In terms of NO supplements what worked best for me in the past are:
1. Nitrix from BSN (much better than NO-Xplode in terms of vascularity)
2. Vanadyl Sulfate + Chromium + L-Glycine + AAKG (I would play with Vanadyl Sulfate dosage based on body weight - the effect of VS is quick so watch out as you experiment with this)
3. Bulldozer XL5000 from NRG (vascularity + pump) currently I am on this for my pre/intra/post workout since May.
4. Dehydration - sadly this works especially before a show. The thinner you skin the more vascular you will look. Tanning helps too.
I also heard of a product, more like an oil that people would rub and use to enhance vascularity for shows. Can't remember the name or brand.
Hot Stuff is one of the brands... doesn't work very well, and nothing will trump condition as the primary catalyst to realize vascularity. Many people in their early attempts at playing catch up will engage in methods to impart greater overall fullness and presentation - but being ready and in prime condition, again, is the only tried and true management technique to ensure a successful contest showing.
An Australian-based company, with a multi-product "supplement" line makes an injection based product that enhances oxygen consumption and in turn purports to make vascular tissue more obvious. I have tried this product, and saw absolutely nothing from its administration, following directions to the letter, and in optimal shape and body fat levels.
Dehydration will actually cause vasoconstriction, because diuretics or self-controlled deprivation of water intake, is not tissue specific, and will bring about a full body deflation of pump and render contraction utterly impossible. Layne Norton authored a details introspective into this dogma that many competitive athletes in the infancy of their stage outings will adopt without proper research - and ultimately wonder why their eventual result was far less than stellar and wrought an Ethiopian starved physique under the spotlights, opposed to the statuesque iconic figure there were hoping to show friends, family, and judges.
As I, along with many other seasoned and educated (by misfortune of mistakes, and subsequent learning) athletes have realized via trial, error, and applied science - is that carbohydrate/glycogen manipulation in concert with controlled and moderate fluid intake restriction is the best means of assuring a favorable outcome,be it for a contest, photo shoot, or just a day at the beach surrounded by women.
Vacularity is an enigma... and aside from a handful of the offered AAS constituents penned throughout this thread, it is governed by genetics overwhelmingly.
