My right iliopsoas is going to be the death of me. Super hypertonic, I can feel it pulling on anything unilateral and my hip flexors were very tight today as well. Spent a good time stretching after this session, and going to chiro tonight.
 
What stretches do you do to target that?
A deep lunge, full cobra, full cobra with a twist to the side. I need to find more. I do mash it myself when I reach in there and dig around.

Got in an argument with the staff who decided to single out the powerlifters and threaten to remove us from the gym for problems other "powerlifters" are creating. They ended up backing off...guess it's time to find a new gym.
 
That sucks about the gym, but very solid pressing. I guess the other "powerlifters" aren't even powerlifters...that's some bs to hassled for that.

570 was a combination of technical error and lack of confidence. My usual crew was a no show, so no side spotters. I was fast descending then lost my hips behind right out of the hole and fell back. Came back and got 555 for a 5lb PR.

I typically use 2.5m Convicts or 2XHs, so the RPMs weren't ideal, I just forgot to pack my good wraps.

Thanks man. I had actually set the safety pins one notch higher before doing this set and I was second guessing whether attempting without a spotter. Can't be lacking confidence when it comes to moving heavy weight.

Definitely way out of groove, I think I would have had it too. I try to get my 3rd attempt wrapped by my training partner, so really missed that tight wrap today. Also missed my 2.5m wraps, lol.

Rep PR on the 405, think the most I've done is 5. I easily had 10+ but my knees have bothersome lately from all the quad work, so not going to push. Thanks to Sean or Rodja for the psoas stretch technique with internal hip rotation, did that in a deep lunge today, so much relief.

Close to a couple big presses there. Do you try pushing back at the top? Sometimes when I'm about to miss guys will say "towards me" and I muster out the last couple inches...other times it still fails though haha. Just a thought.

And also after them OHPs probably made it hard too.

On the bench pushing back? You mean flaring the elbows and letting it drift towards my face? I tend to try to stay pretty tucked, might have to try it.

The only reason I didn't go heavier on the sumo block pulls was because the bar was catching hard on my quads, as well as my hands catching on the thighs. Gotta bring baby powder to training.

Uploading meow, pretty fast. It was awful how much friction there was between the bar and myself. I actually bruised my quad on 655 bc my overhand fingers dug in on the pull.
 
Looked smooth, man. Could your torso have been up more or that just your positioning? Don't think I've ever seen you pull off blocks.

I've used water on my thighs when I pull at work so I don't make a mess with baby powder. It's decent.

I'd say pretty normal positioning for me, doesn't mean it cannot be improved. Hadn't pulled off blocks in a year or so...Interesting, wouldn't have worked over my compression shorts, just gotta make baby powder a staple.

What's the difference in support between the blue and black. I've used the red one several times, but not the others. I understand that the black is similar to a multiply shirt, but how much does the blue help?

Black is SUPER strong. I personally don't like it for raw benching, it causes people to overtuck and goes a little above and beyond regular overload, like 80lbs carryover, and it takes maybe 225-275 to touch without really pulling the bar in. Blue is my favorite, minor overload, natural groove, can easily touch just about anything. Probably half the carryover of the black one.

Sounds like the black is similar to the Super Ram. It takes most ~275 to be able to touch in that thing and that's with a big belly/arch.
