a garbage pwo called spark, meal replacement shakes, cleansing pills,and omega 3's smh advocare is the douchebag in this case

Fuk... Welp, I spent $400 on medi-fast. Soups, crackers, shakes, chili, blah.... All trash.

I do that for reps now days, ha ha....( 8-10 , deep)..
But that's only on my fun day once a month, other than that I have to lift light n high volume

I quite possibly have one of the top anti-douche gym environments around. The owner is an ex Vietnam Marine and ex pro body builder. This guy takes no bull****.

He was training a HS athlete and while doing a set of leg presses the kids shorts were sliding down and he kept pulling them back up between reps. The owner was training him and I overheard him say: "if you're more worried about your God d*** shorts than your workout then either wear some f***ing pants or don't train." He will also, personally, chase people down and rip them a new one if they don't rack their weights.

He's also a really nice guy if you're not unmotivated or an idiot.

Sounds great. I love retired Marines from the old Corps. Guys take no sh*t and are hilarious because the stuff they say to people. I can't wait to be that guy when I'm old. Just givin no fuks

I think they mostly help if you hold water in the stomach area but it may help a little with transverse abdominis not sure!

Kat's right. They cause the core area to sweat more. I guess if you wrap it tight enough it will cinch your waist but I'm not sure how much it affects waist size over time. I've started wearing mine just to keep my back warm.

My mom bought some of that crap. She's constantly trying to find a "quick and easy" way to lose weight. I've written her countless nutrition plans and training routines. She never sticks with them. Still unsure how we're related, she's just like both of my younger brothers. None of them lift :(

If you're a girl squatting numbers like that you're either genetically gifted or on gear. Likely gear. I don't judge or anything tho! :)

This is especially true if you're lean as well.

Women are genetically stronger at lower body lifts than men are, lb for lb.

Not in my experience. My girl puts up 3 plates for reps @ 135 and hasn't done any gear whatsoever. Tons of girls at my gym are squatting big weight for reps.

Just bc you can't squat doesn't mean other ppl can't.

I'm being honest. I've never seen a girl squat 3 plates IRL. I doubt it's common. I don't think there is ifbb pro figure girl out there that can do it. i.e Amanda Latona, Ashley kaltwasser, and Michelle lewin to name a few.

After that is physique division with girls like DLB and none of them at natty.

Not many, but there are a few who pretty big quads and ripped that only do 1 plate. Back at my Uni gym there were more serious female lifters and the most I saw was this chick doing 2 plates

Well it's not uncommon where I train. Then again a lot of real legit men/women lift in Venice.

Sigh**** you're pretty much talking crap about every girl who's busting their ass, trying to prove to themselves and to all the a**hole muther****ers who don't believe in their numbers. I started at 45lbs a year ago, plateau after plateau, fuk ups after fuk ups, and now I'm squatting heavier than some guys at my gym. Ill continue to keep fuking up, plateauing, and pushing forward because I know that I'm barely scratching the surface of my potential.

Dude he weighs 166lbs. He don't even lift. Don't even give anything he says a second thought.

Lol come to my gym and say that. Girls be pressing more than dudes. Even had some jump in on my leg days with me. My leg days are no joke

How many reps are we talking? The women's all time WORLD record squat at 132lbs is 391. That's a woman that trained specifically for strength and for a long period of time. Probably had to cut weight too.

Your girl should probably compete and break that world record, lol. I've been to a woman's PL'ing competition and seen some jacked and strong women, but repping 315 at 135# is not normal. That's world class.

Yeah but it's like saying physique guys aren't lifting the heavy weight bodybuilders are or power lifters are. It's a biased opinion that's based off of the weight lifted with no variables accounted for like the persons weight for example. Pound for pound some of the figure ladies I workout around and even with for different exercises are as strong as me easily.

The perception that girls train. "Differently" or that girls. "Lift less because they are toning" or because they are "girls" is crap. The human body and muscle responds to the same stimulus in men or women regardless. What's different is how the muscle develops and recovers. That is dictated by the bodies hormones, genetic makeup and muscle structure. I lift the same when cutting or bulking, only things that change are my pharmaceutical hormones, and diet (mainly diet). It's a stereotype that is actually fed to women and they train improperly at the beginning of starting a routine until they discover that heavy weight, drop sets, ascending sets, forced reps, rest pause work the same way in then as in a mans body. Because they carry less muscle mass the overall volume of the working sets changes but not the overall rep ranges or weight ratio changes. Ask any TRULY QUALIFIED personal trainer or coach. (Certified doesn't mean qualified)
