Could go either way with an abbreviation, needless to say just another personal experience and feedback with getting a job via networking.
it has its perks/benefits over knowing nobody.

No... It can't go either way because it's not just an abbreviation, it's a title. That like saying PHD could stand for "poop hole Doctor" or MD stands for "monkey dong"

This. I work at a hospital.

Lots of alphabet soup around, but RN is always Registered Nurse. BSN is considered higher than RN, as it is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Exactly. My mom, sister, and gf are all nurses. Mom and gf are rn's (gf is going for her bsn now) and sis is a bsn.

I don't even know what a "research nurse" is...

This is getting off topic so I figured I'd ask anyways lol

My girlfriend is wanting to be a nurse, can one of you message me or just post here if you'd like.. Her advisor isn't very helpful so she's confused on the process of classes and schooling for becoming an RN and the difference in BSN and everything it takes to become one or the other.

She is also contemplating going to a Technology school to get her LPN where it's free vocational training until you turn 24. It's basically a trades school. And how she may have to go about getting her RN after.. Like would she have to go back through all the schooling as someone starting out would or what?

She's currently getting her basics at a University and is about done with those.

To be fair, I have seen that job designation before. However, it is independent of the actual credential that they went to school for. I've seen RNs, BSNs, MSNs etc with that job title before.

Do you feel the facebook dislike button will cause massive violence worldwide due to the increase of negative emotions?

Maybe not violence, but definitely a chance for people to be overly negative.

Facebook did a social experiment where they only showed the negative statuses to certain people and they found that when users were subjected to a lot of negative emotion online, they themselves posted more negatively.

And vice versa for showing mostly positive statuses.

a Job that makes her work at a major university (colorado University) and she makes 6 figures a year + has full benefits.

bold, same could be said with slang terms
I don't work at a hospital so I don't know. It just was an abbreviation for something my brothers wife did at a hospital since he was a pharmacist there. I do have a cousin who did nursing at Florida State University and she has a job where she basically travels around all the time and enjoys it.

Hit me with a pm. I can prob set her up with my sister/gf and they can talk out the option. My gf just finished her rn a yr ago and is currently working on her bsn and my sis went straight to bsn and will prob go further.

Its an unneccessary feature IMO. It gives people a chance to show their hate instead of just ignoring something.

In some cases I can see its usefulness, in others, not so much.

Haters run supreme on the internet. We all know how serious being a keyboard warrior is.

Ok here is a debatable point,

Do you think it is fair of a self-promoting fitness industry (model/trainer/etc) to be using photoshopped images of their body/clients'

No. This is one of the things that is wrong with the fitness industry now.

Creating unrealistic expectations is inherently wrong and sets people up for failure.

photoshopping would just take away from them providing a true and pure picture. Using light filters and image filters will skew the feedback of the coach and their clients progress
Many people filter their progress pictures and use fake lighting to enhance how they really look. Try to do that and then step on a stage. You won't do so well. Then when people start to question well X looked great all prep what happened to him on stage

Furious pete had a good vide on this:

I think it's fair only by the industry standard. If you didn't it would be like trying to compete natural in unnatural competitions.

Money talks and sex sells. You want that money, you gotta do what it takes to look good. Cheat to win.

New topic: finding your significant other is all about settling for what best, not necessarily what your ideal person is

New topic: finding your significant other is all about settling for what best, not necessarily what your ideal person is

No person is flawless, and you won't find a mirrored image out there either so compromise is a necessity.

I would never legitimately "settle" in that I wouldn't marry someone I didn't feel a seriously powerful connection with and genuinely wanted to be with the rest of my life.

It's not about settling,
It can be about putting aside cultural/media expectations and coming to terms with what you yourself want in life and in love

There's a reason they call it "settling" down when you get married. Of course, some (like my wife ;) ) settle up! Lol!

So how long is this gonna last? I mean, 8 pages is a lot of comments to go through. Lol!

Let's say 1 more day of entries, then the reps will get our finalists

Yeh, I don't know that anyone finds their "ideal" significant other. In any relationship there is going to be some give and take. In my personal relationship we love each other greatly but we have almost 0 hobbies or interests in common dang near polar opposites. Love is a strange and powerful thing.

New topic: finding your significant other is all about settling for what best, not necessarily what your ideal person is

Some how when you meet that person, you will know, "They Are The One" !!

And what if you're wrong? I can think of plenty of times where I (and just about anyone else, ever)was absolutely sure of something that turned out to be flat out incorrect.

New topic: finding your significant other is all about settling for what best, not necessarily what your ideal person is

No way! Why settle?! Just wait, the ideal person will come along…I have some good friends that settled, got married, and hate their lives…no thank you haha

New topic: finding your significant other is all about settling for what best, not necessarily what your ideal person is

I would say it's both. Some people settle for someone who is an okay match - some find the ideal person for them. It's a lot more likely that whoever people feel they will stick with is a good companion/partner and supportive in the way that person needs.

Been there done that after a 4 year relationship and the girl talking about marriage the week before we broke up
Then she came over started dropping F bombs every other word, then we broke up, then she joined a sorority, and then she became the neighborhood bicycle. Not to mention overdrew her bank account by 500$ and then asked me for money

Ok girl
NO thanks.

I love bicycles!

I do not have a good answer for this, we all make mistakes and sometime have to pay a price. That being said (typed) it pays not to jump into anything, time will help you make the right decision in some cases. I have been married twice, this first one was not a "mistake" we just grew apart after 13 years, the second one is still going strong after 25 years!!!

New topic to debate: calorie/carb cycling isn't as important as macro-nutrient ratios for weight loss assuming total cals over the week are equal

That is a preference, some people prefer the same kcals daily, and find they recover better.
Some get very lethargic and have bad mood swings on caloric/carb cycling.
I would say its not as important because anyone can allocate their calories to suit them and find their progress. it comes down to what works best and is "optimal" for that client as long as their caloric intake is in check.

So you are in fact agreeing with the above statement?

Hyde and Matthew1237 pm me your finalist any time you're around and we will get the winner figured out soon and get someone some Orbit credit

So you are in fact agreeing with the above statement?

Yup, but everyone likes to allocate their calories differently.
Otherswill believe in different methods of what has worked best for them. (Coach's or clients).
Some just like to stick to what works for them (Caloric allotment or method wise) and roll with it
Think Dave Palumbo and Keto (low carbs with heavy cheat meals) or a Chris Aceto (High carb / low fat)
