It wasn't until I started benching the right way that I was able to comfortably break 200 by myself. Just keep doing what you know works--you're making awesome progress. ? Besides, who needs personal trainer school when you have all of us here at AM?

You lock your back into the pad lower the weight with you lats and explode up. For me it engages the most fibers. And prevents me from sliding off the bench

Trained with my friend and he spotted me while I was benching.

Him: Why is your back arched?
Me: Cuz I learned how to bench from powerlifters.
Him: Well, you're doing it wrong because you're not engaging your abs.
Me: Well, I'm engaging my traps, tris, keeping my core tight, and driving with my feet.
Him: Ahhh... I've never seen that before.

Anyway, this is why I don't train with people. I don't mind the critique but when it's just sh*t talking, I don't want to hear it.

I did hit a 145x1 bench PR but failed at the 150. I was a bit too anxious.

Thank you, everyone. I have to remember that my goals are not his and his are not mine. At the end of the day, I may not bench as heavy but I sure as hell will beat him in every other lift.

He doesn't lift heavy because he's afraid to lose his form. Well, sometimes you just have to say, "fcuk my form, just lift this heavy a** b*tch!" ??

Yesterday was a rest day. Even took a quick cat nap at lunch yesterday and an hour nap today. My thyroid meds came in on Tuesday so I am still working to get my levels back up. Between not being able to get warm and the fatigue. It's been a little rough. Just thankful they came this week.

It's all about form with him. He doesn't want to lift heavy because he doesn't want to break his form.

No gym tonight, I had to go get my p*rnstar nails done. Plus I had tons of homework. My accounting class is killing me but I can't give up!

Second day of clean eating and my appetite has drastically decreased, as well as my cravings. I also gave up rice and bread for a while but kept the oatmeal. :)

TMI, but the human body is an amazing thing. One day! Just one day of eating clean and AF decides to show up. This shows how crappy my diet has been and how it has messed me up because I was late by 40 days.

I was under calories a bit tonight but it's ok since I didn't train. If I can get up early tomorrow, I'll double it up! ??
