Feeling a little chunky after all the cookies and food I ate yesterday at my grandparents' house. It's cool, it was in the name of Christmas ;)
At least it fueled a good arm day today.
Didn't keep track of what I did, just followed along my friend's workout. Lots of supersets and high reps.

For those of you who do or have done PHAT, did you include the speed work on the hypertrophy days or no? I'm not sure how I feel about it and wanna know if I really should include it or not.

I included the speed work, but sometimes felt it didn't do a lot. Although I'm not a huge fan of PHAT.

Hmm okay. I may just have to try it out and see what works best for me.
 
Interested in your layout for PHAT, as you seem to train with high rep's.
I am considering PHAT again and looking into PHUL.

I switch the speed work out for volume work. I did the speed work for a good while but am seeing better results with the volume.

That's what I'll be doing (volume) on this cycle when I crank it up. Got good results last run, might as well try it again since I loved the volume!

This is exactly why I'm considering not doing the speed work and just doing a ridiculous amount of volume haha. The anabolic-induced pump is too incredible to pass up.

I mean for size I swear by high volume but also heavy ass weight is the only thing that makes me feel like I grow mass wise.

Agreed. That's why I'm gonna try out a PHAT style schedule so I can dedicate two days to killing some heavy weight then pump everything up

I did a combo of Vital1ty, Hydro3, and ATP Nutrition Perform Kinetics. I felt like my endurance was through the roof, I just got home and I'm not exhausted at all. Legs like jelly, but I'm not tired. Yeah buddy!

Do it bro! I added in a shoulder exercise because I really want to bring them up. Probably will include them in three workouts a week from now on, every other day.

Upper body power
Lower body power
Shoulders hypertrophy
Back hypertrophy
Legs hypertrophy
Chest hypertrophy

I think its good to throw in at the end of your routines or each group like say you just started your day and your doing squats, I would do 4-5 sets of 75-80% at 12-15 reps nice & controlled, then throw in 2 or 3 sets of a lot lighter weight and just burning out with the speed training, then move on to leg presses and do the same type of sets with that or you can even do the explosive reps on the end of your set, after 10 reps controlled do the last 2-5 reps explosively.., that is where ive seen the greatest benefits if that makes sense?

that's just like my routine, Ive always seen gains with it like that for 5-6 years now.. 3-4 sets of ssumo squats then close knees touching for 3-4 sets then usually leg press the same
