Front Squats 135 x 20 185 x 15 205 x 12 225 x 10 275 x 8 Leg Extension 100 x 20 115 x 15 120 x 12 130 x 10 145 x 8 Leg press 610 x 20 700 x 15 790 x 12 Lower back was killing me..had to stop. Disappointed in today's workout. Front Squats really got me. Been too long. Heading home to eat. Gotta work tonight so gonna shower and ice the back and take some ibuprofen.

My backs a bit tweaked as well. Hit up some foam rolling and such.

Did you try to do too much after being away from them for a while maybe..? Gotta ease back into these I find all big lifts actually.

Kind of miss front squats, no reason why I don't do them, I just haven't in awhile.. nice job on them!

Not real sure. I felt like I took it pretty easy today. My legs could have handled a lot more they aren't even sore today. Just think I tweaked something on my last set of front squats

Having a cranial sacral massage today. Hopefully it will help

Well my back is officially Fu cked so Im getting a cranial sacral massage this morning and it's going to be a day full of ice and anti-inflammatories in hopes I can at least work tonight. If u have never had one of these massages u should try it. Definitely a rest day. Hoping I feel better tomorrow.

Thank yout everyone for the well wishes. I really appreciate it and it brightened my spirits today. Starting to feel a little better today. I went to the chiropractor last night. Turns out I have rib that slipped out Still hurts today.

Well its been a painful road. I've been laid up all week. Turns out somehow I managed to slip a rib out of place. It's been causing some serious pain in my back and after a cranial sacral massage and 2 chiropractor visits I'm still sore as hell. I'm hoping I can get over this thing by Monday. I'm not sure how the hell it happened. I did front squats on Monday and my lower back started hurting so I called it after only 13 sets on quads. Immediately called and booked a massage and took the night off work Monday to let it reast. After my massage my lower back pain was gone but I noticed my rear delt was really sore still from shoulders last Friday so I was concerned. It got so bad by Tuesday afternoon I couldn't bend over or move my head to the left. So I went to the chiropractor. He adjusted the $hit out of me and I felt better but by this morning I was just as bad as Tues. I haven't worked all week or trained. I'm going nuts. And to top it all off I can't sleep bc the pain is so bad. No health insurance either....i know I didn't tear anything so I'm not too concerned.
 
That sounds like a whole lotta suckage. Hope you are indeed better by Monday.
 
I'm having similar back issues but on the mend. Back pain can put the breaks on most movements! Heal fast brother.
 
Rest up get better , just another bump in the road, you know what you have to do.

Well its now been 3 weeks since 8ve been able to train. I've been on Prednisone, Flexaril, and Tylenol with codeine to sleep and I still don't have much relief. Beginning to think I may have a pinched nerve as I'm getting tingling in my hand now. I'm frustrated and depressed. I'm eating like $hit and I just want to start training again.
 
That sucks man. What are the docs saying?
 
Tough go, I know it's hard to hold your diet cuz you don't feel good about not training. Hang in the best you can.
 
Sure hope it gets better soon! Hate its lasted so long! You can do the nutrition part though! That part is mental--I know how strong willed you are... You've got this!!!
 
Damn dude, that is horrible... sorry man. Do the best you can.. I know when I was laid up last year for 6-8 weeks it was hell..

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack. After a 4 week hiatus and a ton of pain, I've decided I need to push through this and get back in. I don't have insurance for a MRI and I feel like I can function again so i started back with 20 mins on the stepmill last night and even though I wanted to throw up I felt ok. I'm not even 80% but I need my gym life back. Had a nice 90 min massage this morning. Just finished up meal #1 of 6 egg whites and 2 full eggs with 2 slices of cheese and a 50 g protein shake. I'm going to carb cycle for the next 8 weeks hoping to get some of this weight off. I'm at 245 right now, but I hate the way I look. 4 weeks of eating crap food really got to me. I will be doing 3 days with no carbs and then 1 day with. My carbs will be rice oatmeal or sweet potatoes only. Glad to have some focus back. Gonna hit some cardio and maybe some light legs or arms I haven't decided yet. Feels good to be back. Sorry for being such a stranger. I am battling some major depression symptoms from everything going on and I hope that I'm coming out of it now. Thanks for all the kind words and prayers. I love and appreciate everyone. Time to get back to work

Feels great to be back however it's gonna take a lot of patience. Overall not a bad arm workout of 32 sets. Really shake and have lost some feeling in my left hand due to a pinched nerve somewhere but I will overcome this.

Which fingers go numb? If you know for sure its a pinch disc then you can sorta narrow down which disc by which fingers. Obviously it's between C4-C7. If I remember correctly and I can look back through my old notes or ask my wife but index and forefinger is C5-C6 pinky is C4-C5. Forearm is C6-C7. Something like that. I'm fused from C2-C7. And lower back also. So, it's not the end brother, just a different page!

It's my left index finger and slightly in middle finger but not as bad. Feels like I can't feel the tip of my index finger at all sometimes
 
Interested in the convo. I have numbness in my right pointer also.
 
My whole hand goes numb and wakes me up hurting in the middle of the night!!
 
Funny you mention Carpal Tunnel. That's what they first diagnosed me with because of my age. They did the surgery, and on the 6 week follow up the doc said " feeling much better right" I told him no that it was even worse. Felt like a grapefruit under my shoulder blade and my hand and arm would go numb and then feel like needles. They did an MRI and I had surgery a few days later C3-C7 were obliterated no disc whatsoever. Doc said I must've had both problems, carpal tunnel and blown disc - friggin idiot doc. I went to a Neurologist for the surgery and follow ups.

Good that you're back. Don't take what happens during these periods too seriously. Take your time and rebuild and in a couple of months you are going to feel silly about getting so down on yourself. Bounce back is faster than you think.
