Fun day! I'm going to have to do some C&P with the new axle bar we got at the gym. I prefer benching on it, though. A fat, hollow bar makes me look like I'm strong.

Remembered staggered grip is way easier, but need a heavier keg.

While it's on your belly, flip your under hand over, and then transition to the rack.

I had no problem doing that, I just couldn't pop it up to the rack off the belly. I finally got the last one by dipping, triple extending, then dipping to catch.

That sounds about right, the axle C+P is rough man. There really isn't a lot you can do to technique it better, find a way that works for you and practice the **** out of it.

Not sure what you mean, as in Dave advocates more rest or less?

I like it this way for the work capacity; I just do as many sets as possible until my speed drops off, then shut it down.

Car deadlift is more leg drive than anything, so should help conventional more so. Sean got to see on Instagram...
 
Its more like a hack squat than a DL.

Do you think a barbell hack squat from blocks would have a good carryover to the car deadlift, then? Or from the floor?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever even seen a BB hack squat.

I did a simulation of it that was pretty close (although, the pick was a little low so it would be better off blocks)

I'm going to say no since I've done both, minus a real car deadlift.

But from my understanding you should treat it like a vertical leg press and focus on pulling back, not just up, thus BB hack squats wouldn't be particularly good.
