Never understood the aversion, I also do 9, 13, and 18 rep sets.

My first strength programs from a buddy would use 3x7s a lot, so I guess I stuck with it.

How do you like the reactive slingshot? Do you have experience with the original? Contemplating one of these in the near future
 
liftandswim Reactive is by far my favorite slingshot. I think the other two are too strong to have great carryover, unless your lockout is the weak point, I guess.
 
Reactive good for the all around lifter, I could use the original with my super weak lockout though.
 
I have original and it is good, but as the guys have said it is a hair strong.

18" is right below the knee for me.
I know for me, it's harder to get the bar moving but after that the weight flies
About the same.
I find it harder just for that reason, but NomZ always seems to get some serious weight up either way

Ya I'm a blockpulls man when it comes to moving more weight. Sumo I can get even more off blocks.

I'm weird in that I find sumo off the floor easier than blocks. I can never figure out where the stand when I pull sumo off of blocks.

Ha ya, sumo off blocks was weird initially, I believe I have it perfected now.

Block pulls in general, people may struggle to find the correct positioning that would transfer over to a floor pull.

My conventional off blocks, as long as I get it off blocks, it will come up. Sumo off blocks, the lockout is trickier.
