Can't believe it took me this long to find out about this thread! Serious ice cream enthusiast over here. I ran a Ben and Jerry's for 4 years, and worked at Hagen Daz for a brief stint as well. Definitely in for this!

Talenti Salted Peanut Caramel Gelato

After a few bites I started to really dig the caramel swirl. The compliment to the unique base has a very luscious and rich caramel taste that reminded me of the insides of a snickers bar. You get a very dense flavored caramel, scattered pieces of peanuts as you dig down the pint, but instead of a chocolate coating (think candy bar here) you have a sweet/salty peanut brittle coating(base). Put all of this together and you get Talenti's Salted Peanut Caramel in a nutshell. Unique, delicious, and a great job on a sweet/salty ratio gets a good grade from myself. I would still not place this above Sea Salt Caramel, but it is deserving of a scoop! A little more of the peanuts, and a thicker swirl would of gave this an A grade.

Grade: B+

Any good? <img src="http://anabolicminds.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=117318"/>

Not sure, kind of doubt it compared to others.

While standard line is kind of meh

Yeah my wife saw it and it looked interesting. She ended up with private selection dinali extreme moose tracks which is actually stellar for $1.89

At 1.89 hell yes lol

I would pay 5.99 for Haagen Dazs and still be disappointed

I did grab some of the Artisan series though just because I had to try a few

really good pint for the price, I would give it a B at least. The fudge swirls are really tasty and they have awesome texture

Yeah, I was impressed with the private selection for the price it's hard to beat. You gave it a B+ which seems right on par.. Especially for a store brand

I might go pick the HD up tomorrow.. It was on close out for $2.91

Brewed to Matter - Coffee Ice Cream w/ Fudge Chunks and a Brownie Batter Swirl

What's your opinion of B&J's coffee base?

I had salted caramel core last night. The saltiness of the caramel was surprisingly enjoyable and plentiful. I got a bunch of caramel and blondie chunks right at the bottom, a happy ending if you will. BUT, vanilla base sucks!

Ended up picking up the Hd midnight CnC for $1.89 on clearance. Will review tomorrow

WAIT A SECOND...

*counts on fingers*

Yeah, he's right.

this will be my favorite thread from now on.

I second that sentiment.

had this today. was pretty good better than the coles pb ice cream here.

Probably twice the price though right? Maggie's stuff vs. Coles pricing must be impossible to compare.

HD midnight CnC - pretty tasty base with lots of mix ins. Not a ton of texture change with the mix ins but a chocolate lovers dream for sure.

New Orleans Ice Cream Co. Mint Chocolate Cookie

Overall this is a mint lovers dream! The initial taste of the base had your mind jumping to thin mint. When dig into the crunchy cookie bits that are provided you get the perfect replicate of the outside of a thin mint cookie. The Cookie pieces are present from the top of the pint and enhance as you move down the pint to full pieces of cookies (think Graeters Cookies and Cream in size). The small additional of a minty swirl that provides a richer, denser, and flawless flavor to the pint is icing on the cake. On Second Scoop also raved over this pint, and labeled it their favorite mint ice cream. I personally am not the biggest fan of mint, but I could eat this pint again without hesitation it was so good. If i was a mint fan this would be an easy A.

Grade: B

this is by far the best mint ice cream i have ever had.

^^^ meh, would be too messy. I guess if you can pick any two flavours but hate cones!

It looked cool/unique which is very BnJ but meh I wouldn't pay for that over a pint/cone

Curious, how many people here lick ice cream cones and how many take bites?

I hate ice cream melting on me, I get it eaten fairly quick

Wont be messy at all. the entire thing is rolled into a waffle, you could fold the sides up to prevent it from getting bad.

and by how fast you eat ice cream, you wont leave a drop :)

Touché. Its kind of funny I eat pretty slowly except when it comes to ice cream lol.

This.

Put a steak in front of me I savour every bite.

A bowl of ice cream, you'll barely be able to follow my movements smashing it

is B&J Clusterfluff good? / and has it been DC? i found a frigde at a servo next to my gym with heaps tempted to grab

Will pickup and review, they also had another flavor and a couple cookie sandwiches, I will try them and update the thread with reviews. Thanks
