At the age of 25 my mobility is completely shot.
So I'm permanently an upper body bro, while my legs wither away.
I hate it because they were just starting to get strong. I pr'd that day at 275lb squat X 2.
FML.
Thanks. My 425 was sloppy as **** and I wound up just muscling it up. Bad for the body but the aggression got the better of me. I have to find a way to keep my ass down which would provide a better drive through the floor.
Your recent back workout looked intense with you time under tension. Those 3 second holds must be killer.
Day 39: OFF
I took the day off and rested today. My right forearm and both of my elbows are really crushing me. They are hurting like a motherfcuker. I will taking joint help tomorrow and see if I can alleviate some of this pain. I can't even lean on my right one without pain.
hairygrandpa I looked into the Armaid and found one for about 100 bucks. Does that thing really work? It looks like some medieval torture device. I guess it is the same concept of a foam roller but I don't know if it is going to make my elbows better.
When did this kick in for you?
I am two days shy of three weeks on Halo, 75mg per day except first 5 days which were 50mg...not sure I am seeing anything as yet.
Edit: weight seems to be up about 2.5lbs but weight tends to fluctuate from over the course of week...heaviest Monday morning, lightest Saturday morning...tends to keep cals around 2250 Mon-Friday, up them to about 4000 Sat-Sun.
By week two I had an extra rep in sets here and there. By the end of the third week it came on strong especially the strength increases. Your weight gain whether on or off cycle is primarily influenced by diet.
At least by the end of week 3 you should definitely start to see it "kick in". I have ran three previous halo runs and they all have kicked in by week 3.
