I eat always pre workout but dose my xgels after my warm up. . Seems to work just fine

A warm up is pre workout?

Also insulin is negated by exercise so fuels tend to be shuttled to skeletal muscle by onset of exercise.
 
How much extra do u normally eat when running ARA / PA.

I am still at maintenance calories and going slightly over on some days.
 
Here's what confuses me about some specific advice regards ARA... the avoidance of Omega 3 close to taking ARA. Why am I confused? Eggs. Eggs have both ARA and Omega 3 contained within. If these worked against each other, why do they exist together in something so natural (and fantastic) as an egg?

Eggs are food, not a supplement designed to increase inflammation in people who are resistance training. There's a reason we cycle on and off of ArA.
 
I think that people sometimes forget that when we talk about ArA and omega3 supplementation, we are typically talking about *maximising* ArA uptake. No-one is saying omega3's will exhaustively inhibit ArA uptake. We can obviously be selective with our ingredient consumption so as to *maximise* the effects of any particular ingredient; that nature has these ingredients existing 'side by side' as components of an organism can be somewhat irrelevant to our goal.

Because you eat eggs for the protein and fat, not to maximise the inflammatory response or to maximise ara use in skeletal muscle.

Grains contain phytic acid and minerals. Phytic acid inhibits mineral absorption.

I have yet to see anyone who saw any extra benefit of going beyond 2g... I'd venture a guess that 90-95% find there sweet spot at 1-2g

4g seems a touch high haha. Beneficial? Who knows for sure. But it would be pricey
 
There is a company in the UK where i am from that are selling pure ARA powder for £25 about 40 Dollars for 100 grams.
 
Unless there was specific data demonstrating the additional efficacy (and safety) of such megadosing for extended periods, Id personally opt for Neuron's approach if I were inclined to dose 'high'; ie start high for a week or so and then gradually lower the dose over subsequent weeks (until I was dosing as per norm).

I saw that too, from Bulk Powders, who are certainly a reputable company. I wonder how it compares to the gels. I'm assuming it would have the same effect? Can't see why not. It's a good price for sure, compared to the alternatives.

What's the % ara though in the powder? Xgels and X factor I believe are both 40%. That could make a huge diff if it's a much lower %

Edit: says 100% but that seems insane... Over double the product for less $$... I am skeptical
 
God damn, thats pretty sick.... may have to try this out - pretty sure xgels/factor are 40%.

Will give this a go in 6 weeks or so
 
Also means I can take 1 1/2 grams 5 x a week for 10 weeks, and it only costs £25 as opposed to spending £40 per bottle on 3 xfactors which is £120 - nuts.

I hear this and know bp is good to go usually but it just seems incomprehensible that after all the decades of ara supps being in existence that no other company has ever come up with this... Or even a % extract at that price

It's not 100%. When MN was making bulk ArA it was 10% and I am pretty sure they said that to make it a powder they couldn't get it above 10%.

This.

The nutritional info clearly states it is 100% Ara powder not 100% Ara content. Is is likely 100% Ara powder standardised for <10% Ara

Be mindful it doesnt actually list how much of the active is contained within the powder. It could be a very low standardization

There is no way a powder is standardized for 100% Ara. It is however 100% Ara powder.

Our caps contain almost 100% Ara oil yielding 40% Ara. Huge difference here. So you pay 25 pound for a minimum of 4x less

Hmmm, Im suspicious of this bulk powder. I mean, Im sure its legit, in that it probably dosnt contain any filler, but 100% ArA? Maybe it is 100% source material, so not literally 100% ArA...the cynical part of me suspects there may be a 'flexible attitude' being taken towards the labelling of this powder, intentional or not...I dunno.

Im all for cheaper products but a powder cannot be 100% of something given impurities and other things. Then I just saw it was labelled as 100% powder, which It is.

Some Chinese distributor is prolly selling Mortierella Alpina powder as arachidonic acid 'powder'.
 
Which gms product would you recommend as glycergrow2 and hemavol don't contain it? They only contain glycine and from reading, glycine isn't fat based so it doesn't emulsify.....

There's a couple brands of just micronized gms. Analyzed supplements and genomyx iirc

I'm picking up some Fearn's here locally, as it seems to have the highest verifiable phospholipid content. If I like it, I'll probably order more online at a cheaper price.

This is confirmed... I contacted them and they informed me it is standardised to 10%, and I said they should update their website with this information.

Both have been up. Weight up about 4-5lbs but doing more maintenance calories vs bulking or deficit. Strength has been most improved. Up on all compound lifts avg between 40-50lbs and going to failure or 1-2 reps shy of fail. Most noticeable has been increase in endurance and recovery. I could stay in the gym all morning if I didn't have work! No DOMS either. A great feeling esp day after doing SLDLs too!
