So I always thought something like oats/brown rice with some protein an hour to hour 1/2 before exercise was best. Following with fast digesting carbs with protein soon after workout to replenish and force all the nutrients back in to the muscle.
I've been reading more recently people also drink fast digesting carbs pre and intra workout. Is this more for better energy during the workout?
So does it really matter or is it just what works for you?
