Looking great man! Awesome progress. You're so tall; your calves and biceps are gonna need more size to keep up with your prodigious torso. Quads have really come up a lot too; they look really legit here (all homo).

When were you thinking about competing? Didn't you mention perhaps this coming fall?

Thanks guys. Been smashing the legs hard now that I'm healthy...

I know my bi's and calves need work big time and I'm doing what I can. Hopefully they come along.

I was considering doing a pl comp until my hip flexor issues. I'll be doing a show or to somewhere between April and June. Maybe two.

I really wouldn't worry about doing a meet until you get through your first show; then you can shift your off-season training forcus towards strength/intensity over volume and hammer those muscle fibers more (Stan Efferding-style) and do a meet when you'll be in a surplus. Maybe get heavy on the deca & abombs for a bit.

Sounds like a good plan. I am doing a show April 4 and am already thinking about cutting. I attempted to last spring, but things were crazy in my life at the time and I didn't start cutting quick enough so I passed it up. So I am getting a little ansy this time wanting to start soon. haha

My coach has me dialed in unbelievably. Changes are daily. A good coach is a hell of an asset.

Well we had 21 weeks from yesterday. Actually instead of hiring a coach my brother is helping me. He has a nutrition and training coach so he is using what he is learning and helping me ;) We are going to use the next two weeks to follow a very strict diet and start cardio to see how I respond and go from there. So to answer your question haha, probably 18 weeks. There will of course be other "supps" in as we go ;)

You're not gonna start with cardio this far out though, right? Just a test phase?

Probably just a test phase to see. I am guessing I am around 14% right now. Also figuring around 30lbs to lose. I would like to come in middle weight so I need to be under 176lbs. Which at 20 week is 1.5lbs loss a week. Last spring I attempted to cut full blown. As far as 0-15g carbs a day. Went fine for 2.5 weeks and then stalled. I would rather do a slow cut this time even if it is 20 cardio post workout 4 times a week haha.

The way i usually do cardio....say for instance a 12 week cut. Start cardio at like 10 mins 3-4 times a week and bump up 3-5 minutes a week.

Wide pull ups 5x5

Bent over rows 4 work sets

Meadows 4 work sets

Seated rows 5 work sets

Deads conventional from a 4 inch deficit 6 work sets

Facepulls Ss incline curls. 3 triple drop sets


Between EVERY set I did calves. Time to make these chickens grow!

Calves between every set sounds gruelling in itself .... and 29 sets of them, have fun getting out of bed in the morning.
