^^ This attitude is finding it's way into my head more and more lately.I really want to get bigger & heavier. I don't want to get fatter, but I'm not sure there's much way around it without huge amounts of drugs that I'm not really interested in dealing with right now. No way I'm getting to 250 from 208 currently without continuing to get sloppier. I suppose I can always recomp once I get there, but in general I think the best thing for me is not rush it too fast & take my time getting there.
Exactly - I would only remember them for the purpose of steadily trying to increase reps or periodically bump weights. The progression is what's important, not the number. If you curl 20lb dbells for 10, & now you can consistently do 11-12, you're adding muscle fibers. Nobody cares what you curl - it's how big the guns are. I'm looking at this from a maximum power perspective. More weight & size means more leverage. Gaining 40lbs in even a year is gonna be a pretty sloppy 40lbs. But I can tell my frame is built to be bigger than 220 weightclass. 242 probably. 275 would be straight fatboy, & I don't want that. That's what Jim Wendler squat his 1000 in multiply at, & he was fat as heck.^^ This attitude is finding it's way into my head more and more lately.

That's what I'm thinking. The 35lb set was diagnostic while he could see what I had going on, then we hit the 50 w/ proper muscle activation & just kept adding weight. Honestly I could see 100 working. I wasn't counting reps, just kept thrusting until I started to burn decent, but it was a lot it seemed.At your size, 80lb kb swings should be no problem. I'm much smaller and use the 70 when I decide to throw in some swings. Great for conditioning.
