If it tastes like this with a bit more of a White Chocolate/Vanilla flavour tone that would be perfect. I have never tried Andes specifically but I have tried similar and that is the type of Mint Chocolate that is amazing in my books.

A bunch of the guys I work with (it's volunteer) are very overweight so I get a lot of calendar jokes from them lol

place on a cookie sheet or even plate,
Crush a candy cane over the top,
Place in freezer 4+ hours

Do you use vanilla or plain GY? And do you have a preferred brand/product?

Just asking because I botched that pumpkin pecan pie recipe of yours and am still not sure where I messed up :/

What went wrong?

I used plain here, if you aren't a fan of plain GY either use vanilla or add splenda

Its an odd texture to have this, but i have a version not being frozen coming as well

White Chocolate Mint Cheesecake Topped Brownies!

Calories per slice: 58
8g protein, 4.5g carbs, 1g fat



Ingredients:
Brownie layer:
1 scoop Select Milk Chocolate Protein
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup Splenda (or other sweetener to match)
1 egg
2 eggwhites
1/3 cup unsweetened milk (i used almond)
1.5tsp baking powder

Cheesecake Layer:
2 x 250g containers FF cream cheese
1 scoop White Chocolate Mint Select Protein
1/3 cup eggwhites
1/2 cup splenda
1 tsp mint extract (or double scoop the WCM)


Directions:

- Add all brownie ingredients into a good blender or nutribullet, pulse until completely blended.
This will take some time depending on your blender as there are few wet ingredients, may need to shake/scrape sides and re blend a few times.

-Pour into 9x13 cake pan or pyrex dish (grease this first)
-In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese until softened
-mix in everything else
-pour over brownie batter
-optionally crush candy cane over top
-Bake at 350 for 24 minutes, remove and let cool completely
-refrigerate 4+ hours to set
-Mine cut into 24 pieces nicely, size as you like them

-Enjoy!!!

We talked prior to but not after. There was somewhere in the base layer or right between the 2 that just had a strange sour or almost tart taste. I know when I poured in the base it looked like the lemon juice started heading to the surface regardless of blending it in numerous times.

Only other thing I thought it could be was I used plain GY and not vanilla and then I used liquid egg whites instead of separating egg whites on my own.

Too tasted good at least lol.


As for the bark, what ratio are you using of yogurt to scoops of protein? I think I'm gonna whip that up tonight. At the gym now and will hit the grocery on the way home.
 
I did 1 scoop in 1/2 a tub, was a 500g tub iirc.
I will go 1.5 scoops next time though

1.5 scoops per 1 cup (227g) is what I'll attempt

Thanks... I hate mint especially peppermint, I bought them cause I trust PES only :) I'm confident this will be good, I should get them Monday, I'll post my feedback then :)

if you hate mint, buying a mint product may not be the best investment to match your taste buds.
Thats like saying you do not like seafood, but yet go out to dinner and order salmon, chances are you may not have the best of luck on the outcome.
 
The overtone is mint, definitely not peppermint because I can't stand peppermint and I'm enjoying the protein. It is a mild candied mint.

I do this all the time. I go to expensive seafood restaurants and order fish, even though I hate fish, then I complain that I don't like it and send it back to the kitchen. I do it to show off my wealth and status.


I'm definitely a marked man in the chef world.

Absolutely not lol.

I pulled the candy cane bits off the top of my baked goods because I HATE it
But loved the protein taste

It may be a strong mint for you but it is not that kind of mint for sure
 
I'll get a full review at some point but flavor is absolutely on point. Another company I work for makes a chocolate thin mint that's amazing, but more of a MRP because the sugar content is too high.

For the profile this has, the flavor is incredible. Definitely get that Ande's mint taste but no choclate; kind of hard to describe. Its not really white chocolate to me but I guess it is close to that; maybe almost a creme taste accompanying the mint. Regardless, very unique and maybe my favorite Select flavor.

Absolutely beats the piss out of vanilla, though. Not even same ballpark. That would be like saying in general (about protein flavors as a whole, not just Select) vanilla is like wearing a condom and all the other glorious flavor options out there is like without. Sure, Select vanilla may be like THE best condom out there -- better than the competition -- but it's still wearing a condom. Get it? LOL

So yeah, I would happily trade the 12 lbs. of vanilla I have for WCM, because it's fantastic.

So to sum it up: Vanilla protein is the safe option but not as exciting and fulfilling as other flavors.

My dad sent me this pic this morning. The tub I won arrived at home! I'll be cracking it open tomorrow as soon as I get there. Staying at my apartment at school an extra day because my other two tubs (1 Snickerdoodle and 1 WCM) are being delivered here tomorrow!! Can't contain my excitement!

I was told it wasn't peppermint but spearmint, I mean the kinda sweety mint , I know it's meant but there are two kind of mint usually peppermint and spearmint so the sweet one am I made myself clear? If not I'll try harder :)
 
Try a full scoop of WCM and a quarter scoop of Milk Chocolate in 8oz unflavored unsweetened almond milk for quite possibly the best protein shake you have ever had. Its like WCM on steroids!

You do realize that peppermint is sweet correct?
It is especially popular around the Christmas season
Peppermint bark is a chocolate confection. Generally it consists of peppermint candy pieces, such as candy canes, in white chocolate on top of dark chocolate, but peppermint bark can refer to any chocolate with peppermint candy pieces in it.

Thanks for the explanation, you are clearly an expert in tastes lol now I got it, I'm not use to these sweet, here in uk there's nothing like that I thought peppermint was more "ice effect" than sweet, spearmint instead more sweet than ice :)

I guess I'll have just to wait to try :)

basically copied and pasted the definition and pictures for you in a matter of 2 minutes
i am not use to those sweets either because they are not my cup of tea, a small search solved that answer pretty fast.

Last night I mixed this with chocolate pb2 and some almond milk and coconut flakes. Tasted like thin mint Girl Scout cookies. I'm hooked. Tonight I'm gonna make some home made coconut oil mint chocolate sludge

The brownie crumbs is what caught my eye. Figured crushed peppermint again, but had to zoom in when I saw the crumbs. I was definitely intrigued, haha.

I wouldn't have thought to try this.

Thankfully I have a couple of chocolate Select sample sachets in my possession so I will hold onto them so I can give them a go.

Delicious


The chocolate isolate mixed with water on its own tastes dead on to hit chocolate and I thought it may pair well here. I was right.
