Thanks everyone! OHP feels great. I've dialed in a few technical issues and I've really been hitting it hard. Nearly 1:1 with my bench press. I think it'll stay this way too, I like it.

And reg, you gotta start with the top down. I build almost a "shelf" with my lats to press off of, then a tight core, then glutes (and quads to some degree) contracted. Treat every rep like you're pressing through the ceiling, one of the biggest mistakes on OHP is pressing just hard enough to complete the rep.

This is so true!! The core must stay tight throughout the entire press. If the core gives then your legs are trying to compensate for it.

Thanks, rob! I feel like a broken record, but I can thank swimming for my shoulders.

I'm always tempted to hit up some push presses for overload, but I figure I'll save them for when I stall.
 
Decided to hit the bench + accessory portion of my Thursday workout today because the gym is closed on thanksgiving. I'll hit the heavy squats on Friday morning.

It's great to know my pause and tng bench are essentially the same. Only difference is I can rep out better with tng but that's a simple TuT thang,

Honestly today's workout was boring. Want this cycle to come to fruition so I can get back to some real training. This low volume crap leaves me feeling like I barely did anything.

Really looking forward to Friday's squats. First time with 405 on my back and I'm going to double it. Woot.

Happy with the PR. I'm not afraid of the 4th wheel anymore. Felt the same as 390 honestly. Is rate the top set an RPE 8-8.5. I get a little looser than I'd like in the bottom, but I can work on that.

Unable to remedy this low bar rack position BS though. I'll keep trying because the pain I get above 365 is bad. Can't even raise a 45 pound plate above my head. Blah.

It feels like as soon as I unrack the weight all the load shifts from my back/delts/traps to my arms. Not good.

Always love to hear from you guys. Gotta hurry though before my girlfriend comes over. She yells at me for being on my phone too much HA

It's the opposite for me, when I place the bar higher I feel the weight on my arms more. Oh well!
