Been sick all week with a nasty early summer bronchial thing. I hope to be back in the gym tomorrow or Sunday.

Weighted vest walk yesterday of 2 miles, then I had to help pull up 1400sf of carpet that had been flooded.

You want to test your conditioning, tear up and load wet carpet. Good lawd that was pure misery.

AM weight 297, still unable to press. :/

i love testing my strength and endurance with real life physical work....i have seen jacked looking guys trying to push a stalled car and looking like little girls. gym muscle is for show, i want muscle i can use!!!

This was incredibly hard. My conditioning seems to be getting worse, and weight loss is taking a bite out of squats.

I'm too gassed to do much else for assistance work on squat & DL days. I'm trying to eat more but I'm just not hungry.

AM weight was 296. My lever belt is officially too big, and I had to go to the last hole on an EliteFTS single prong XL belt last night. I'm going to need a large.
 
i usually lose strength when i lose weight...but usually conditioning improves...maybe you are coming down with something?

I think I just need to devote more time to harder exercises like prowler & sprinting. It may just seem to be getting worse as it's getting gradually hotter in the gym as well. Heat absolutely stifles my appetite and the humidity drains me.

Just gots to get tougher...it gets increasingly more difficult as I age. I just want to be a *****. :biglaugh:

hell yeah it gets tougher as you get older...look at all the former athletes who have let themselves go. but there is greater satisfaction when most guys your age have thrown in the towel!!!

Upper day...so dumb that I can't press at all. Pisses me off.

I need a dip belt or a chain for my belt.

Then I rowed a ton. BB rows, machine rows, lat pulldowns, BW pull ups. Rows!

Also hit tris and bis with a little light shoulder work. Nothing inspiring today, just working the back.
 
Today I was 295. Went on a 2 mile weighted vest walk then hit about 6 minutes of incline treadmill sprints. This may hurt me tomorrow for squats. :eek:
