Douchebags at the gym...

When the employees are f*cking your concentration by vacuuming right next to you while your trying to hit heavy singles.

No kidding. I mean, right under you.

Ours wears a backpack with a 300' extension cord. I get tempted to just yank that cord sometimes.

At least they clean.

Mine are so damn lazy that I'm not even sure they bother vacuuming anymore, it certainly doesn't look like it most of the time. I sprayed the filthy, mouldy looking THX strap grips with disinfectant the other day, wiped the overspray off the timber floor after going through 3 rooms to find paper towel ("we'll reorder later") & it came up black. I'm oh so close to calling health & safety on them before someone gets sick or injured (zero maintenance, "just write down equipment failures"). One guy reckons he picked up a serious infection from there already.

And yes, I'm considering switching gyms if they don't pick up their act & show their members a bit of respect. They sure are happy to take the cash from the influx of New Year newbies though.
 
It's been a week since anyone posted in this thread. I believe it's because now, all the annoying resolutioners have left the gyms and we can all take a breather.

My gym is pretty much dead these days. There was probably less than 10 people last night. I just figured that nobody wanted to train on a Friday night.
 
My gym was getting remodeled so everyone from my gym went to the gym the next town over. No joke there must have been well over 150 people. 15 guys rotating in on bench press. It was so pathetic. I grabbed the first open barbell and sprinted to an isolated area

The boca east location gym I go to has been named one of the most crowded gyms in Florida. This was a Thursday night at 9 pm. This is the night I had a migraine at the gym. Im positive it was from the stress of so many people. Both of these gyms are usually packed but since the boca one was getting remodeled the other LA FITNESS became a mad house. If I had my phone I would have taken a pic. I've never seen anything like it

I can't stand that ****. It's so distracting. Of course the extension cord is 100' long and it's like 20 people are playing jump rope when she rounds the leg curl machine.

The university gym here at the Rec is like that. I literally can't go and get anything done unless I go in the morning. And it's a huge facility.
Luckily I work at a local gym and get a free membership there. Just almost nothing beats the convenience of being the only gym within walking distance. Also helps that my tuition pays for a membership there so I feel like obliged to go there.
 
The fcuker who is working on shoulders in the squat rack but decides to cut into my leg extension just cuz he sees me working them.

This is an instance where the cleaners need a short training session to explain what should be common sense. Reminds me of a TV show I saw once (might have been the Simpsons) where a surgeon was trying to perform open heart surgery and a cleaning lady was vacuuming around him. She lifted each foot and the surgeon kept saying "Oops, sorry." At one point, she lifted the patient.

I started seeing this homeless guy in a wheelchair on my way to work and his sign doesn't really say anything except S S.
The first time I saw him, I felt really bad and checked to see if I had some change but then the lady in front of me handed him some money and he got out of his wheelchair to grab it. I was like . Ugh, why do people lie?!?

I used to work for a news station and I did a story on that. "Panhandlers Secret" is what we called it. I was getting hidden camera footage on them for days, caught them getting into a car, their car, and driving to their respectable home. Needless to say they didn't want to talk to us when we showed up at their house. Never saw them out there again

I live in a pretty nice neighborhood and saw a family panhandling by the Target. They were dressed nice and everything! I think panhandling in a nice area is more difficult because people don't want to support stuff like that in their neighborhood.

Haha, that **** cracks me up. There's definitely a fine line between appropriate supersetting (such as your example given) and people who are dicks about it.

You know, the ones megasetting all types of curls with every weight, bench, and band in the whole free weight area. The same ones that use the best squat rack and rubber plates to do power curls and then leave **** all ****ed up.

I try to keep everything close when I superset. I can't stand people who go from one end of the gym to the other.

There's a new couple here and it's definitely the blind leading the blind. Tonight he has her sliding across the gym on all fours and they put a jump box inside a squat rack, put a mat on top of the box and did hip thrusts. I usually just use a bench when I do hip thrusts. Oh well, what works for some may not work for others. :)
 
My gyms done being remodeled and I was there last night. Really happy to be back to my original gym with all the equipment I'm used to having. Last night was very strange. Maybe it's because it was Valentine's Day but there wasn't one single douchebag in the gym. I was shocked I almost got weak at the knees and shed a few tears (not on clomid). Just genuine happiness

I've been at my job for almost a year and was forced to learn everything quickly. There was no excuse.
There's a chick who's been here for 7 months and still doesn't know half of what I know and isn't obligated to know it because they don't want to overwhelm her. The a**hole/dbag in me ignores her when she ask a question because she should already know how to do it!!!! Oh and when I do give her an answer it's... Right, right, I know it.

Maybe that's not her fault because she's treated differently management.

It's similar at my job, and I constantly have to remind myself that I'm expected more of based on performance.

Yes, I completely agree. My boss will not hold her accountable for anything or teach her anything. When she does something wrong, we're all in trouble. I've had to tell her to start taking initiative and do things.

We have totally different titles and for her to not know her job duties is both her fault and management's fault.
 
My ex was dating a Boca Firefighter who told her this story. This is not a fabrication. My ex knows nothing about steroids she believed this story and has no reason to make it up. He told her that something happened at the fire department that gave every single guy in his division low T so they are all prescribed testosterone from an anti aging clinic. All of them. Like 12 guys or however many there are. I laughed so hard. Steroid use in law enforcement is such a problem

Not trying to derail this thread too much here, but I know a couple public safety folks on TRT as well. Why is steroid use a problem for them? You don't want public servants to be stronger or have more confidence? Or hell just look better in uniform?

Not being a dick, just would like your opinion is all.

and when bad guys act bad, they call in the "team" the dudes who you don't want to f^ck with. yet the bad guys seem to not give a crap, until they are slammed up against the wall, thrown to the ground and screaming before their mouth is crammed shut .

Fire fighters are not law enforcement, btw.

At least anti aging clinics prescribe the test according to the law. I wish I could find a clinic local to me.
 
Oh you guys are too ****ing funny. To think for a second that anyone who uses TRT for the purpose of bodybuilding sticks to only TRT. I've never met a guy on TRT who lifts seriously who doesn't have an assortment of very illegal UGL gear. So you guys think it's ok for law enforcement to cheat the system? Lol I winds of you'll feel the same way when a cop who is clearly on steroids pulls you over and slaps you with a 300 dollar ticket because he has to meet a quota. It really is pathetic. It's even more pathetic that without drugs bodybuilding wouldn't even exist. It's a loser industry filled with even bigger insecure losers.

You must be really ****ing dumb if you think I don't know fire fighters aren't law enforcement. I thought you'd atleast be smart enough to know that there is a steroid epidemic among law enforcement. Guess with some people you have to spell everything out for them huh? Whenever steroids are mentioned the same guys are here to defend it in every single situation. Maybe you have a drug problem

A blanket statement like that with that type of attitude towards Police Officers might lead me to believe, you are the type of person who gives an Officer a hard time. So instead of a warning, you are going to get the 300.00 dollar ticket. Not because of a quota, its because YOU broke the law. Quota's are illegal, so when you can publish a statement from the Chief of Police which was approved by the mayor, let me know.

Whenever tickets are given to those who brake the law, its people like you who accuse the Police of every wrong doing.

In todays society, its people like you who cant take responsibility
