By the way, day 6 on cycle. No real affects from the drugs. Feeling a little more libido than normal. But that's about it. No strength. No fullness. No aggression as of now.
 
Yea I'll have to. They always look a little sloppy when I have a size up.

Morning workout is complete. I dropped the last 4 reps down to 385.

Now im desperately trying to up my calories for the day. Trying to get in 6000 by tonight just so I will have the fuel for this evenings workout.

How do you know you are really hitting those calorie numbers? BC that is a lot of food, clean or dirty.
 
I eat 4 pre made 1000 calorie meals per day plus a shake at night that's a little over 1000 calories. Normally I bring in 4800. However, when I started smolov, my weight started dropping pretty quick. So I bumped them up to around 5200. The other 800 is a simple smoothie king shake away or I'll grab some chipotle.
 
It's pretty clean. Mostly chicken, beans, rice, turkey burgers, etc. It's really not all that much food. For instance... 3 burgers is 1200 calories, 90g carbs and 111g protein. No big deal eating a meal like that 3-4 times a day, plus a shake.

Like most of us I'm sure he tracks his macros. Pretty easy to do regardless of calorie intake. My daily maintenance these days is roughly between 4800-5000. I just track every single meal carefully. Lots of great apps these days to do it with too.

I was nor being rude, I've seen many guys on here claim big cal numbers then come to find out its like 3000 cals tops.
 
I found that eating beans and rice to make a complete amino acid protein is a lot easier to consume/digest than meat. I've also been doing that a lot recently. A stew with beans, rice, broth and veggies will easily push 1000+ calories. Beans>rice for carbs/taste in my opinion.

I didn't think you were man. It was a legitimate question. I ask the same question to a lot of people. And like you found... they claim 3k+ and are really at about half that.

I didn't think he was being rude either. It's so easy to track macros but most simply don't want to put the extra small effort in sadly.

It's enough to make gains and add weight. But i will eat more with no issues. Give me a pack of oreos and I'll devour it lol. I'm not after aesthetics. Just power.

It didn't feel bad at all. So I went ahead and hit 265 5x3. 265 felt pretty easy and I definitely felt like I could have added more sets.

Not sure what was up with the endurance on bp today. Maybe it was mentality, the hot girl wearing yoga pants, or my star wars shirt. But from what I hear, it shouldn't be the drugs yet. But who knows. Other than that little endurance boost, I feel no affects.

Tomorrow I will be hunting. So I don't think I'll post anything training wise.

You and I could get along well lol. Yes I'm not worried about looking purely like a bodybuilder but I certainly track my macro, work hard, and refuse to just be a fat powerlifter. Guys like Dan Green, Kevin Oak, and Stan Efferding are proof you can look like you lift while truly pulling insane numbers on the platform.
 
I agree. Pete Rubish is really lean also. He used to be a fat ass. But now he is a lean 240 and stronger than he was when he was stacking tren and sdrol lol

No I don't think he is. I know he was on A LOT of gear. But maybe less now? Hell idk. I just know he isn't a fat ass like he was. More power to him. He is strong as ****. Wish I had some tren lol.
 
Yeah there's no way he's back to being totally natural. I think he's just scaled back. He was running high doses of tren and other anabolics.

Finished up with some accessory work after. Still am not noticing any affects of the drugs. 10 days on cycle now.

I told you it's not like taking dbol or something explosive and wet; think about it like guaranteed progress. When you look back you should see improved body comp and performance at the end. Eyes on the smolov prize!
 
Yea I'm not too worried about it. I've been making pretty good progress as it is. The main reason I want it to kick in is for recovery. There isn't much time for that in smolov. During the first mesocycle, I felt over trained at the end. Took 2 days off. Ate a bazillion calories. Took ambien and hibernate for about 13 hours straight. Seemed to cure that pretty quick.
 
Today was chest. Smolov called for 235 6x6. After warming up and hitting 225 for a couple warm up sets, I decided 235 wasn't enough. Ended up hitting

245 6x6 (smolov)
275 2x3

I'm not sure if this stuff is actually kicking in, or if it's a placebo effect at this point. However, my last couple chest days have felt very light. Even at 85% (275#) the reps were very smooth, and did not feel like a typical 85% lift. 85-90% is usually where things begin to grind a little.

I feel like this stuff is actually starting to kick in. Pump is better than normal and endurance is starting to increase in the squats.

Yeah it's more about enhancing recovery so you can keep showing up under the bar to get it done.

That would really test me; that is a lot of volume at that intensity for me on squat. I have much greater peak strength than muscular endurance though on squat. 385 is the biggest 5x5 I have done, so if you can manage 410 I'd say you have no excuse for missing 500 at the end of this.
 
It's rough. After the 3rd rep I'm smoked. The last two sets almost knocked me on my ass. Had to take the belt off and sit down. I was definitely seeing stars.

I'm doing that now. Dragged myself in yesterday after like 4 straight and my shoulder was freaking out at me to pack it up. Woke up with sinuses all flustered too. Sometimes the body just tells you to chill.

Gotta know when to push and when to rest to train another day sometimes.
 
That is EXACTLY my situation. My shoulder feels wonky and my sinuses are full of junk. I feel fine, but I know there is something brewing. So I've been bringing in more vitamin c and some natural remedies to keep it at bay.
 
Exactly. I always keep my vit D high at 5-10k iu per day as bloodwork always has it mid range on this still and I feel good on it. But like you said when something is brewing I go for 2-5 grams of Vit C a day and as many cups of fresh brewed green tea as I can get down. Those zinc gluconate tabs seem to help a lot but I always forget about them.
 
Woke up pretty early this morning and started my squat day.

Felt pretty good overall. Strength was there but the cardio is a different story. After I get under the weight, I take a huge breath and walk the weight out. This breath lasts me to the top of the first rep. After that, I take a breath at the top of each consecutive rep. Here recently I've noticed that it's kinda hard to get a deep breath in with the weight on my back. Any pointers?

After the workout, I felt pretty stellar. Wasn't worn out at all. Did some drop sets on the leg extension. Usually I amrap the stack (I beleive it's 200. Not sure) and drop the weight 2 plates at a time after 45 seconds rest. Today, however, that wasn't enough. I amraped the whole stack for 15 and did it again for 2 more sets. Then I started dropping the weight by the normal 2 plates. Muscle endurance is definitely up. As well as pump.

For more accessory work, I did some stiff RDL'S at

315 2x8
Muscle endurance with the RDL were also much higher than normal.

My sickness is pretty much over. Just have snot leaking from my face while squatting. Other than that, I feel 100%
I may actually hit chest later today. I have nothing better to do anyways. So why not?

Day 19 on cycle... it is working. Biggest things to note is muscle endurance and some pump.
Sides: tallywacker isn't working. I'm batting 0 for 3 in that department :( I'll probably order some tada (funniest name ever for a penis pill btw) later today.
 
With the breathing during squat, you have to get as many reps on that first breath as you can. You should be able to get two or three reps, which means you could hit a set of 5 on two or three breaths.

You'll get it, man. Its just discipline over cardio. You'll be winded as **** after your set, but you can hold your breath for ten, fifteen seconds. That's no biggie.
 
Yea I think I should be okay. Only time it becomes an issue are on these sets of 5 around the 85-90% range. Other than that I'm pretty good.

Have any of you guys ran a similar cycle? If so... what was your lethargy like? Past couple days I've been dragging ass. I wasn't sure if it was because I was a little bit sick or if it was the cycle. I hybernated for 12 hours straight last night and feel stellar today. So I'm assuming it was just the sinus crud I had going on.
 
Btw. Just ordered some tada. The place I normally get it was sold out. So I went with a different distributor. Hopefully it's not some bogus crap. Also went ahead and got another bottle of 20mg clomid because it was pretty cheap. And again... hope it's not bogus since I have no experience with the company
 
Fatigue is likely the sinus, as any time I've had sinus flair I have major fatigue. I'm a bit surprised at the ED but first thing I'd do is hit a bit of caber and see if that helps, or you could look at a nightly l-dopa supp for a milder approach. This all assuming estro isn't too low, which I'm assuming you have no reason to assume as such. Only time I got ED was from too much Letro and I was getting night sweats and creaky joints as well and was very dry.

Nevermind. Google-fu filled in the blanks. However, if I had high prolactin, wouldn't I also have lactation in the nips? (I dont)
 
Ah ok. Well, I already ordered the tada for the ed. Hopefully that works. I've never used caber before though
 
The tada is a fine purchase; fake it till you make it! And it will lower bp some while on it, which is a little bonus.

I have never lactated despite having bloods come back with high prolactin. Caber is often faked and a general rule is if you buy liquid it probably is. Tabs only. Prami is very easy to get real but it must be taken nightly for the desired effect, while Caber is so strong you can take part of a tab and it will work for often several days and you can just dose and forget about it, taking as desired. I'd almost compare it to a suicidal AI like Exem in that regard - dosing can be entirely sporadic, while Letro and Arimidex will rebound without a strict regiment.

Basically I like to use Caber, Exem and Nolva as my "let's try this" solution depending on the scenario. Bloods are the only way to get the whole picture but even that can't tell us things like This is the first 3 dates w this gal and you also are suffering from typical performance anxiety. But dosing a bit of caber pretty much never hurts lol
 
Got ya. Thanks for the info. Well, I don't have a source to get caber except from a peptide company. Which you say they are usually bunk. So I'll just use the tada for now. I'm sure after Pct and time off everything will be back to normal.

im definitely feeling the effects of the drugs. even after the squats, my energy in the gym was through the roof. im usually a pretty calm lifter. mentally i am thinking about ripping peoples heads off. but i never manifest this physically. i could probably get away with lifting at planet fitness without getting kicked out lol. however, the past couple training sessions, my aggression is noticeably higher and i feel like im pissed off. during my bench session, i felt like trying to break the bar and throwing it. it was a good feeling.
