Eat, train, rest. How ****in hard is it? This isn't brain surgery.

I see all this bro-science bull**** out there and its quite ****ing pathetic.

Eat, train, get proper rest and repeat. This isn't brain surgery. If you do these things and you don't grow then come to the ****ing conclusion that you were not blessed with good genetics. Then go to the gym and enjoy it for what it is, which is a healthy lifestyle. Don't continue to think you are going to be Jay Cutler or compete. There is nothing wrong with that and it doesn't make you a failure either. Let use Ronnie Coleman as a perfect example. Before bodybuilding he was a scholarship division 1 football middle linebacker. He was born as a genetic freak. Just like with any sport, some people really thought they were going to be a pro basketball or football player growing up and realized they didn't have the genetics for that either. So they instead enjoy getting together with friends on Sundays and throwing the ball around for a few hours because they love the sport.

Oh my, another one of your complaining about other people threads. You should try and contribute more to the board in other sections. By the way, this should really be in the general section like all of your threads. Maybe post in different sections and try and answer some questions.

Just explaining that bodybuilding is like any other sport. The higher the level the harder it is to achieve it. Just go out there, lift, eat, rest and accept who are you.

So...What?. Do you want an explanation for my opinion or am I not allowed to have a difference of opinion?. I'm sure there are others on this board that share my feelings. In fact I've talked with plenty on here that feel the same way.

sport: an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment

not really sure how it has anything to do with opinion, bodybuilding seems to fit into that definition pretty well

I agree. T-Bone must be into Crossfit.

It's just his opinion, he may enjoy bodybuilding but just not see it as a sport. Just as some cheerleaders see cheering as a sport and others don't. Same with golf, tiger woods would say its a sport but for Obama its just a hobby to keep him from doing his job..

I tried crossfit once and my balls warned me that if I wanted them to stick around I better not pull that shiit on them again.

oreo rice will save this thread

I think you just found the perfect postwork meal. It just may become a staple in my plan.

Nah, it doesn't really fit that too well. The physical exertion may occur but that's during training. That's not really happening when they go on stage for their beauty contest. Unless you count the "pose off" or fancy pants dancing. I guess you could call that entertainment, but no it's not a sport. It's far from a sport by any stretch of the imagination.

No one was saying the "Beauty contest" was a sport. But preparing for that beauty contest sure is.

LOL at everyone in this thread. Haters be a hatin! Everyone so concerned with everyone but themselves

Just eat some damn oreo rice and shut up, the lot of you :D

Next thing you know, Miss America and Miss Universe etc will be labelled a sport too lol

Exactly. Bodybuilding is pretty much the same thing, except bodybuilders shave all their hair(wait...females do that too)....and oil each other up and get tanned before prancing around on stage to their favorite song. Nope, that's no gay at all!.....And oh yeah, that's a sport!

I dunno if it's gay, definitely possibly metro. Girls like it when I manscape though, I've even had an ex bring me to her waxing place for a brazilian, definitely benefited from that! Most women into fitness, who I've met, prefer less hair on a guy.

Athletes train for a sport, but they do not call the training itself a sport, so I agree with you in the end. I don't think it's a sport in the traditional sense.

That's all I'm sayin really. Metro is just closet gay though really. Plus there is a difference between man scaping and shaving all body hair completely off. If you have a hairy back, have wife of GF shave it. If your chest is too damn hairy you can trim it. However, shaving everything completely down to nothing and getting a tan and all oiled up, is more than a bit effeminate.

I see what you're saying. Yeah I don't know if I'd be comfortable shaving off everything from the neck down. I also don't do spray tans.

I once shaved my inner thighs for a month, during the winter, but it was to apply a transdermal lol... I needed to rotate sites after a while and the upper legs are full of veins. One of the best for TD application.

Yes its true that the men who are considered metro have gf's who bring other women in the bedroom to share with them. Many of them do that.

Fcukin' lame...

posing isn't a physical activity and doesn't take skill? try posing for a half hour at a time and let me know how it works for you, posing the correct way and displaying your body to make it appear it's best isn't a learned skill?

lifting and cardio to get in shape isn't physical exertion?

and a bodybuilder doesn't compete against another for entertainment?

regardless of what you think about the tanning, the man thongs and all of that is irrelevant to the conversation of it being a sport

triple wtf....your out

Football is a sport. Body building I still believe is a beauty contest for men, minus the talent portion.

this should be included IMO. Would make it more entertaining. Wanna see a jacked dude in a thong do a ventriloquist bit

Porn is a sport now too.... woohoo!! Sport fcuking!!!

Posing in face down ass up for that long takes skill, as does swallowing a gallon of jizz, and it's all for entertainment!! Therefore, it's a sport, and a learned skill that takes years of training for.

Bodybuilding will never be a sport in the traditional sense of the word. People need to get over this. It will never be in the olympics nor considered a true sport.

by definition it's a sport, so what does the traditional sense of the word even mean? it fits the traditional description of the definition

who cares if it's in the Olympics, I'd argue some of the Olympic "sports" are just as fringe as bodybuilding is, so that's not a test on what is vs is not a sport

people need to release their own bias and realize, no matter what you "think" you are wrong, I used to say that baseball, golf, and hockey weren't sports but it was all in jest, arguing with the definition will end up in an L on your end everytime

It will forever be a beauty contest for men in my eyes, as T Bone was saying, very similar to Miss America, etc... I'm free to have any opinion I'd like to hold and it's a very common opinion.

you should write to Webster dictionary then and tell them their definition is wrong because it doesn't fit your opinion then

Comparing bodybuilding to baseball, golf, or hockey is absolutely ridiculous, especially stating that you thought none of these are sports. Reeeeeeediculous.

about as reediculous as your argument that bodybuilding is a beauty contest....see where I'm going with this? we don't have to go back and fourth, but some of the statements in this thread by you guys are head stratchers
