Douchebags at the gym...

"Good" Commission based salespeople are fantastic and I would buy from them 100% of the time if I could. Why would I buy something from someone that has no incentive to sell it? They will know zero about the product, give two fuks about you as the consumer, and care little about their own personal success. On another note it's seems like people aren't happy with the guys that know about the product or they b!tch about them not knowing anything at all. Pick one....

The last time I went to GNC, it was an old grandma selling me multi vitamins.

Yeah she's not one of the good ones lol.

The gnc I stopped by next to my house (first gnc I'd been to in probably 10 years) had a new manager and he is a fantastic salesperson. I will buy from him even if I have to pay more from now on...

Well, I was able to get two jars of BCAA for free. I guess flirting works 99% of the time. :D

I'm quite the opposite... There are problems with both types of salespeople... Some commission based sales people will sell what makes them the most money, instead of what's better for you... Some that get an hourly wage or a salary will sell what is best for you because they get paid either way... It depends on the salesperson in the end... Also could depend on the country in this case...

My solution is to do my own research on a product so I don't need a salesperson to do anything except put my purchase through the til... Also shop around...

Those guys on America Ninja Warrior are so buff... O.o

Haha, I can't sleep. *shoot me*

I don't buy from anyone- commission or not. I am there for what I need and there is nothing they are going to "sell" me on. I don't know how any of you let someone waste your time by allowing them to ramble on about things you likely know 10x more about. I cut them off quick.

I'm one of those nice suckers and I hate it. It took me years to finally start hanging up on telemarketers without feeling bad. Sigh***

I am very nice and cordial about it, but I don't want them wasting their time. I try to never be rude for no reason.

I stand there smiling, laughing, maybe reach and touch their arms, get wide eyes, play stupid like omgggggg are you serious this stuff is this amazing?!, all the while thinking in my head: how the F do I walk out of here?!?! I avoid these places. O.o

So you're basically giving them signals that show you are into what they're talking about, but thinking the opposite...

Yes, :'( cuz I'm too nice.

If you drink pepsi during your workout you might be a douche

no you're not...you're being deceptive, and that's not nice! (Now go get me free shít)

Haha, I call it flirting!!!!!

Or the dude who brings in the ice venti latte frap with whip cream. :D

No the worst people possible are the "badass" dudes at the gym. Like they'll do a set of 225 on the bench and then walk around and give everyone a dirty look with an undeserved amount of accomplishment

Haha I had "that guy" come and critique me on something or other. I pulled my headphones out and reminded him my forearms are bigger than his thigh. Once he learns to grow his legs or lose this nice layer of 14% bodyfat then he can talk to me... Until then go back to sucking ducks for spare change in the parking lot. He stormed off really mad while everyone around me laughed.. Haven't seen him in a week.

I've never understood unsolicited advice- especially in the gym. I've had guys I train tell me I should go correct someone on their form or whatever and I tell them the same thing in a gym setting- "never assume someone wants to hear your advice/opinion unless they ask."

Well, last night tons of people were coming up to my partner to ask for advice. It was the weirdest thing because I've never seen it before.

i have the worst luck with supplement shops! asked the guys at my gym who run the supp shop there for a cycle support cause i will be starting dmz. dude tries to sell me something with liver care and an ai smh why are they allowed to sell supps!
edit: i asked if they have anything close to cel cycle assist, he then proceeds to look it up on his computer and i hear him say " hmm looks like it's just a bunch of natural ingredients. fml

So you ask for something that is going to help a cycle and he tries to assist with liver support- what is the problem?

That's like the overweight couple who sells supps and protein shakes at our gym's smoothie bar.

My point is that you are getting on him and he actually was helping. So he didn't have an all in one, at least he wasn't being a moron.

That's funny!Great post!

...... Duhfuq am I reading. Maybe you shouldn't be cycling o_O

Lol I don't even use a liver support. I get regular bloods, diet clean, take my multis with other vitamins. GH helps too but I am always on the up and up. If lipids are elevated I drop any orals and keep injecting. Liver support is overrated in my opinion

I agree, I only use tudca if it's a methyl oral, non methyl I use none.

no point in arguing with you know it alls

So CEL cycle assist is a rip off? Is that what I'm reading?

It's a good value in terms of how the ingredients are dosed, but is provably unnecessary and there's no evidence to show that it will offer liver protection. It may help with bp and lipids but not as much as the agents I mentioned above. Telmisartan also improves your cardiovascular capacity in addition to being cardioprotective.

so I'm at the airport with a carryon bag full of like 25 individual ziplock bags of vanilla protein all rolled up and stuffed in a bigger ziplock. Sorta sketchy looking.

My bag gets flagged so I'm like "****". TSA agent comes over and questions me about a tiny bottle if lotion n makes me throw it out, then sends me through. Kinda made me lol.

Hahaha. I'm traveling next month and am taking 10lbs with me. I was gunna bag them and celofane wrap them to look like bricks of coke. I wanna see what they say.

they won't even care lol

higher priority: lotion > possible drugs

Or actual drugs. I traveled with growth and a few vials of gear with pins a couple times. I put it in my checked bags. I take the labels off and if they were to ask... "Dog medication"

Same sh*t happened to me! I got checked for lotion and my hands got swabbed for a suspicious smell, but the guy next to me was able to take his razor on board. (It was in a clear bag.)
