OP, I'm not knowledgeable about studies on HICA. I do know that 2g seems to be the common dose. As Driven said, I haven't heard about any negative sides at around 4 doses and have used 4g or more myself (E9 + Amino IV) in the past with no problems.
I see your question is in regard to wasting product. While that may be a concern if you were supplementing with bulk HICA, I don't see how you can get around it if you are using other products that have HICA as an included ingredient. I assume you take your pre for other reasons (energy, pump, focus, etc) and same with your intra (endurance, pump, recovery, etc). Myosynergy has benefits well above and beyond HICA so you'd be taking that for different reasons as well. Because all of these products have HICA, there will certainly be some degree of "wasting" but if you drop one of your current products, you lose the benefits that you derive from said product.

No it makes sense, and I was going to end up doing it anyways for that very reason. I'm going to be alternating between E9 or Alphamine pre/intra on top of the Myosynergy and obviously they all have benefits outside of HICA. I was just wondering about diminishing returns because I have not seen doses higher than 2g.
Recommendation is 20mg/kg for bodybuilding purposes and it should be plenty, no need to take more.
Yea that comes out to just under 2g for me. But like I said, I'm take the products for other reasons so I'm gonna be getting more anyways. Hopefully it does me some good while in a deficit.

Wasting? For things like HICA it's all about the timing. If you are dropping 4 grams in a single serving then yes, you are probably wasting it.
